There are showers, but no dedicated lifeguard. Service: All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. They'll even bring your takeout orders to your room. Breakfast: Quite extensive.

This hotel is perfectly situated at the entrance to Qiyi Street, south gate of Dayan Ancient Town. It's ideally located at the historical Tea Horse Road gateway into the city, yet far enough from the hustle and bustle of Sifang Street. My biggest impression is 'small yet beautiful'. Being small, it's a courtyard-style building nestled within the ancient town, avoiding the impersonal feel of larger hotels and allowing for more focus on the guest experience. Because it's integrated into the fabric of the old town, stepping out means encountering flagstone streets and Naxi life, while stepping in offers the privacy of a quiet courtyard. It's not some cold, mass-produced product; its unique character is something I really appreciate. Indigo and the InterContinental across the street belong to the same group, so all facilities and resources are shared. You can freely access the InterContinental. If you get tired of Indigo's set breakfast, you can go to the InterContinental for their buffet, or even visit their lobby to see the 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' view. I've stayed in both the deluxe boutique room with a courtyard and the suite at Indigo, and I loved them both. The decor beautifully reflects Naxi and Tea Horse cultures, making them truly worth experiencing. Last but not least, I must commend Manager Pu. He was incredibly responsive to every request, from helping with luggage to coordinating details, making us feel truly at home. You couldn't ask for more. I look forward to returning 'home' again someday.

When the weather turned cold and rainy, they brought us ginger tea, which was a really warm gesture. The hotel breakfast was delicious, and the grounds were perfect for photos. The location is super convenient; the hotel's back exit leads right into the old town. It was very quiet at night, allowing for a truly relaxing and healing stay. The five-star quality is well-deserved. The environment is clean and elegant, and the service is meticulous and attentive. Special thanks to Mena and Aller who contacted us even before check-in and were very quick to respond to any requests. There was no perfunctory, cookie-cutter service at all; they truly made us feel at home. Our vacation stay was perfect – a definite 10/10, highly recommended!

Although the room facilities are quite old, you can still see the high standards and quality of the original setup! However, for a five-star hotel, providing purified water instead of mineral water for guests felt a bit like cutting corners. Sitting in the small courtyard, enjoying tea and conversation, was truly delightful. The landscaping design, arrangement, and maintenance throughout the villa area are all beautiful, especially the view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the restaurant plaza – it's absolutely breathtaking! The hotel's breakfast selection is extensive, and the quality is excellent, with a beautiful and comfortable dining environment. As a resort hotel, it achieves a high standard and a perfect balance across all aspects, including location, environmental quality, and service level.

I had a very pleasant stay at Courtyard Resort Lijiang. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. What made the stay especially memorable was the outstanding service from the staff, particularly Luna and Gong Lin. They were always cheerful, welcoming, and eager to help. They kindly lent me a charger when I needed one and also helped arrange a local tour guide by providing a reliable contact. Their warm hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile made a significant difference to my experience. The only area that could be improved is the enforcement of the no-smoking policy. Although the hotel is generally excellent, cigarette smoking in the lobby was noticeable many times, which affected the otherwise pleasant environment. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend this hotel, especially because of the exceptional service provided by Luna and Gong Lin. Breakfast spread should accommodate vegans and vegetarian friendly.

The overall experience was excellent. The environment was quiet and peaceful; we couldn't hear any street noise or sounds from neighboring rooms, so everyone slept soundly and comfortably. The breakfast offered a rich variety of dishes, and the dining area was impeccably clean. The restaurant staff were also very friendly. Daily housekeeping was thorough and meticulous. Whenever we needed items delivered, the staff promptly assisted us. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and comfortable.

Service: Our two families were traveling together, and with a larger group, we had only booked two twin rooms. Since our family had more people, the front desk attendant proactively offered to upgrade us to a family room for free, which was much more spacious. They also provided complimentary breakfast for the children. The room environment was excellent, and they even prepared kids' slippers and toothbrushes for all three children. Any issues we had were immediately resolved, and their attitude was wonderful. We had a very comfortable stay. The fried rice at breakfast was especially delicious, and the multigrain soy milk was very rich and creamy. Facilities: There are also computers available for self-use in the lobby on the first floor, and they are very well-equipped.

