Zelyony Bazar

A short walk north from Panfilov Park is a breathtaking green market, which is not to be missed by anyone visiting Almaty. The street where this market is located is called Zhibek Zholy, meaning "Silk Road", formerly known as Trade Street, the name reveals a wide variety of items in the market. There are many souvenir shops and stalls on the outer layer of the market, some areas are clothing shoes and hats, and most of the style quality is relatively low. The most lively is the food area, basically you can find all you want here, a variety of vegetables, melons, fruits, meats, non-staple foods, cheeses, alcohol, seasonings and so on.
