Yuhu Village | A Stone Village on the Snow Mountain Peak

halo😎 Going to Lijiang without seeing the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain feels like something is missing😔. But during the rainy season, it rains almost every day🌧, so taking kids up the mountain is really not a good idea😕. Originally, I wanted to go to Wenhai Village, but the transportation is not very convenient🚗, and I heard it's best to drive there yourself. So I chose Yuhu Village🏘. There is a direct shuttle from the south gate of Lijiang Old Town to Yuhu Village, passing through Shuhe and Baisha, costing 10 yuan per person💸. Remember to choose the time slot and buy the tickets in advance🎫. From the Yuhu Village parking lot, you can directly see the snow mountain scenery🏔. Unfortunately, it was raining when we went☔️, so we couldn't see anything🌧. It seems that seeing the snow mountain requires a bit of luck🍀. The overall route in the village is not long, and if the weather is good, you can hike🚶. Since I had a child with me, I went straight to the visitor center to buy sightseeing bus tickets, 30 yuan per person💸, and children under 1.2 meters are free👶. The sightseeing bus has two segments, with about a kilometer of hiking in between🚶. Make sure to keep your tickets safe, as they check tickets every time you board🎫, and the last bus is at 18:20🕕, so plan your time accordingly. The final stop is Longnu Lake🌊. When we got there, we realized that seeing the snow mountain wasn't the most important thing😃. The view includes mountains, water, and grasslands🏞, and cows and horses leisurely grazing🐂🐎, which is incredibly soothing😍. The lake is not big, and if you have the energy, you can walk around it and see the scenery from different angles👀. There are horse rides and little lambs you can hold for photos, but these require additional fees💸, so it's up to personal preference😉. My child wasn't interested in anything, so I can't give you any recommendations😅. I went at the end of June, and there weren't many people, making it perfect for photos, no filters needed📷. There are restaurants along the hiking route, including small eateries run by villagers🥢, and well-decorated internet-famous restaurants🎉. You can also take the direct shuttle back, which departs every hour on the hour🕛, just wait at the yellow sign in the parking lot🚌, and buy your return tickets in advance🎫. Note that the return trip only goes to the Old Town Waterwheel, not the south gate🚪. The drop-off point is near Zhongyi Market, so if you haven't visited, you can take a look👛. If it's early, you can also get off at Shuhe or Baisha🚏.
