I have never found a B&B that caught my eye and matched my aesthetics until I stayed at [Shushan South]… Beautiful courtyard story I want to start with the story of the boss and his wife: they met in Lijiang Old Town and opened a B&B in Lijiang Old Town for more than ten years. Now they are back in their hometown doing what they like and staying with their parents. Both husband and wife are talkative, enthusiastic, tasteful and very hands-on. Courtyard environment The B&B was designed by the proprietress herself, and she incorporated the log style just right, making it warm and textured without any sense of violation. They paved the path at the door themselves, and they bought and remodeled the retro cabinets, stools, tables, and flower arrangement utensils from fellow villagers. Old objects are really warm, just like this B&B. Outside the yard is a paddy field. In summer, it is a lush green field of rice. In autumn, it is covered with golden ears of rice. The artistic conception in Hayao Miyazaki's animation is nothing more than this. Listen to the conversation between crickets and frogs at night and the birds waking you up in the morning. At dinner, we drank the rice wine brewed by the boss, listened to the stories of the landlady and the boss, and made tea together around the stove, inadvertently chatting until late at night.
