Xidi Ancient Village: Half Water, Half Fire

One Day in Xidi Ancient Village, Southern Anhui Xidi Village covers an area of nearly 13 hectares. It was built in 1131 and has a history of more than 950 years. There are 3 ancestral halls, 1 archway, and 224 ancient dwellings from the 14th to 19th centuries. Xidi Village has well-preserved typical Ming and Qing ancient village styles and is known as a "living ancient residential museum." Many years ago, I climbed Mount Huangshan and then went to an ancient village in southern Anhui. I had to choose between Hongcun and Xidi, and I chose Hongcun and Likeng Bamboo Sea. I also took a look at Tachuan. For a northerner, Hongcun is an amazing experience. This time, I visited Xidi, looking forward to a good time. When I approached Xidi, I still saw the old people, old houses, old archways, and a tabby cat wandering around. Before going to Xidi, I also went to the free Xixinan Ancient Village.
