2022 is finally here and things are finally starting to look better for travel, whether it be domestically or internationally. Most of us have been travelling less the last few years which is why it's so important to make 2022 the year to get back into it.
What's better than a three day weekend? A four day weekend. And what if we told you that you could be taking at least 10 of them this year and still have annual leave left over?
To help you make the most of your 2022 public holidays, we’ve put together a handy quick-reference long weekend guide for where you should be taking annual leave to maximise the time you have off and take more of those ultra-long weekends.
January Public Holidays 2022
Public Holiday: New Year's Day Holiday (Mon, 3 January)
Long weekend: Saturday, 1 January – Tuesday, 4 January
Tip: Take 1 day annual leave on Tuesday 4th January to get four days off work
Public Holiday: Australia Day (Wednesday, 26 January)
Long weekend: Wednesday, 26 January – Sunday, 30 January
Tip: Take 2 days annual leave on Thursday 27th January and Friday 28th January to get five days off work
March Public Holidays 2022
Public Holiday: Labour Day* (Monday, 7 March)
Long weekend: Saturday, 5 March – Tuesday, 8 March
Tip: Take 1 day annual leave on 8th March to get four days off work

Long weekend: Friday, 11 March – Tuesday, 15 March
