Whenever Mercure takes over a property, one can always be assured of transformation for the better. This is not the first Mercure “revamped” resort in Thailand I had been to. This spot was once a locally run beachfront resort called Lom Talay. Translated it means sea breeze. Everything here has now been entirely renovated, reconstructed and enhanced to a level that you never know it was once the site of a tried resort that had seen better days. The pool had been re-cladded, beautified and now features jacuzzi sections. The landscaping completely redone. The accommodations are now ultra-modern, you can find so many USB charging ports in your room you can combine them to charge your Tesla. They have in total just over 50 rooms, so this resort still retains solitude vibes for one that seeks a quieter seaside retreat. According to what’s known, there is a second phase coming, expanding the resort with another hundred plus rooms, more restaurants and facilities. How the vibes will be then, remains to be seen. This be a small resort of sorts for now. On popular weekends, parking will have to be 2000 miles away as the front porch will be already full of parked cars. Not to worry, a golf cart is available to ferry guest so that you won’t have to bake in the inferno climate of Thailand. The pool will be mostly empty in the day even when the resort is at full occupancy. This is because Thais only come out in the gentle hours approaching sunset. They don’t like to grill in the sun like foreigners to become red lobsters. That said, there were mostly locals when we were here, I will say only 15% were of overseas origin. The beach is very well maintained, no rubbish strewn around like the resorts further west. The gradient is gentle and reveals critters during the low tide. Dig in the light brown sand a little and plenty of clams can be found. The waves were gentle in March, the clarity of the sea was the I can see my ugly toe-nails in knee deep water type. Not much of a bustle which I like. Occasionally, cheapo jet skis (more of like a jet ski body with an outboard) whizzed by the beach to decapitate unsuspecting guest in the water. Mercure is situated alongside the main road, and just next door is a public beach that separates the resort from a row of rustic seafood restaurants. They don’t’ seem to have changed much over the decades. Live seafood in tanks, and to be guaranteed a good restaurant, just watch out for which has a crowd. The alternative for dining will be in the resort’s lone restaurant in a much trendier setting watching the sunset. This is where breakfast will be served too. On the weekend we were here, there was a seafood BBQ buffet going on. There is a bar on the side of the building for that light after dinner beer chatting deep into the salty night. Breakfast is buffet styled with a good spread of food for a small resort. It was no disappointment. The restaurant had plenty of space to sit all the guests even during the popular hours. T

The hotel is located near the bypass route, as well as Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, which is easily accessible from Pattaya and Bangkok. When I arrived at the hotel front desk, the staff spent a lovely time with me even though their awareness that I had arrived on a day of heavy rain, and the staff was attentive to my trip, security staff they are good take care my car as well. Front Office Staff, she gave me the greatest room with a pool view and explained where I could share my new journey in Rayong. 100% I shall be back here.

Great location on the beach with everything you need 2 mins walk away. Great white sandy beaches. Lots of bars and restaurants which ever beach you walk to. Hire a scooter for an hour or a day and explore. Regular baht buses right outside hotel. Room was very modern with fan and air con. Nice big bathroom, bed on the firm side. Buffet breakfast nothing special with mix of Thai and European. This place however is very noisy at night with very loud music right up to midnight. Then very noisy again at 7.30am in the morning with all the staff shouting, builders arriving and breakfast starting. We had a very enjoyable couple of days and it's a great place to forget all your troubles.

Located on Sukumvit road , very close to Laemtong department store. Small parking lots, the room is quite small but was convenient. Love the automated toilets there.

Stayed here for one night and due to circumstance was just looking for a good value as there was no time for a resort setting this trip to Rayong. In that situation I usually stay at the Marriott but for a place to sleep and run errands within Rayong this place was great. Room was bigger than I expected, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was solid considering the limitations these days but given the space they are using assume that in ”normal” times it is probably quite grand.

This is a very nice accommodation , consisting of a a main open alley with rooms on each side of the hall way , there is a reception area which sell drinks and at the end of the short alleyway there is a lovely cafe which sell fruit, coffees, smoothies , juices , and croissants and various toasts topped with fruit etc and they sell a nice burger and chips also, this is on the beach with loungers and bean bags and other options if you want to stay off the sand , some of the staff are friendly and smiley and some are not. the rooms are cleaned when requested no problem just leave your key at reception, the location is ideal , 5 minute walk to 7/11 and the village , I have to say this accommodation is idyllic with its thatch roofs and minimalistic style , I loved it here and I will stay here again , the only negative I had about the place is they didn’t clean the rubbish from the beach , the beach is the reason we go here … only 1 or 2 businesses on this beach clean the rubbish regularly , all the others do not clean up and it is unsightly , all the businesses on this island should all make sure it is clean all of the time .

