Cafe de la Place

Just a terrific restaurant, excellent food, service and ambience along with a pleasant and helpful staff. We have eaten here at least 6 times during our group of four’s, one month stay in Talloires and it quickly became our dependable, go to local eatery. It was our favorite in town. The lac perch preparation was the best, even better than anything I had in Lyon, loved the vitello tonnato as well. Plus, it’s probably the only restaurant in France with French comedy skits running on a loop on a TV in the toilette.

We are staying nearby for a month and have already eaten at Cafe de la Place five times! The food is excellent, the ambience warm and inviting. After our first visit they knew who we were and were calling us by name. The restaurant is filled with locals and it feels like country France all the time. Do not miss this terrific restaurant.

Such a gem of a traditonal French restaurant. Amazing food, beautiful and cozy atmosphere and overall delicious wine. They made my son's birthday extra special with dessert and candles. We LOVED this place!

We cannot recommend or rate this little bistro highly enough. We happened across it on a rainy evening and we were so glad they could fit us in.It’s a real locals place with a great buzz and fabulous food. It was so good we went back again (and we were only staying in the village for 2 days), which we really never do.
