Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

It's a fun ride up and down. The scenery at the top is stunning. The restaurant was very good. I give it 5 stars because it is OK. $15 to park. $66 for a couple to go up ( if you are over 65, you get $1.25 off). Lunch for two was $94 plus tip. So, it's $170 for a fun 20 minute round trip ride and a couple of sandwiches and tea.

Downtown is between Palm Canyon Drive and Indian Canyon Drive (about a block wide) and bordered by Barristo Road on one end and Alejo Road on the other. Mark my words; this is the whole area of the "Palm Springs Visitor Center". These five blocks contain all the shops, galleries, clubs, restaurants, cafes, and we love these attractions in Palm Springs. If you have the opportunity to live in this area, it is really great. One of the biggest highlights here is the Thursday night Village Festival, which is a downtown area with playgrounds, food, crafts, and it seems to be thriving. If you are in the area, remember to attend this festival

Nothing could be better than a few hours in a museum to get out of the desert heat. It’s a place to broaden your horizons and embrace new experiences and ideas. A wonderful time and experience. Next time you’re going to see another museum in the Oalm desert.
Palm Springs Air Museum

The Palm Springs Air Museum was surprisingly open to the public. In 109-degree weather, there was a constant stream of visitors... 2/3 of the exhibition area is outdoors, with the towering mountains in the distance as the background, and the runway next to it is in normal use. It is a perfect location. The aircraft on display during World War II are currently available for rental and flight. The disassembled mechanical structure and 29 old aircraft on display allow you to appreciate the unique aviation art! It is a museum worth visiting. Although the weather was very hot, the children still walked around twice before leaving reluctantly! [Grinning]

Indian Canyons Hiking Trails

I did several hikes in the Indian Canyons area during my four week stay in Palm Springs. It is quite close to downtown and easy to get to. You do have to pay an admission when entering the area. A map is provided. I hiked the easy Andreas Canyon loop, the longer Murray Canyon loop (One of my favorites!), the Palm Canyon/Victor loop, and about half the very steep Maynard Mine trail. As you will see from the map you will get, many of the trails intersect so you can create your own shorter or longer hike as you want.

I'm so glad we decided to take the Elvis tour. You have to make arrangements with your hotel beforehand. If you book a tour you will have a guide who is very knowledgeable about Elvis. There were four of us on a tour and every question we had was answered very well. We loved Elvis. Highly recommend taking this tour if you are an Elvis fan. We were very well taken care of and any questions we had were answered. The price was very reasonable and worth every penny.
