I prefer this ancient town to Wuzhen.

The ancient charm and beautiful scenery are everywhere. Stroll through the alleys of Hongcun and feel the history and the passage of time. Immerse yourself in the town and feel your mind become calm. This is a great place to visit. The morning and evening are the best times to take photos. There are fewer people in the off-season. 🚌Transportation: The town is very convenient to reach. The bus station is at the exit of the scenic area. There are direct buses from Huangshan North Station (15) and Qianxian East Station (8). 🏠Hotels: There are hotels both inside and outside the scenic area. 🎟Tickets: 104/💰 Tickets are valid for 3 days and allow multiple entries. If you want to experience the Huizhou architecture, you can stay in the scenic area. In the off-season, the price is just over 100. 🥙🥙Food: The main dishes are Huizhou cuisine. Snacks include fermented tofu, baked buns, rice cakes, and handmade yogurt. Main dishes include stinky mandarin fish, dried bamboo shoots with shredded pork, and chicken soup. Drinks include fermented rice wine, rice wine, and kudzu root powder. The food stalls all taste similar. Although Hongcun is quite commercialized, I still had a good time and recommend it.
