Overall pretty good. I wasn't expecting much but the room is nice and spacious, especially the bathroom. The secret garden is a pretty lovely place to hang out, and the staff was really friendly.

Nice hotel, would stay again. It was a good location for what we needed.

Have just returned from a 2 night. 3 rounds of golf trip at Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa. We were a party of 20 ladies and the whole experience was superb. The booking arrangements through Group Reservations were efficient, friendly and seemless (little things like requesting dinner menu choices in advance and then placing cards with each name and menu choice on our dining table each evening, just lovely). Booking in and out was again efficient and friendly. We all appreciated the quality of the rooms (comfy beds, nice bathrooms) The spa and the gym were well used by those with enough energy after each round of golf! The restaurant breakfast and dinner each day was excellent. All in all we coud not fault the hotel and would thank all the staff for looking after us so well. With regard to the golf course itself...it is not especially easy, particularly the back 9 and quite hilly but was in beautiful condition and thoroughly enjoyable. Again the staff at the clubhouse couldn't have been more helpful. We had such a great time that we plan to go back next year for our annual golf trip,

Lovely stay. Local location. Stayed with my youngest son. We had a lovely couple of nights exploring Newbury. Lovely clean room. Lovely breakfast, attentive staff and friendly environment. Good location for strolling into town and back and right next to a park for mini golf and play.

We have been to this hotel before, but this time we saw a sign saying that swimming will incur £5 pp charge. I was gutted that I was not advised, as the receptionist said this new policy took place 2 weeks ago. BUT, when we went to the pool, the clerk told us that if you booked from a different provider (trip.com etc) you have a complimentary pass to the pool. If only we knew the first day. But really happy overall.

Lovely hotel, very clean and been here several times as we use this hotel as a base for paultons parks. However we were put into room 19 and for the first time we were a little gutted about the walls in the room. They must have had a water leak as there was paint coming off the walls plus as we moved the single bed it was full of flaky paint bits over the floor. Also the pelmet above the curtains was damaged and there was a hole in it. We’ve been lucky in the past to get a tidy room but a little surprised that this issue hasn’t been noticed by the cleaners or maintenance. Wouldn’t put us off staying there next time but hopefully not in a room with the same issues.

excellent place and comfortable room The receptionist Sanjay was super friendly and helpful. very hygenic and ample space of parking was available Services nearby which was addon benefit we loved our 2 days stay and will surely come again soon next time ☺️
