Yantian Ancient Camphor and Rainbow Bridge

Visiting scenic spots on the northwest line of Wuyuan, small attractions include Yantian and Rainbow Bridge. Yantian is mainly about pastoral scenery, with a small train shuttling through the rape fields when the flowers bloom. During the off-season of the plum rains that we are currently in, one can visit a 1500-year-old ancient camphor tree. You can also see the verdant bamboo leaves dripping with rain, walk on the ancient stone bridge, watch the lotus by the pond, and enjoy the endless scenery during the peak season and the quiet elegance during the off-season. The driver said we bought our oil-paper umbrellas too early, as the nearby oil-paper umbrellas are all sourced from Yantian and are cheaper than those in Jiangwan. But it's also okay, better early than late, and our brothers and sisters who visit later can take note. Rainbow Bridge is an ancient covered bridge from the Song Dynasty. The weather with fine drizzle makes it look like a 3D projection after post-production, not like an authentic real-life scene. I feel that the scenery I saw and captured is better than the official promotional images on the ticketing website. Rainbow Bridge also feels very familiar, as the scene where Pan Dongzi in the movie 'Sparkling Red Star' fusses with the cotton-padded clothes by the water was filmed at the head of the bridge, and the segment 'Little bamboo rafts floating in the river' was shot upstream in the river. Moreover, many other movies were also filmed here. Walking from the covered bridge to the opposite side of the river and then hopping back on stepping stones is both fun and offers another perspective to appreciate the beauty of the covered bridge, the clarity of the river, and the freedom of the fish.
