Sükhbaatar Square: The Pulse of Ulaanbaatar

Sükhbaatar Square is the main central square in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. It is a must-visit when in Ulaanbaatar to experience local vibes and culture. Highlights - This is a vibrant central square and filled with locals dressed with beautiful traditional clothing. Usually, there are important ceremonies held in the Government Palace right in the centre. In the palace, you can also see huge statues of Genghis Khan, Ögedei Khan and Kublai Khan. Another important highlight is the equestrian statue of Sukhbaataar, a revolutionary leader. The square is filled with beautifully bloomed flowers. You can see many important buildings in the country around the square like the State Ballet and Opera House and Central Cultural Palace Building.
