Frederick the night porter was brilliant in helping me with a logistical problem getting to the ferry. Examples include calling eBay adverts to get a bike before 10am the next day! Offering to drive me to decathlon so I could buy a bike! Checking train and bus timetables and finally making sure I was awake at the right time to get the ferry! Thank you Frederick you were a total star

Nous avions réserver en ligne quand nous arrivons nous avons tjr la surprise de ne pas avoir la même chambre que sur les photos c’est très trompeurs de plus nous avons eu une chambre pour personne handicapée ce n’était pas commode au niveau de la salle d’eau tt au moins prévenir le client avant le paiement je suis déçue sachant que la chambre pour la nuitée est assez onéreuse et la réponse apportée par les personnes de accueil est de dire c’était la seule chambre qui restait dispo bah oui mais préciser le sur le site

This is a ”classic” hotel but you get a fully equipped kitchenette in the room which is great if you want to have breakfast in or cook something easy and fast. The location between the two train stations is spectacular. The huge Westfield shopping center is just behind the corner with an incredible Carrefour in there. It has been a great staying, the ladies at my check-in have been very very helpful as I had issues with my cards for the payment. I cannot say the same for a guy who worked there in the evening who was completely not interested in my humble request of a bottle opener which oddly enough was not provided in the kitchenette. I am sure if asked, the hotel is going to come up with some safety story or just some fake bla-bla just because they don't want to admit you cannot bring your bottle in the room but you should rather buy the wine from them. Another thing they could improve is the cleanliness of the toilet, bathroom and room floor. Don't get me wrong: they were not visibly dirty. But one could feel they had been ”wiped” carelessly, just to make you believe they are clean. And one could sense the room floor had not been washed with hot water and properly. Same thing for the bath tub. I could just visualize before my eyes the lazy cleaning staff not caring less about the precision of their work. But in a whole I absolutely give the property a thumb up and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the beauty and charm of Lille and northern France!

A very nice, quiet hotel with friendly staff. Bedrooms well away from road so no traffic noise; excellent beds and very quiet air conditioning. A wide selection of food for breakfast and coffee machine available all day. Good communal areas both inside and out including pool table, games, electric piano etc. A somewhat ambivalent attitude to smoking in the central courtyard (no smoking signs next to the ashtrays!). We stayed during the annual braderie when Lille turns into a giant second hand market for the weekend and cars are excluded. This doubled the cost of accommodation. The event was very well managed, a massive (may be ＞100,000 participants?) good natured street party for families, with an impressively efficient clear up operation on the Sunday, night moving mountains of rubbish and mussel shells overnight. The hotel is in walking distance of the main attractions, being on the edge of old Lille. The Palais des Beaux-Arts and Mussee de l'Hospice de Comtesse are unmissable and the park around the citadel a beautiful place to walk. Lots of great buildings and monuments to gaze at and many good bars and restaurants, all near to hotel.

We received 2 emails about our stay on the day of our stay. One was to tell us that check in after 7pm required special instructions. That email we received at 7:31pm and since we were driving at the time we didn't see it before arriving. My heartfelt thanks to the very nice lady who very patiently helped us. I wish I had known about the check in procedure 24 hrs earlier. Both emails should have been sent 24 hrs earlier. Also parking is not easy until you know how it works. There is parking on the street but good luck with that. For us the closest was 1/2 mile away. We planned to use their on site parking but it is not signed so there is no way of seeing it when you arrive, and there is nowhere to even stop outside the hotel. It made our check in rather fraught after a long day's drive. I would happily stay there again as the rooms are good as is the breakfast and it's an excellent location, but I'd recommend not using Odaly's website to make the booking if possible as it doesn't allow you to review your booking after it has been made.

Et c'est de bonne augure que d'avoir du silence quand on doit ouvrir la fenêtre pour faire aérer la chambre/studio avec kitchenette en raison de la chaleur et pas de clim. Intérieur moderne et original, spacieux et lumineux de cet hôtel, qui fait pousser des vrais arbres oliviers dans son hall d'accueil / salon de détente ! Couloirs colorés et devantures de portes de chambre de studios non conventionnelles qui donneront envie à certains d'être installés dans ces logements 😜. Pas de restau dans l'hôtel mais 2 très bons à 10 min de marche : Rosso&Bianco, et Les P'tites Côtes. Petit déjeuner très correct et crêpes faites maison. Prochain déplacement à VdA, je veux cet hôtel.

