It was a comfortable experience. The location was very close to the Airport thus making it easy together to your flight in a timely manner. While there was repetition in the menú, the taste was very good. The staff was very curteous and pleasant despite the language barrier.

Escolhemos o hotel por acreditar ser um dos melhores em Caxias. Para começar o quarto é pequeno(para um casal não tem nem onde colocar a segunda mala). Tentamos mudar, mas disseram que como compramos pela Latan seria quase impossível e que não poderiam simplesmente cobrar a diferença de tarifa. Em um segundo momento nos disseram que não havia apartamentos maiores. Então ok, ficamos apertados mesmo. Mas não parou ai, o hotel loca o restaurante para eventos. Então os hospedes que se lasquem, na sexta 26 e no sábado 27 havia festa de formatura no restaurante, portanto, não havia restaurante a disposição dos hospedes para almoço ou jantar. Isso sem falar que o pessoal que veio para os eventos se hospedou no hotel e virou uma verdadeira muvuca. O café da manhã tinha fila gigante para pegar um simples café. Esperar as mesas ficarem livres foi outra aventura. E a quantidade de crianças correndo pelos corredores? Saguão lotado... E o pior, evidentemente o hotel não está preparado para atender a tanta gente em um espaço tão pequeno. Enfim, deveriam se dedicar só a eventos e não aos hospedes convencionais pois retiraram de nós o prazer de viver uma boa experiência durante nossa viagem a Caxias. Passamos 4 dias, todos tumultuados. Para mim que estava aqui para comemorar meu aniversário foi frustrante.

We have two main Accor properties next to the Salgado Filho Airport, one Ibis and this Novotel. I am a frequent guest in both franchises, but for this time I chose Novotel to have a more refined experience. For my surprise, I had the feeling that I went to the wrong place and stayed at Ibis. This is not bad at all, since Ibis is a very honest chain, but I was a little disappointed. To start I used the paid self-parking, no vallet parking, which is good in pandemic times, but unusual in Novotel properties. Second, the design of the rooms (mine was a standard one) was quite the same of an Ibis one with slightly better furniture and materials inside. The restaurant at ground floor also seemed like one from Ibis in an open space. Breakfast was as expected. In summary, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this property, staff is friendly and room service works fine. Maybe my expectations were too high. Daily fare is around USD20 more than the Ibis located half mile from this Novotel, which seems fair.
