The snow in winter can be called "the snow without the snow". Once, we walked on the road of the virgin forest, and the snow in the distance "buried" the forest only with the trunk and the tip of the tree. I asked my Latvian friend how deep the roadside learning was. The driver stopped, we tried to walk into the forest, just a few steps, we braved forward, no exaggeration, and no idea what happened.

1993年，苏联散伙，各个加盟国纷纷倒戈，对于我们局外人看，来自苏联国歌中的唱词“伟大的俄罗斯各个自由的共和国”，我确实是这样认为的，认为苏联是坚不可摧的，没有想到苏联一夜之间就散伙了，各个小加盟国自己扯旗独立，我们就是这个时代来到了拉脱维亚的首都里加。这个民族，并非像乌克兰以及其他加盟过那样著名，到这个国家之前，我对其就是一无所知。1993年并没有网络，什么资料也很难找，对拉脱维亚的了解就仅仅停留在是临近波罗的海的国家。
