The hotel's location is super convenient. After getting off at Hakodate Station, you can take buses 95, 95A, or 96 right outside the station (get off at Yunokawa Onsen Station), and the hotel is directly across the street. Conversely, you can catch a bus from the hotel entrance directly to JR Hakodate Station. This is incredibly handy, especially given how expensive taxis are in Japan. The hotel rooms are very spacious. While the facilities are a bit dated, the big plus is that the room comes with a private, continuously flowing hot spring bath – it's not one of those you have to turn on and off with a tap. It's semi-open-air, looking out onto the ocean, so there's no need to worry about privacy. Soaking in the onsen while enjoying the sea view, perhaps with an ice cream [chuckle] – it really doesn't get much more relaxing! Since we booked a Japanese-style room, staff came to make our beds after check-in. The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary bottled water, bottled tea, and beer. Unfortunately, my family and I don't drink, so we didn't make use of that service [facepalm]. Right next to the hotel is the 'Ichimonji' ramen shop, and the Tropical Botanical Garden, where you can watch monkeys soaking in the hot springs, is just a 300-500 meter walk away. Guests staying at Hanatsuki can also request a window seat at breakfast to enjoy the sea view while they eat.

The room was quite spacious. There were coffee beans in the drawer, so we could enjoy coffee and admire the snowy view from our room during the heavy snow. The front desk staff on the first floor were very polite and answered all our questions. Given the cold weather, the free-flow coffee, made with famous Hokkaido coffee beans, was a nice touch. Dinner was at the second-floor restaurant, featuring simple appetizers, a beef hot pot, and all-you-can-eat sushi. I'm not sure if it was because of New Year's Eve, but the service was incredibly slow; several Japanese groups who arrived after us had already finished their meals, and we had only been served three dishes. On the ninth floor, there are three private baths, which were very comfortable for my family to relax and chat in. There's ice cream available for self-service on the tenth floor. After 9:30 PM, the hotel offers warm and comforting ramen, which was a thoughtful touch. There's a convenience store right across from the hotel, and the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses are about a five-minute walk straight ahead. Next door, there's a yakiniku restaurant. I initially thought we wouldn't find any hot food open on New Year's Day, but surprisingly, it was open and there was no queue. For that alone, I'd give it a big thumbs up!

We had a very pleasant stay at Premier Hotel Cabin President Hakodate. The location is excellent and extremely convenient. Hakodate Morning Market is just nearby, making it very easy to enjoy fresh seafood in the morning. There is also a nice shio ramen restaurant just next to the hotel. The location made getting around Hakodate very easy. The room was comfortable and overall we enjoyed our stay. Great choice for anyone visiting Hakodate, especially for the convenient location. Would stay here again!

The view is absolutely unbeatable! I stayed in the annex last time, and while the main building is a bit dated, the incredible scenery makes up for everything. The room size was just right, and the cleanliness was acceptable. Breakfast was definitely plentiful and delicious, better than the annex in my opinion, but in other aspects, the annex was superior. The front desk staff were quite good, but the other staff were just so-so, treating both Japanese and foreigners with the same rather indifferent attitude. Also, there's no private onsen (hot spring bath). Checkout was super easy and self-service.

The hotel is just next to the station. We arrived by train on a windy and rainy day and were thankful that it’s just a short walk to the hotel. The room is spacious and the onsen is nice. The carpet is stained but we understand it’s common for hotel after some years. The hotel staff were helpful when we enquire about directions and asked to borrow umbrellas too. Though it rained on both days that we were in Hakodate, we still enjoyed ourselves using the city tram, which station is about 3mins walk across the Jr station. The market is also just less about 3mins walk away. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with the hotel and will stay here again if ever return and will recommend to friends.

