The old town of Sousse, Tunisia, is a maze of charm and color — narrow alleys lined with whitewashed walls, splashes of blue doors, and the occasional burst of bougainvillea. Every turn reveals something new, from local artisan shops to cozy cafés tucked away in quiet corners.
We spent the day exploring the Medina of Sousse, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with history and life. The atmosphere is both lively and laid-back — merchants greet you with warm smiles, the scent of spices drifts through the air, and the sound of distant ocean waves adds to the magic.
Whether you’re browsing handmade crafts, enjoying mint tea at a rooftop café, or simply getting lost in the beautiful chaos of the streets, the old city of Sousse is a place that captures your heart.

The sky was an incredible shade of blue, making the ancient fortress stand out beautifully against the backdrop. Climbing to the top of the Ribat, I was rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and the Mediterranean Sea—truly a sight to remember!
The history here is fascinating, and you can really feel the past come alive as you walk through the stone corridors. With fewer crowds in spring, it’s also a great time to explore at your own pace.