Just wanted to share my amazing experience at the Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa! The room was sparkling clean, and they even made sure my birthday request was perfectly prepared – a big thank you to everyone involved! The staff truly impressed me with their friendliness and helpfulness, especially Khun Wean at the check-in counter. The resort boasts two lovely pools. While the main pool was unfortunately closed for maintenance during my visit, the one connecting to the beach offered breathtaking views that left me speechless. Speaking of the beach, the hotel's direct access was fantastic! There were some rocks near the stairs leading down, so just a heads up to be cautious when stepping onto them. For a relaxing evening, we dined at the C-salt restaurant, and it was absolutely worth it! If you're looking for a convenient and enjoyable dinner option without leaving the hotel, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Stayed at Avatara Resort Hotel from 8 to 10 December 2021. We booked a Triple Room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Layout of the bathroom was awesome with full view of the jungle. Location is not bad just a walking distance to the Sai Kaew beach which was lively and vibrant at night, with many restaurants nearby. Unfortunately this multistory building has no lift or escalators and a long walk from the lobby and beach. Our room was on the 5th floor and climbing up those many stairs is a big problem especially for those with disabilities or older age. Path and corridors along the building are poorly lit. Breakfast by the beach is very popular with guests but service is poor. On our second day, my son found out that the fresh cold milk he had with cornflakes has gone bad. Brought to the attention of the staff who was quite reluctant and no apologies, Restaurant staff should have pay more attention to the quality of food served. Poor and unfriendly staff; no smile, no greetings and treated guests as if we are a liability to them. The staff was busy playing with their mobile phones and chatting with their colleagues rather than paying attention to the hotel guests. We need to approach them every time we needed to order and foods service are poor. Serviette and tissue paper are not provided with the food, have to asked for them.

The lobby area exuded a modern yet cozy atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel. My room was well-appointed and meticulously clean, offering a peaceful retreat during my stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the amenities provided added convenience to my stay. While the overall experience was delightful, one aspect that could be improved is the water pressure. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate a honeymoon weekend with your honey. Recommend it as much. The price is very cheap and reasonable. Breakfast is great l love it. The hotel is located in the centre of Rayong right beside the night market and other city facilities. The room has a kettle, fridge, microwave, plates, bowls and cutlery for enjoying your own food or from the local market to eat comfortably in the large spacious room - everything you could need. The hotel offers a shuttle to the beach, bus station and the shopping mall - central. The breakfast was a large selection catering, for westerner's and Japanese. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They provided towels for the pool area which is next to the gym. This may not be a five start hotel but it has to be one of the most homely hotels I have ever stayed in. Some five start hotels do not take the care for their guests as this one does.

We stayed for 3 nights as a walk-in paying just over 1000THB per night on a holiday weekend. (Budget rooms available for 800THB). Our room was large, with a nice balcony looking onto the gardens, Good air con and a big wetroom bathroom with warm water shower. The bed was large and comfortable with crisp, freshly laundered sheets. The whole place is spotlessly clean- the friendly girl who runs the place does an excellent job, she’s always buzzing around, cleaning and sweeping. The hotel is around 3 mins walk to a lovely white sand beach along a quiet path. You’re not on the beachfront but getting there is still a ‘shoes off’ experience and you’re paying half the price you will for a beachfront hotel. It was a holiday weekend when we stayed with lots of Thai party goers hitting the karaoke hard which sounded like cats being tortured. We were thankful to be further away from the bars and restaurants and had quiet nights here. Wong Deuan beach is lovely but there is less infrastructure here than at Sai Kaew village and consequently prices at bars and restaurants are higher. We tended to walk over to the next bay Ao Cho where there are a couple of slightly cheaper reggae bars. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the beaches and would fully recommend Bell House as a place to stay.

Charges are loose. The hair dryer cannot use. The furnitures are old and basically cannot use. But the bed is very comfortable and clean.

Nice rooms, good location and lovely staff. Very good food in the restaurant too. The staff was very helpful and the lady who borrowed us glasses was so nice and cozy. 10 m to the beach. The room was very clean. We will defently come back some time.

The Samed Villa Resort must not be mistaken with the Samet Ville Resort. The latter is not the slightest in the same class as the Villa Resort. The renovated double bungalows are of the highest standards. Especially the bathrooms are of Swiss quality. The staff is very friendly, understands and speaks mostly English and is quick to serve any requests. The breakfast buffet has a lot of western dishes. The restaurant in general is delicious and not pricey at all. There are great options for lunch and dinner also nearby. There is a spa on the premises but also outdoor massage places under the trees on the sea side.

A little expensive.. But worth it. Great service from the staff. Well kept rooms and a great little pool for the kids. The breakfast was the best I've had on Samed for 20 years. The rooms very new and comfortable. They could improve by having satellite TV, but we are not there to watch the TV. Also they could buy some beach space for guests, but personally letting the kids swim km the pool, sand free, was better. Very close to eating areas but secluded enough to be romantic. The best resort in the area. We'll done guys.

