It was very quiet when I went there in the morning. There is a coffee shop next to the main hall of the reclining Buddha, and there is also a massage shop inside (open at 9 o'clock), many cats, and many interesting stone sculptures. The place is quite large, and you can always find a quiet corner to drink coffee and look at the sky.
First time visiting this smiling face in Bangkok! Much bigger than expected and worth seeing as its very different from Japanese statues in temple. Many tourists but not too many and was nice walking inside the temple as well.
very soulful and peaceful place to go for tourists and see lord Buddha so beautiful
At the end of 2015, I went to this place twice a day, because I wanted to go to the Grand Palace during the day, but when it was closed late, I went to the Wofo Temple to play for a while. The ticket was 100b. I just can't understand why such a large Buddha was placed in such a small palace, no matter from any angle. During the day, it was very busy. There were company activities and local pupils coming to play. In the evening, I took part in a tram night tour. I didn't look carefully when I ordered it. There was this scenic spot, and it could also be entered at night. There were very few people in the evening. But at night, when the tour guide explained, he knew that all the towers inside were the tombs of the rich people of the princes and nobles. Suddenly, I felt a little afraid and didn't dare to walk too much. By the way, the tram night tour will help us understand the traveling mentality of the Chinese people, explain on the road, take pictures at the scenic spots, gather for a while, and then go to the next scenic spot after the gathering. It's all English commentary. Maybe people all over the world travel like this. My comment has passed more than a year and is still under review. It's estimated that it won't pass.
Compared with the crowded palace, I prefer the sleeping Buddha Temple next to it. Apart from its exquisite architecture, the main reason is that the best massage in Thailand is in the sleeping Buddha temple. It is the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok, with the largest reclining Buddha and the largest number of Buddhist statues and pagodas in Bangkok. The sleeping Buddha in Wofo Temple is 46 meters long, 5 meters long and 1.5 meters wide. 108 auspicious patterns are inlaid with the shell of the mother of pearl. Tickets are only 100 baht for one fifth of the Grand Palace, and the name of the origin of Thai massage can be repeated. And the massage price is cheap and the whole body massage is 80 RMB per hour. The price of massage in China is only one third of that in China.
There is a big reclining Buddha in the main hall. The Buddha is as long as the room. There are many small Buddha statues carved on the bottom of the Buddha's feet. You can walk around the Buddha statue. You can donate 20 baht to the back of the Buddha statue, and then change a bowl of coins to throw into the bowls next to it to pray for blessings. In addition to the reclining Buddha hall, there are several halls in the back and many Buddha statues on the corridors.
Exit the gate of the Grand Palace, turn left, and walk a distance to an intersection. You can see a horizontal road and a small market across the road. Turn left again here, and then walk along the road to the next intersection to the Reclining Buddha Temple. The ticket for the Reclining Buddha Temple can get a small bottle of free mineral water. If you don’t have enough, you can use the bottle to get water from the drinking bucket next to the main hall of the Reclining Buddha Temple. The service is very considerate. The Reclining Buddha Temple is still very large. In addition to the main hall where we are familiar with the Reclining Buddha, there are many temples, which enshrine the Golden Buddha, the Standing Buddha, etc. Taking photos is allowed in the Reclining Buddha Temple, but remember, never take photos with the Buddha statue with your back to it, because this is very impolite in the eyes of Thai people. In addition, the Thai traditional massage in the Reclining Buddha Temple is also very good, but I really dare not try it because of the broken link!
