Wuhan Hotels: Every Frame is a Scenic View

A Super Detailed Review of the Wuhan Marriott Hotel Xiangtou✨ I recently checked out the Wuhan Marriott Hotel Xiangtou, and I'm here to share my experience~ 🏘️Room Type/Layout: I stayed in a Sky View Executive Open King Room with a lake view. The room was a good size and well-designed, with distinct functional areas. Moving around the room felt natural and efficient. The oversized circular bathtub in the bathroom was a highlight – I could comfortably lie down and enjoy the beautiful view outside while soaking in the tub. It was incredibly relaxing!🛁 🛌Amenities/Facilities: The hairdryer was a Dyson, and the toiletries were the Marriott's global standard "this works" brand, guaranteeing quality. The tea bags and capsule coffee were also of a good standard. The room also thoughtfully included a JBL Horizon 2 alarm clock speaker, conveniently located by the bedside. The walk-in closet had 12 clothes hangers and a handheld garment steamer, perfect for keeping clothes organized. The 6th floor housed the swimming pool and gym. The pool was 25 meters long and 1 to 1.4 meters deep. While not huge, it was sufficient for a good swim. The bathroom also featured a steam room and sauna. However, it wasn't possible to access the 6th floor directly from the guest rooms. I had to go down to the 1st floor and take a different elevator, which was a bit inconvenient. The Executive Lounge on the 61st floor had a dedicated bar for guests, which was a unique touch. 🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The overall hygiene was excellent. The room was spotless, making for a worry-free stay. The soundproofing was also effective, ensuring a peaceful resting environment. 💗Other Tips: 1. Room Recommendation: Room 4609 offers stunning views of the city, Shahu Lake, East Lake, and the Yangtze River. I've even created a room selection guide for your reference during your next stay. 2. Dining Experience: - 2nd-floor breakfast: Weekdays 6:30 - 10:00, Weekends 6:30 - 10:30. The breakfast featured local Wuhan specialties like hot dry noodles, Xiangyang beef rice noodles, Xiangyang beef noodles, and handmade wontons. The selection was extensive, and the fresh juices and waffles were particularly delicious, exceeding the average Marriott standard. - Afternoon tea: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm (5:00 pm on weekends), offering pastries and beverages. - 61st-floor Executive Lounge Happy Hour: 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. The food quality could be improved; the dishes were a bit bland. Adding a couple of fresh juice options would be a nice touch. Every Monday is Member's Day, featuring special dishes. 3. Attentive Service: From the moment I got out of the car, the doorman proactively helped with my luggage. The check-in process at the front desk was quick and professional, with detailed information provided about breakfast, the lounge, and other amenities. The welcome gift included a handwritten welcome card and a local bookmark based on the guest's region, a thoughtful touch. The first round of the minibar was complimentary, stocked with several soft drinks and two bags of local snacks. Upon check-out, the hotel provided two Rituals toiletry gift sets as a parting gift, a gesture that truly impressed me. 4. Minor Drawbacks: As a newly opened hotel, there was still a slight smell of renovation in the room, although an air purifier could be requested from the service center. Also, the curtains by the bathtub and the sheer curtains opposite the bed were controlled separately, and the control buttons weren't conveniently located near the bed. I had to get up to close them, which wasn't very user-friendly. The elevators were also a bit of a wait. There were only four elevators in total, and only two went up to the 61st-floor Executive Lounge, requiring a transfer on the 59th floor. To reach the 6th-floor pool and gym, I had to go down to the 1st floor and take a different elevator. Overall, my stay at the Wuhan Marriott Hotel Xiangtou was quite enjoyable. The views and service were outstanding. With a few improvements to the dining quality and some design details, it would be absolutely perfect!
