"The hotel looks a little far at first (about 10–15 min walk from the station), but with the cool windy weather, it felt like an easy walk. Maybe in mid-summer or snow winter it could be tougher, but during our stay it was very comfortable short walk for us. The room was spacious and spotless. The sofa was already prepared with bed sheets and pillows, making it easy for a 3rd or even 4th guest to sleep (just make sure to put the correct number of guests, including children, when booking). The onsen was excellent – clean, large, and with real spring water. There’s also a washing machine (bring your own detergent), and a kitchenette in the room, though you need to borrow cooking utensils from the front desk, guest need to clean them after use. (No condiments are provided) Breakfast was very good, but the only downside is the 40-minute time limit. Most of the staff were polite and friendly, though one female staff at reception and a male staff at the breakfast area seemed less welcoming. Overall, I’d recommend this place to families who want a spacious room with a small kitchen and a proper onsen. Definitely choose the breakfast plan if you book."

"The hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location, right next to the train station and just a short walk around the corner. It's also very close to Fisherman's Wharf, perfect for enjoying fresh sashimi, seafood, and other local specialties. All major attractions are easily accessible on foot. The hotel service was excellent, and the room was immaculately clean. I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay."

"Great location as the hotel is across JR Hakodate Station Square and just beside Hakodate Morning Market.  It is not the newest hotel but it’s straightforward and convenient.  Getting around Hakodate is easy since the hotel is in a central location. They also offer complimentary beverages to hotel guests from 1300H to 1900H daily.  My only concern with this hotel is their air condition which does not cool sufficiently. Despite setting the controls to max, our evenings were quite warm. Kindly look into this issue which I have read from other reviews.  The hotel also has a certain odour buy it was not an issue."

"Although the room was a bit small, it was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and efficiently designed. Everything was thoughtfully laid out and easy to use, and it even came with a washing machine and a microwave. After admiring the night view from Mount Hakodate in the evening, by 9 PM the streets were deserted and all the shops were closed for the night. So, we simply bought some delicious food from a convenience store, warmed it up back at the hotel, and enjoyed a truly comfortable and satisfying meal. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from the JR station. Popular attractions like Hachiman-zaka Slope, the Red Brick Warehouses, and the Mount Hakodate Ropeway are all within easy walking distance, which was incredibly convenient."

"Hands down the best hotel I've stayed in Hakodate! The location is unbeatable, right outside JR Hakodate Station. Plus, the Mashumaru ferry museum is just around the corner and definitely worth a visit. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was absolutely superb."

"The room size is just nice for 3 pax, but if open all luggages, will have minimal walking space to toilet. Location is near to train station and market. There is parking available beside the hotel though need to pay 700 yen per day. The room that we got however comes with some issues: 1) there is no heater within the room and the air conditioner can't be set to a temperature that is suitable for us. It only has low, medium, high settings for air conditioner and it is cold air. 2) the toilet drainage has issue too, after showering, the water flooded the whole floor outside the bath tub. The good thing is after reporting the flooding issue, the receptionist send a service man to repair the chokage immediately. The next day the reception also pass us a portable heater to keep ourselves warm."

It's perfectly situated for a quick stopover, making it easy to access local sights and transportation. I found it to be a great base for exploring the area without any hassle. The room size was surprisingly good. It felt spacious and wasn't cramped at all, giving me plenty of room to relax and organize my things. Finally, the breakfast was a standout feature. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in a while, with a fantastic variety of delicious options that really hit the spot. Overall, Hotel Enoe Hakodate offers a clean, well-located, and comfortable experience with a fantastic breakfast to boot. It's a solid choice for anyone traveling through the area."

"I've stayed in many hotels, and this one definitely ranks among the best in terms of service. I arrived quite late, but the front desk staff still greeted me warmly and helped with my luggage. The room was cozy, and they even provided welcome fruit and snacks—a truly thoughtful touch. The next day, I was in a rush and didn't have time for breakfast, but the hotel unexpectedly prepared a packed breakfast for me to enjoy on the road. This level of thoughtful service truly touched me and I absolutely must give it a thumbs-up!"

"My only regret is not booking the room for more days! ❤️ Pros: very close to the tram station; the room with the open air bath is spacious, clean, and sooo lovely; the public bath was clean; the staff were very nice, shoutout to Julie for explaining everything to us; the breakfast was good; i loved the little things: the charming yukatas, the snacks, the loose leaf tea, a lot of thought was put into it Cons: idk. only because im nitpicking but the hotel’s a bit old which adds to the whole vibe of the room we stayed in. 100/10… definitely coming back and seeing all the Hakodate spots we missed because of our short stay and staying here again"

"The hotel is near the tram Yunokawa, about 600 meters away. The hotel is a very classic Japanese inn with a very good environment. The front desk staff is also very enthusiastic. After checking in, there will be staff to lay the tatami. The hotel has both indoor and outdoor hot springs. The outdoor hot spring environment is good, but the water temperature is a bit hot. Overall, it is still recommended."
