Although Budapest Golden Park Hotel boasts a four-star rating, the experience of staying has made me a little mixed. The location of the hotel is really a great 👍, not only next to the train station, but also very convenient to take the bus 🚍 and the subway 🚇. The reception at the check-in was a bit cold, but it was still smooth. But to be honest, the decoration and facilities of the hotel are a bit different from the four-star, and the furniture in the room looks a bit old. The facilities provided by the hotel are basically enough. There are umbrellas, safes and air conditioning in the room. There is an electric kettle and coffee/teapot for drinking water. The bathroom facilities are also fully prepared, with slippers, 24-hour hot water and hair dryer. The room I stayed in was quite compact. Although it was barely a double bed, the space was indeed a bit cramped. The facilities are also relatively basic, no tea, coffee or refrigerator. The air conditioning effect is not good, resulting in a bit of stuffy in the room, and the hair dryer can only blow cold air. What inconveniences me the most is the location of the socket, which is not easy enough. The only highlight is that the pillow is still comfortable. The small balcony door in the expectation is actually unavailable, which is a little lost. As for the hotel's dining, although there are not many types of breakfast, it is full. We also tried the western restaurant in the hotel, which tasted good and simple and affordable. However, there are many restaurants around the hotel, such as Cotes, Costes Downtown and Karpatia Restaurant, where you can taste different flavors of food. Especially recommended is the fried seagulls of Costes Downtown 🍽️, really good! Speaking of the surrounding recommendations, I have to mention the beauty of the city of Budapest. The classic attractions such as shoes on the Danube River, Fisherman's Castle and Heroes' Square are not to be missed. At the train station opposite the hotel, you can also easily go to other places. It is worth mentioning that there are several good restaurants near the hotel. If you want to change your taste, you can try these restaurants Zincenco Kitchen, Beerstro 14 and Kolbizz Sausage & Beer House, each with its own characteristics 👍. In short, this stay at Budapest Golden Park Hotel, although a little disappointed, but also a fun experience. Next time I come to Budapest, I may choose other hotels to see.
