Mount Aso

I was very lucky. This time when I went to Aso, I happened to encounter the crater opening, so I could check in the volcano up close. We made an appointment for Aso Boy at the manual window three days in advance, but failed to make an appointment, so we took the ordinary JR to Aso. So if you want to take a special train, it is best to make an appointment online in advance. Aso Volcano is free, but the transportation cost is not cheap. Excluding the cost of going to and from Aso Station, it costs 730 one way and 1460 round trip from Aso Station to Aso Mountain. There are 5 stations on this line. Generally, Kusa Chisato will come down to take a look. It is recommended to buy a pass for 1500 yen. From Aso Mountain to the crater, the one-way cost is 600 yen, and the pass cannot be used. So it costs 2660 yen for a round trip. In addition, you must pay attention to the time. We went to Kamishiromi Kumanoza Shrine first. When we arrived in Aso, there was only the last bus to Aso Mountain, so we didn’t get off Kusa Chisato. It was so beautiful to see Kusa Chisato on the bus. Don’t miss it. I’m really sorry. The last bus from Aso Station to Mt. Aso is at 14:55, and the last bus to the crater is at 15:30. The last bus to the crater is at 15:45. In addition, if you get on the bus from Kusa Senri and take the last bus back to Aso Station, you must leave time for the return JR. because you may not be able to squeeze into the shuttle bus. The scenery is amazing, it is worth a visit, and if you have enough time, you can also take a helicopter.

One of a kind experience and breath taking views to absorb should it be of acceptable air quality at the crater area/ proximity.

After printing the reservation voucher, you can exchange it for a physical ticket at the entrance of any hell hot spring. Then, tear off the corresponding ticket stub and put it in the ticket collection box. By the way, you can also pick up a guide map and a stamp collection manual. Because they are basically very close, I will go around if I have enough time, so the pass is relatively cost-effective. Finally, there is a mountain hell (opposite to the sea hell), which is not included in this pass because there are animals to watch.
Yufuin Hot Springs

Totally recommended! Yufuin is a small hot spring village that takes about two hours from Fukuoka. Stay at the ryokan and have a warm hot spring and a delicious Kaiseki and breakfast.

There are a lot of people on the side of Yufuin floral village, but other places are quiet, so it's perfect for healing. It feels like a Japanese countryside village. There are a lot of street food, and there are many accessories shops selling cute accessories :)

Interesting castle; most of it well preserved as many items remains intact after many wars. One of the most impressive castles I have visited in Japan! best thing to do while in Osaka!
Aso Volcano Museum

The Aso Volcano Museum is located in front of Kusa Senri. It is divided into two floors. After buying a ticket on the first floor, you can go to the second floor for a visit. The main purpose is to visit on your own. The most impressive thing is the cinema, which simultaneously broadcasts five languages to introduce the formation process of Aso Volcano over millions of years. In the past, the volcanic ash from the volcanic eruption was also accumulated in Hokkaido with a thickness of more than ten centimeters. You can also see Aso Volcano from a distance from the window of the museum ~ beautiful ~

The most unmissable thing for people who come to Takachisui is to visit Takachisui Gorge. Takachisui Gorge is a picturesque beauty due to its special geological features, and it is a must-see place for Japanese people to visit once in their lives for many years. The surrounding walking trails are also perfect. You can see the beautiful columned valley from the top to the bottom of the walking trail, or you can choose to rent a boat to shuttle in the valley, and enjoy the beautiful scenery up close in the wonderland.
