Wakkanai Park

Wakkanai is located on the island of Hokkaido and also has the claim to fame of being the northernmost city in all of Japan. This time I’ll lead you to Wakkanai Park. Wakkanai Park is also called Wakkanai Koen and you can spend time here walking past some 4,000 cherry trees for which the park is famous. One of the great things about the park is that it is located on a hill and this affords you the chance to take in the spectacular views across the city. You can also walk to the Hokumon Shrine which sits at the top of the hill and there are a number of trails to explore on your way down. Address: Japan, 〒097-0022 Hokkaido, Wakkanai, Central, 1丁目 #travelinspiration #wintergetaway #unforgettableexperiences #naturalwonders
