This was originally the site of the Chongshan Temple, and the Confucian Temple was moved here in the eighth year of the Guangxu period (1882). Although the cultural relics in the exhibition hall are well protected, the outside of the exhibition hall is not ideal. As a cultural relic storage point in Shanxi, there are a large number of inscriptions and small cultural relics in the courtyard of the Confucian Temple. These cultural relics are piled up in large quantities, but they are not classified and sorted out, and there are no protective measures. The current central axis basically retains the original architectural pattern of the Confucian Temple, from south to north, they are the screen wall, hexagonal pavilion, Lingxing Gate, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, East and West Wu, and Chongshan Temple, with three courtyards in front and back.
