I decided to go after reading the reviews. Took a taxi from the hotel since it''s not in the touristy part of the city but in a working class/commercial neighborhood. We speak Portuguese so I''m not sure if they speak English. The setting is simple. No air conditioning. We loved the food! Try their camarão na tapioca as an appetizer. It''s delicious. Their ;pimenta; aka hot sauce is also out of this world... but VERY hot. Be cautious. They also serve traditional caipirinhas that are amazing. My 2 year old boy tried shrimp for the first time. He ended up eating way too much shrimp moqueca.

Come and have some delicious food with your family on the weekend, the taste is very good

The barbecue in the local dish is a must, others are lackluster.
