Our stay in this hotel was amazing. Starting from the check-in until checkout, everything was smooth, fast and clear. The room was more like a serviced-apartment with everyday cleaning service, laundry, shoe cleaning. The room has a small kitchen area with a kettle, a sink, dishware for 2 people, a microwave and a small refrigerator. We stayed in studio deluxe room was 3 nights and it was extremely clean (which really deserved 4/5 rating shown on Trip.com and that was our main criteria for choosing this hotel). We had esims so we haven’t tried their wifi nor have we checked if they had an internet 😊. Visitors to Hong Kong need to pay attention to socket types (you can see them from the pictures). Restroom was clean, seemed well maintained, and the shower has shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, each 300ml, installed to the wall. The bed mattress was sturdy and bed sheets were so clean (loved it!!!). I loved staying in Modena by Fraser Hong Kong, so I’ll definitely stay here again!

The hotel made a reasonably good first impression, but there are still some details that could use improvement. The room decor was modern and stylish, which was a positive aspect of the stay. The room was also well-maintained and clean. However, the poor soundproofing was a major issue - normal conversation in the adjacent room could be clearly heard, which was quite disruptive and detracted significantly from the overall experience. As a frequent traveler who has stayed in over 30 different hotels, this was the worst soundproofing the reviewer has encountered. The in-room entertainment options were limited, with only standard television channels available and no access to popular streaming services like Netflix or YouTube. Many travelers now expect more comprehensive entertainment choices, so this was a disappointment. The attitude and service provided by the front desk staff was not as friendly or helpful as one would hope for in a hotel stay. This detracted from the overall impression and level of hospitality. Additionally, upon check-in, the staff failed to properly inspect the room, as one of the light bulbs was found to be burnt out. This small but noticeable detail suggests room for improvement in the hotel's quality control processes. In summary, improvements are needed in these key areas for the hotel to provide a more consistently pleasant stay for its visitors :)

Nice and cosy hotel away from the Main Street. But the entrance to the hotel is a bit weird up the mini mountain stairs and car is difficult to enter only one way direction. Service was mediocre but free coffee and snacks during the day. Room is loft size and design.

The hotel is quite central in location. There’s Starbucks next to it. However there are a lot of stairs and is not accessible to individuals who could use ramps, like travellers with large suitcases or disabled. There’s steps leading to the check-in lounge, steps to go up to the lifts and from the lifts on each floor to the rooms. The room is clean and of a good size. However, mine is right next to the main road and is very noisy. At night, there’s a low ringing noise that came in every 10s - I couldn’t get a good night sleep at all. The housekeeping is ok - but they missed some items after they cleaned up the room - they did not replenish the slippers, the toothbrushes, and the bath essentials. One of the towels had a lipstick mark on it. I had to go to the front desk to get them, but the front desk is very helpful. On the last day when I wanted to check out, the front desk personnel is missing and I had to wait about 15min for the person to return.

This is a very small hotel in terms of its footprint, so although it has over 20 floors, there are only two rooms per floor. This is not unusual in HK, where space is at such a premium. But the hotel is great value for its excellent location, just a 10-minute walk to the heart of HK's Central district, and with subway stations within a 5-minute walk. The rooms were surprisingly not as small as I had expected, and I had a suite with a separate living room. The bathroom is spacious, with a full bathtub and shower area behind glass doors. The room also had a kitchenette with microwave, mid-sized fridge, kitchen sink, Nespresso machine, tea bags, kettle, plates, etc. The hotel also has a gym, but no restaurant. But dozens of restaurants are on that same block, so it's not an issue. One caveat: The lobby is reached only by a short flight of stairs, so be ready to carry your luggage up. They have a small hydraulic elevator but that is only for wheelchairs.

Very near to the MTR station, quite easy to locate the place. Just need to contact the number on the door to get the password for to enter the place. Place is very clean, bed is comfortable.

I had a pleasant time at the Shama Central. It was a really lovely hotel/ service apartment. The room was quite spacious, with a big dining room and living room too. Everything looked fairly nice. And the hotel was located at a convenient area, with many good restaurants nearby! The whole apartment was kinda dreamy, view was ok. However, the one problem was the front desk staff. When we were checking out, the female frontdesk staff member was really rude. Her attitude was very poor and I felt rather surprised by her attitude. It was such a shame because the rest of the stay was satisfactory, but it ended on such a negative note because of her!

We stayed for two different weeks before Chinese New Year for work and visiting family. We absolutely loved its combination of fantastic location (quiet yet very close to the tram, subway,buses,ferry etc.) , spaciousness and amenities, and in the future when visiting HK with children, this will be the first hotel we will consider. Absolutely impressed. Special highlights: - Service is very basic - basically a single person at the front desk handling checkin/checkout, the cleaning staff, and a guard that mans the south building lobby until about 9-10pm. But all were courteous, efficient and helpful. No complaints at all. We are especially grateful to the front desk and her manager for letting us have a super late checkout (we had an evening flight and would have had nowhere to go had we checked out at the normal time). And the night guard helpfully scrounged around to find a spare plug adapter to lend us. - Location: Steps from the tram station, and 3-4 minutes walk to Sheung Wan MTR. No nightlife in the area, not that we needed it - It was actually nice that our hotel (south building at least) was in a very quiet dead end. - Amenities: we stayed in the family suite, which consists of two bedrooms and a living room and kitchen+dining table. I love the layout, and storage space abounds, with large deep closets that allowed us to hide away our 32” suitcases easily. We used the laundry machine and the drying rack in the balcony regularly, the fridge is huge, and there are enough utensils and porcelain ware for four people. (you will need to bring your own detergent and dish soap). There's an electric stove but we never used it. A few nights we ordered takeout and managed to seat eight comfortably. For room 3001, water pressure was good and temperature hot (although with two people showering simultaneously the temperature did cool time at times). - Nitpicks & maintenance issues: 1) The sliding door in one bedroom is doesn't seal very tightly (the door isn't aligned well), so city/wind noise is constant (though not unbearable). One on particularly windy night, the wind blowing through the gap was enough to generate a loud honking/flapping sound that was loud enough to wake my kids. I found a way to wedge it closed and the problem went away. 2) The oven/microwave needs to be deep cleaned. The inside seems to be covered with the black charred remains of someone else's old food. We turned it on once and the whole apartment quickly filled with acrid smoke. 3) I wish the bedrooms and bathrooms had built-in night lights for safety. - Tips: - When ordering a taxi via phone, be careful with your pickup location. We always waited at the north building on Connaught Road, but two times the taxi drove to the dead end alley between the North and South buildings. - bring your own dish detergent and laundry detergent. - bring your own night lights - The dryer looks like it has a ”dryer only” mode, but we couldn't figure out how to use it.
