Old Gate Inn

The Old Gate Bar is a larger bar on New Dover Road in Canterbury that is open until late at night. In fact, in addition to the bar, it is a Western BBQ restaurant, even during the day. The barbecue here is very recommended, the ingredients are fresh, the variety is more, the price is reasonable, and the service is thoughtful. It is very pleasant to eat barbecue and drink beer here.

The staff were nice especially our waitress how was lovely,really nice food we won’t eat anywhere else from now on when we are In Canterbury,looking forward to returning have told my brother in law and his wife about it and they are going next week.

This restaurant exceeded all expectations. It had been closed for refurbishment after having the front of the restaurant badly damaged. Everything inside was brilliant. I shall definitely be dining here again soon.

The food was great and lovely clean old fashioned pub but the best bit?? The staff everyone was so polite friendly and helpful … really warm welcome xxx

We were disappointed that the steak had run out but the fish cakes were lovely. Good menu choices and staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great evening. Will go back????

A really great experience. A very friendly ambience and cosy decor. Great service -very friendly and efficient. Food was of a really high quality. We will be back.