First, I chose Koh Samet because I asked a local Thailand friend which island has not been overdeveloped since my early days coming to Thailand in the 1990s. His response was ”head to Koh Samet”. I looked for a value hotel on one of the more southern, less developed beaches which led me to Wong Duean Bay and the Vongdeuan Resort. The pool was a big draw. With the low tide being pretty extreme, it is really nice to have the salt water pool to cool off in and swim laps. The food seemed pretty authentic to me. With mainly Thai visitors coming in on the weekends it figures the food would be good at the Vongdeuan Resort. :) The staff were wonderful and always so fun to share a story or two with. The beach area all along the bay was extremely clean with no plastic on the beach or garbage in the water. This is a big plus when going to the shore in SE Asian countries. There are several beach restaurants but none of them had loud music, at least during the weekdays when I was there. It is definitely a sleepy and peaceful place to enjoy the water at high tide as well as the white sand beach for walks.

This hotel is right on beautiful Wongduean beach.....some of the staff are friendly and smiling.....but thats it. The rest is negative....firstly, dont expect hot water. We stayed 6 nights and only had cold water.......dont expect your room to be cleaned. The service staff just left 2 towels and toilet paper on air con unit outside the room. Some days they came in and just made the bed......was funny to watch them cleaning chairs on empty rooms balconies for over 30 minutes and hotel was far from full.....we complained to reception that the sink in the bathroom leaked water over the floor. They said they would fix it but they just mopped the floor.....gave up. Water leaked through the shower enclosure all over the floor. There was rust dripping down the wall from the not properly affixed shower . We paid for large bed but just got 2 very cheap uncomfortable mattresses pushed together.....if you wanted pillows, hangers, hair dryer etc all this was at extra cost.....i could go on but im bored writing about it now.......Koh Samet is a beautiful island but will definitely stay elsewhere next time.......not recomended

My wife and I stayed here with our 8 yr old son as a stop over on our way from Bangkok airport to Koh Chang. Just over 2 hours in a taxi from airport, then another 2 hours onto Ao Thammachat pier so if anyone is travelling to Koh Chang and don't want to travel in one go then this is ideal to break up the journey. Location is fairly remote but there is more than enough around you, eating, shops etc. Pools are amazing and the beach is superb 👌 Breakfast is excellent, everything you wld expect from a typical Thai resort (rice, noodles, curry, fruit, pastries etc). Staff were very friendly, we only had a double bed so staff brought a mattress for my son to sleep on, free of charge 🙂 This is a very clean resort and not sure how old it is but definitely has a feeling of being new. The garden area near pool are really nice and well maintained. I can't fault this resort in any way. This really is a hidden gem, what an excellent hotel. If we travel to Koh Chang again (which we will as its an excellent Island) we would definitely stay over at this resort, but next time would stay longer. It is important to add that I don't often leave reviews but this hotel deserves it 👏 Thanks you

The hotel is so beautiful. The hotel decoration and present in traditional in Thai theme. Everything is hotel in so elegant. The hotel room is so cleanness and full amenities. I celebrate my birthday here. I so appreciate for birthday text on TV screen. The hotel service is very good. I recommend to stay here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Situated right next to the beach and the restaurants that line the beach in a very quiet town ofMae Phim this hotel does it all. It is immaculately clean with large rooms and superb water pressure. The hotel pool is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. The price is spot on and we will continue returning here for as long as we can.

