"It was a lovely, but rather noisy family experience and the only difficulty of visiting Mae Nam Pedestrian Street on Thursday night, when the market happens is to find a place to park nearby but bypass the point by getting there before six o'clock in advance. The pedestrian street of Mae Nam is only a few hundred meters long, but it is packed with interesting stalls, food vendors and even moving cocktail bars! Take a moment; there is absolutely no rush here, and some nights you can listen to live music played by local expats or enterprising Thai teenagers. It’s a long night market where you can bargain and eat while drinking cocktails. I just kind of pity the kids in the carriage because it’s something they can’t enjoy. For families with kids over ten, it’s more of a feeling. My 12 and 13-year-old sons enjoy the culture by eating street food, buying jade and other things they don't need."
