The staff here was very friendly. Melissa from the front desk was so helpful to us the entire time, providing suggestions and calling shuttles for us. The room was spacious and provided us with a great view of the trees nearby. The AC was very powerful, which is good when you've been outside all day.

I had a wonderful time in Nicaragua. I was upgraded for some reason to a private room instead of my dorm style room. The hotel is very clean and I had comfortable pillows and bed. It was such a luxury (I am a backpacker) to have soft towels and sheets. The location is very close to grab things to eat, a convenient store, and ATM. The restaurant at the hotel was great too. I was able to hire a private car from there to see Ometepe, Granada, Leon, and San Juan de Sur, one place a day. I even stayed at their sister hotel in San Juan. Gerald was my private hire driver. He was great. So professional, respectful, good company and I felt very safe while driving and all of our places visited. Carlos and Allison run things and I was super happy they helped me have a great and memorable experience all over Nicaragua. 100% recommend

Hotel is beautiful, spacious, convenient, and clean. I arrived two hours before check-in due to other scheduling needs. Every other hotel, if I arrive early, the room is either ready and I can have it right away, OR the room is not ready and the hotel asks me to come back at check in time. I cheerfully go along with whatever the hotel needs. THIS hotel was different. My room was ready, two hours before check in. Hotel said I could have my room right away, for an additional $33 fee. What? I know it's prior to check in and I am not entitled to have the room early. But if the room IS cleaned and ready, EVERY OTHER hotel lets me have it. No other hotel tried to charge a fee when there is nothing else to be done to get the room ready. I was really disappointed at InterContinental's attempt to wring a few extra bucks from me. The hotel was within its rights, but NO OTHER HOTEL has ever tried to gouge me like this.