This hotel was a little off the beaten path, there wasn't really a bus line or metro stop close by. We felt like we walked so far to get to the ”sights”, even though we walked just as far in the other cities we visited on this vacation. That being said, there were lots of fun parks and areas to walk around in. The main square had lots going on. Our room was tucked away from the street, so we didn't have a lot of noise. There was no a/c, but the window had a rolling shutter that we closed during the day to keep out the heat. It was still very hot, especially to sleep. I guess I'm just that american that is used to the a/c! We made do, it wasn't a problem. The kitchen was well set up and had everything. The bathroom was large enough. The wifi worked well. There was a big wardrobe for clothes, the bed, a desk, and table with 2 chairs. We could have used a couple of tables by the bed though. The hotel front door used a key fob to open, so it seemed secure. All the staff was very friendly. The hotel was comfortable enough, but next time I will stay somewhere a little more central to where I want to be.

Les appartements en eux-mêmes sont plutôt agréable quoique un peu vieillissant tout de même. On le remarque surtout au niveau des sanitaires (joints de douche jaune orange). Quelques odeurs d'égouts remontent parfois par le lavabo. Au niveau des prix, la nuit n'est pas extrêmement chère, en revanche, 15€ un petit déjeuner aussi misérable c'est du vol! Du blanc de dinde carrefour, quelques oeufs à cuire au micro onde (si vous avez la chance d'en avoir), presque pas de choix, bref j'ai fait des hôtels de bien meilleur standing, avec des petits déjeuner d'une qualité nettement supérieure et pour moins cher... La salle de sport est un plus, ne vous attendez pas non à faire des grandes séances mais le nécessaire pour se maintenir en forme est présent. Pour un séjour de 5 nuits, avec 5 petits déjeuner, pas de ménage dans la chambre (ou l'appartement) de prévu pour la totalité de la semaine.... Pour avoir des serviettes de rechange, il faut payer... En bref, si vous cherchez un endroit ou dormir avec quelques commodités pour vous faire à manger c'est pas trop mal mais le tarif du petit déjeuner est juste clairement de l'arnaque ainsi que les services jugés ”en option” alors qu'ils devraient clairement être inclus de base. Si ça n'avait pas été pour un voyage professionnel (donc frais pris en charge par mon employeur) j'aurais clairement été très en colère. A noter tout de même que le personnel est accueillant, souriant et bien sympathique. L'hôtel est calme (exception faite de la route mais ça ce n'est pas de leur ressort).

The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station and a big shopping mall as well as many restaurants. Despite the occasional noise in the streets, it was very easy to ignore it by just closing the windows—isolation seemed to be on point. Another convenience was the parking space in a secured, covered building next to the hotel. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Only point for improvement would be to have (third) beds that are not on wheels, because it was not very difficult to move the bed despite the wheels' brakes. Our stay was nonetheless a very good experience.

We felt like we walked so far to get to the ”sights”, even though we walked just as far in the other cities we visited on this vacation. That being said, there were lots of fun parks and areas to walk around in. The main square had lots going on. Our room was tucked away from the street, so we didn't have a lot of noise. There was no a/c, but the window had a rolling shutter that we closed during the day to keep out the heat. It was still very hot, especially to sleep. I guess I'm just that american that is used to the a/c! We made do, it wasn't a problem. The kitchen was well set up and had everything. The bathroom was large enough. The wifi worked well. There was a big wardrobe for clothes, the bed, a desk, and table with 2 chairs. We could have used a couple of tables by the bed though. The hotel front door used a key fob to open, so it seemed secure. All the staff was very friendly. The hotel was comfortable enough, but next time I will stay somewhere a little more central to where I want to be.

Accueil parfait Bon emplacement Propre Endroit très calme et bien insonorisé

I prepared a review after our stay in room 127, 15/8/22, but due to its content, I waited for a response from the hotel itself. While being promised that action will be taken, I am not entirely convinced so will leave it up to you to decide whether or not you want to stay here... My children and I were covered in approx 50 bed bug bites each. All down our arms and legs and on my daughter's face. We did not realise until later in the afternoon, but the psychological trauma of the thought of bed bugs crawling all over us while we slept has been terrible. Disgusting and made us feel sick. Our bites were painful and will take weeks to heal. In the height of summer, we had to cover up our arms and not tell anyone we had bed bugs bites because of the embarrassment that would cause us. I washed everything and ourselves as soon as we got home, and spent sleepless nights with a magnifying glass looking for bugs. I bought mattress encasements for our beds and sprayed insecticide, hoovered everything in all creases and folds on the mattresses and beds. Like a woman paranoid of bed bugs being brought home from France. The response from the hotel when I informed them was basically 1. well no one else has complained, 2. but they will attend to it and 3. bed bugs can appear in clean hotels so it is not a sign if uncleanliness. You decide if you want to stay here. I think any bad reviews are removed. The reviews I did manage to find are quite old, 2018 and 2019, which also mentioned bed bugs. Should have read those before I booked as it has obviously been a problem for the hotel for a while. Shame as the rooms were well laid out and it was quiet. But there is no care and attention to cleanliness apart from a quick change of sheets and towels. The sofa bed was broken too. We certainly will not be staying there again.
