You have to try it its great!!! Got a chicken dish and split it between two of us then added an extra rice and soup and it was more than enough food. great staff and drinks amazing! such a fun night!

Benihana

We come here about twice a year for birthdays due to the grandkids liking it however this last trip there it came down a couple of notches in my estimation. Not thinking we&#39;d need a reservation at 5:15 on Memorial Day, we were told there would be a 20 min. wait and after 20 mins. were told it would be another 10 minutes. Meanwhile large parties with many small children came in and it seems there were more small children than adults that night. When finally seated, service was quick as to drinks and although our table had two empty seats next to the other couple, (their friends were going to be late) the chef came to the table and checked our order. Quick with his tools, and lighting up the usual onion volcano, he proceeded to make the dinners. It is too much to expect the chefs to look excited after doing the same thing many times a night, night after night but I think it depends on their personality as the chef next to us was smiling and engaging with his table whereas our chef just looked bored and didn&#39;t smile even once. One granddaughter ordered the child&#39;s Hibachi Steak medium well and I ordered the Hibachi chicken. Hers was fatty, over cooked (as it was a very thin slice of beef and stayed on too long and was tough) and my chicken was dry and tough. Yet I watched him cook the chicken and it should have been moist and juicy. My husband ordered the spicy tofu dish and said the tofu was too soft and the sauce added the last 10 seconds didn&#39;t really season the tofu but was more like adding BBQ sauce after the meat is cooked and not basted during the cooking. I will also say that at the table behind us, there were 6 children and two adults and the kids were having a lot of fun banging on their plates with their chopstix but it wasn&#39;t until I stared at the mother for a moment that she asked them to stop...which they did... until they started again! When spending over $120.00 for dinner for four, I really don&#39;t want to hear that or I could have gone to a coffee shop 

I have never taken the time to write a negative review. I think I&#39;ll make an exception. Yesterday I went to this Benihana with a friend for the second time. My first experience at this location was less than enjoyable and I ended up leaving before my drink even arrived. However, I was willing to give it another chance. I mean... where else can you go for consistently acceptable hibachi drowned in shrimp sauce? Not many places. But wait.......... apparently Benihana on the west coast doesn&#39;t serve their FAMOUS shrimp sauce. WHAT????? I waited patiently for our chef to finish preparing our food to politely ask him for two shrimp sauces (which I had previously asked for at the beginning of service) in place of the ginger sauce he&#39;d offered me. It wasn&#39;t until this time that I was even remotely aware of the fact that they didn&#39;t serve the sauce. My chef didn&#39;t even know what it was. Had I known this, I literally wouldn&#39;t have even eaten at Benihana. I dine at Benihanna for 3 things... the onion soup, the ginger salad, and anything that tastes good drowned in shrimp sauce. Obviously, I&#39;m just whining about first-world condiment issues over here. Regardless, it is important to me. I don&#39;t go to a hibachi grill to dump soy sauce on my fried rice for the same reason I don&#39;t order a plain scoop of vanilla ice cream at Coldstone. I came for all the fun toppings. If I wanted soy sauce on bland fried rice and veggies, I&#39;d go to Panda Express. On another note... it was hot as hell because the air conditioning was not functioning in the dining area. It was well over 100 degrees outside. One of the employees was telling us that they would step into the kitchen cooler every so often to find some relief from the heat. The staff was obviously very uncomfortable. On a final note... my friend and I asked to have our entrees on separate checks and received improperly divided bills. We were at a level of frustration and disappointment at this point that left us running for the door after

Izakaya may be the best Japanese izakaya in the SGV area. The environment is good, the food will not step on the thunder, and everything is delicious. The menu will be updated from time to time according to the arrival, and there is a freshness every time you go. It is recommended to book before going.

This northern Yutang snack bar is a Hong Kong-style noodle shop. Recommended five-flavored beef belly, five-flavored pork belly, five-flavored braised eggs, etc. are all good taste. If you use Swiss Maggi soy sauce for pot stickers, it may be delicious.

My favorite place for old school Chinese food, the tangerine chicken is a must along with the best chicken fried rice ever! If your looking for something fancy this is not the place for you its all flavor no frills :)
