A little place featuring Indian culture, shops and restaurants in the heart of Singapore.
Singapore's Little India is a gathering place for Indians. You can see Indian-style buildings and markets everywhere, listen to dynamic Indian songs, and there are very unique Indian temples and the colorful Chen Dongling's former residence. The weather was bad when we went there, so there were not many pedestrians.
I have always wanted to go to the mysterious country of India to explore the truth, afraid of eating and not used to it, afraid of travel insecurity, Singapore Little India to understand? This is the gathering area of Singapore Indians, Indian color houses, Indian temples, Indian colorful saris, Indian curries, etc. can be found here. Even when you step out of the Little India subway station, you can smell it: Well, this is the curry kingdom of Little India. So when you go out of Little India, you will still smell curry spice~ When you visit Little India, you will encounter a vivo mobile phone store. The surprise is more friendly. Later, I thought about it before I saw on the Internet that Indians like Chinese-made VIVO and OPPO mobile phones very much. In India, The streets are full of these brands of mobile phone stores, even proud of having a vivo phone, I don't know if Indians like to take selfies? After all, vivo beauty effect is really good In Little India, special meals curry rice can not be missed. There are stores and stalls. Most tourists go to the store to eat. We found an Indian stall, all Indians eat, no foreign tourists, Out of curiosity, we bought a curry rice, the price is 4 SGD, about 20 yuan, just like the kind played in an Indian movie, first hand the curry sauce mixed into the rice, hand mixed, and then hand grabbed to eat. The taste is people who like curry should like it better. People who don't like curry can go shopping here, see the colored house, try the sari, it will be a good experience~ps: although this is not really India, but here in addition to tourists shorts short skirt vests, Indians are all men's trousers, women's sari, People wearing shorts and short skirts with few tourists appear abnormally abrupt. In order not to ''not noticeable'', wearing long skirts and trousers is a better choice~
Little India is the gathering place of Indian communities in Singapore, as if it is the epitome of India, so it is called Little India. Especially when some festivals come, the Indian style is more prominent, and it is like a golden fairy tale world. The buildings here are very Indian style, very characteristic Indian temples, the streets are often dark-skinned Indians, and then eat Indian rake and tea, really like to come to India.
The area where Singapore's local Indian community is mainly concentrated, the overall community building has the characteristics of Nanyang Arcade and is mixed with Indian decoration style. In this area, you can taste the most authentic Indian cuisine and purchase all kinds of Indian goods. The gold shops everywhere are even more impressive.
Little India is quite distinctive, the flowers and incense on the street are really distinctive! Small shops everywhere are buying vegetables and fruits. Indians really grab food with their hands! Don't try the bamboo foot market, the environment is too bad!
