Hidden in Yunlin Douliu, the Yunzhong Street Cultural and Creative Settlement was originally a group of police dormitories built during the Japanese colonial period around 1937. These wooden houses exude a strong nostalgic Japanese flavor and are considered historical wooden structures. The buildings are characterized by Japanese wooden architecture, with black or cement tiles on the roofs, bamboo and mud walls inside, and hollow brick fences, showcasing common features of Japanese dormitory buildings.