เป็นโรงแรม ที่รับกรุ๊ปทัวร์เยอะเพราะฉะนั้นถ้าใครจะไปโทรเชคกับโรงแรมให้ดีๆ ว่าวันไหนมีทัวร์ แต่ถ้าใครไม่ซีเรียสก็พักได้เพราะทัวร์ก็จะมีอยู่ในโซนของเขา แต่อาจจะมีการใช้สระว่ายน้ำร่วมกันซึ่งช่วงที่เวลากรุ๊ปเขาปล่อยให้รีแล็กซ์ก็จะอยู่ที่สากันเยอะหน่อย (และไม่พอใจก็คือทุกคนไม่ได้สวมชุดว่ายน้ำลงสระ ปล่อยให้ใส่ชุดไปเวทลงสะแล้วสระน้ำขุ่นและสกปรก) สิ่งที่ไม่พอใจอย่างยิ่งคือการจองบุ๊คกิ้งของโรงแรมเราจองโรงแรมไปล่วงหน้าเดือนกว่ากว่าโดยที่จ่ายตังค์ก่อนตั้งแต่วันที่จองเป็นห้องวิวทะเล 4 ห้องแต่พอมาถึงเช็คอินประมาณ 5 โมงเย็นทางรีเซฟชั่นแจ้งว่าต้องขออภัยห้องพักอาจจะได้ไม่ตามที่ขอ ซึ่งเราขอไว้ว่าเป็นห้องมีระเบียงและมีเตียงคู่สามห้องเตียงแยกหนึ่งห้องอันนี้โรงแรมจัดให้ได้ แต่ในเรื่องของวิวทะเลที่เราจ่ายไปมากกว่าวิวสวนนั้นกลับไม่ได้ ห้องที่เราพักกับกลายเป็นวิวสระว่ายน้ำ สามห้อง บวกกับวิวสวนที่เห็นทะเลไกลมากอีกหนึ่งห้อง อีกครทั้งในห้องยังไม่มี TV หนึ่งในห้องนั้นมีกลิ่นเหม็นรุนแรงมากด้วย ซึ่งได้ไปแจ้งกับรีเซฟชั่นแล้ว ว่าจะขอเปลี่ยนห้อง แต่ปรากฏว่าวันนั้นมีกรุ๊ปทัวร์ห้องจึงเต็ม อันนี้ก็พอเข้าใจได้แต่ที่ไม่พอใจมากๆมากๆมากๆ คือในเมื่อเราจองและจ่ายห้องล่วงหน้ามาเป็นเดือนแล้วและก่อนเข้าพักหนึ่งวันเราก็โทรไปแจ้งโรงแรมแล้วโรงแรมควรจัดการ และล็อคหห้องวิวทะเลให้ ไม่ใช่มาอ้างว่าพอดีเรามาเช็กอินช้าเลยทำให้ห้องที่เราจองไว้ไม่ได้แบบนั้นโรงแรมควรจะจ่ายเงินคืนเราเพราะห้องเรทราคาวิวสวน วิวสระน้ำ และวิวทะเลราคาต่างกัน ปกติถ้าห้องไม่พอโรงแรมต้องเสนอห้องที่แพงกว่าไม่ใช่เสนอห้องที่ถูกกว่าซึ่งเป็นการจัดการที่แย่มากแต่ด้วยที่ความวันนั้นเราไปเที่ยวมาหลายที่และเหนื่อยมากจึงเหนื่อยที่จะเถียง และไม่ต้องการที่จะ หาที่พักใหม่ ซึ่งในส่วนนี้โรงแรมก็ไม่ได้มีสิทธิ์พิเศษหรืออะไรใดใดให้เราเลยนอกจากว่าขอโทษคำเดียว เราจึงคิดว่าส่วนนี้บริการแย่มาก ๆๆๆๆๆๆ

CentaraQ คือที่ๆ ครอบครัวจะเลือกเป็นอันดับแรก เมื่อคิดจะพักผ่อนข่วงสั้นๆ (หาอาหารทะเลรับประทาน😃) สัก 3-4 คืน...เหตุผลเพราะไม่ไกลจากกทม. มีหาดส่วนตัว (มีเก้าอีผ้าใบ/ชิงช้าให้นั่งเล่น และเป็นพร็อถ่ายรูป)..รร.มีบรรยากาศที่ดีใช้ได้...มีต้นไม้ดอกไม้ให้สดขื่น...มี fitness ให้ออกกำลังกาย....อาหารเช้าก้อหลากหลาย รสชาติก้อโอเค...มีสปาด้วยนะ วิวห้องพักก้อดีค่ะ...ชมทะเลได้เลย👍 พนง ก้อมีความสุภาพ เป็นมิตร และบริการเป็นอย่างดี **เราก้อพยายามอยากให้ทางรร. จัดโปรบ่อยๆ เรากับครอบครัวจะได้เที่ยวได้บ่อยแบบสบายกระเป๋า (แอบส่วนตัวละ😊)

This condo is good and the service is good. I had to check out early for personal reason and they agreed to let me pay only the night i stayed. Much recommended. Be aware that you will need a transportation tho since the area is not covered by grab.

Отдыхали семьей с ребенком 12 лет. Отель был очень достойный, расположен на 1ой линии, вид из номера был на море, каждый вечер с балкона наблюдали шикарные закаты, так же о.Самет. Бассейн очень удачно расположен, буквально рядом с пляжем. Кормили по меркам Тая очень прилично. Номера обновленные, уборка ежедневная. Но само место очень спокойное, пойти не куда, кроме кафешек на пляже. Отель рекомендую.

The room we had was a good size, was clean and smelt fresh when we walked in, the bed was very comfortable. The shower hose should be replaced it was like a hose. It was disappointing that the Fresco restaurant was closed as the others that were open in Mae Pim were mainly seafood ones and for what was on offer were expensive. Breakfast at the hotel was a good one. The locals do like to hit the beach with pick up music at a high level n the evenings. Mae Pim is a lovely safe family beach, such a pity it was so dirty with polystyrene, plastics and assorted other rubbish that the tide had dumped there and no one seemed to be bothered to clean the place up, not sure we will be back.