The room was huge. Outdoor onsen was super comfortable. Buffet spread was awesome. It was so delicious that you keep going for more servings. Food were freshly made and often replenish. The hotel service staff were also polite and welcoming. There were welcoming drinks and kombu soup at lobby. Our hotel is right in front of bus stop from airport so its super convenient and you don’t need to drag your luggage too far. The botanical garden is across the street. You can see monkeys in the park too.

I rarely write reviews, honestly 📝 But for this hotel, not writing one just wouldn't do it justice 🔥 I loved every minute of my stay in Hakodate 💙 This little city itself is so beautiful and peaceful ～ The hotel seems like it might have been an old building before 🏛️? But it's been renovated with such great taste, really stylish! The room was very quiet, slept so comfortably 🛏️ And the location is super convenient! 📍 Very close to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses 📍 Not far from the nearest station 📍 And there's a supermarket nearby too!! And! The room was really, really clean 🧹 I've stayed in many hotels in Japan, most are quite clean But I can always tell where they cut corners, if the corners are dusty, I notice it immediately 👀 This place was genuinely clean, the sheets even had a fresh scent You can tell the staff takes cleaning very seriously 🧼 Service was also amazing ～ The guy who helped me check in was so welcoming and friendly 🥹 It's a shame I could only stay one day 😭 Next time I definitely have to stay longer!! #Hakodate #HotelReview #Travel

Its location is excellent, with easy access to the Hakodate Morning Market and the Red Brick Warehouses, making it very convenient for sightseeing. The hotel also provides onsen facilities, which are a great addition—though I didn’t get the opportunity to try them during my stay. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

The hotel's location is quite good, close to both Hakodate Station and the airport. You can walk to the station, and a taxi to the airport isn't overly expensive. However, I'm not sure why all the hotels were fully booked in early May. I stayed for two days but had to book different room types. The front desk surprisingly said they couldn't arrange for me to stay in the same room. This meant checking out at 11 AM the day before, leaving my luggage at the front desk, going out for four hours, and then returning to the hotel at 3 PM to check in again, which was quite inconvenient. The facilities are a bit old, and there was a damp smell in the hallway. However, the toiletries were all Pola, which was a pleasant surprise. But the hotel didn't offer complimentary bottled water, so I had to buy it from a convenience store or vending machine outside.

This is definitely my favorite hotel in Hakodate! The hotel is stylish, modern, and feels brand new. We stayed in the tatami room, which was incredibly comfortable for our family of five. The room was spacious and even had a dining area, making it perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious Japanese and Western dishes to choose from. The onsen was another highlight of our stay—clean, relaxing, and definitely a must-try! Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. If we're lucky enough to visit Hakodate again, we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for families!

I accidentally booked smoking room wrongly , but the staff was nice enough to change the room to non smoking room . Room is nice and big , lobby is big . Walking distance to Goryokaku park , but got to walk about 10mins , maybe a bit challenging for small children.

- microwave and washing machine in the room(recommended to buy Hakodate milk and heat it up using microwave, make your own milktea using free tea bag from hotel) - great location, right beside hakodate morning market - there is a Hot spring bath with sea view - free coffee and a comfortable lounge with sea view - unpleasant check-in experience, one of the staff is impatient - No bottled water provided in the room. Check-in experience was a bit unpleasant when we arrived earlier (we knew we were early and weren’t requesting for early check-in). One of the male staff was quite unfriendly and kept repeating “no early check-in” when we were just asking whether we could store our luggage before check-in. He seemed quite impatient throughout. However, the rest of the staff were good, and even lent us a knife and cutting board to cut the melon we bought. Location is great, right beside the morning market, and only about a 7-minute walk to the JR station. We came during spring so the walk was totally fine.

The room was decent, clean, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. It was the best breakfast I had among all the hotels I stayed at during my 16-day self-guided trip in Japan. There was a young man at the front desk who spoke Chinese, and his service was excellent; he explained all the details clearly. Breakfast was served in two separate restaurants, one Japanese and one Western, and both were great. We chose the Japanese breakfast, but I peeked into the Western one afterward, and it looked just as abundant.
