Join us on this tour that is about the history of how the constitution of South Africa began at the Constitutional Hill. Constitutional Hill was originally a fort built by former President Paul Kruger to protect the Boer republic against the British invasion. During the apartheid era, the fort became a detention centre until 1978 for political activists like Nelson Mandela before they were moved to notorious prisons like Robben Island. In 2004, the centre opened as a constitutional court and still has a lot of material and memories of 200 South African artwork. Discover more upon your visit.