We arrived pretty late, around 1 AM, and the owner was so kind – he personally met us at the parking lot, helped us with our bags, and showed us to our room. The place was spotless, and the atmosphere was lovely. The guesthouse was beautifully adorned with plants and flowers everywhere, and there was even a charming swing, perfect for taking pictures. The next day, even though we woke up late, around noon, they still had delicious rice noodles available for us, which were absolutely amazing! We ended up staying for two days. We had originally planned to stay longer, but the weather turned bad and it rained non-stop, so we decided to head back home. A great bonus: if you want to try the local flower cakes, the owner can help you contact his friend to have them delivered – and they're really good! All in all, we were very happy with our stay.

Due to the photo upload limit on Ctrip, I could only select 20 pictures, but there are so many more beautiful and expressive photos that I wanted to share. First and foremost, booking this hotel was absolutely the right decision. I initially considered that we shouldn't be too tired on the day of arrival, especially since I was traveling with my nearly 70-year-old father and we needed to prepare for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain the next day. So, I didn't plan any other attractions for that day, but I put all my expectations into this hotel because of the many activities it offered. And the on-site experience truly lived up to my expectations: The tie-dye experience made up for our missed opportunity to experience local customs elsewhere in Yunnan. The light hike with Comrade Xiao Shen, my father, and me was absolutely fantastic! We walked on a mountain with no other tourists, quiet and serene, admiring our 'private' view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from afar. We also passed by many wedding setups, a unique sight that I believe most people don't get to experience. The highlight at the end was the stunning Tea Horse Ancient Road Grand Canyon. In the evening, we gathered around the stove for tea. Xiao Shen prepared a rich selection of snacks, and we chatted, enjoying the cozy atmosphere. The stargazing activity at night was also something not offered by other hotels. On February 7th, my trust was not misplaced. Thank you all. Then there's the hotel's location, nestled within the Dongba Grand Canyon scenic area, peaceful and profound. The manor-style design itself is incredibly luxurious. It's also very close to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, about 12 kilometers away, making for an easy drive in the morning. The room's amenities are on par with any five-star hotel. Next, the restaurant. Oh my goodness, it's a crime if this hotel's restaurant isn't popular! The food is delicious, portions are generous, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I was almost moved to tears. It would be a real shame to stay at this hotel and not have dinner here. I ordered the double-person stir-fry set B. Finally, all the staff. Saying they were enthusiastic feels like an understatement. I saw a genuine sense of pride in their work, especially in Xiao Shen. When there's a resonance between the service provider and the recipient, when customers genuinely feel the sincerity and warmth of the staff, it fosters respect, elevating every aspect of the experience. If you're coming to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it's a pity not to stay at this hotel.

This was my husband's and my first trip to Lijiang, and we really wanted to stay in a guesthouse within the ancient town to fully experience its charm. However, we were a bit worried about it being too noisy at night. After comparing several options, we chose B&B House in Shuhe Ancient Town, and it turned out to be a really lucky choice; we stayed in a super satisfying guesthouse hotel. The hotel's location is excellent, right near the North Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town. It's quiet yet conveniently located, and also very close to Jiuding Longtan. The room isn't huge, but the facilities are complete and well-functioning: hot water, ventilation system, hairdryer, and dehumidifier all worked perfectly, making for a very comfortable stay. The guesthouse courtyard is filled with beautiful flowers and plants everywhere, and the hotel's dining and public areas are also very pretty – I loved them. The highland yak hotpot had incredibly tender and flavorful meat that even the elderly and children could easily enjoy. Paired with the self-service vegetable platter, it was a perfectly balanced meal. Meng Ruilin (Aider) was so patient in introducing and teaching us how to mix the local specialty dipping sauces. Zhu Yuzhen (Serena), Guo Yanlan (Lanny), and He Xuemei (Angel) all provided warm and attentive service. And the WeChat customer service, Max and Ava, were always responsive to our requests. Overall, a perfect stay experience!

There is a balcony upstairs where you can see the snow-capped mountains. We also watched the sunrise. The boss was very enthusiastic and we went there during the Chinese New Year. On New Year's Eve, we organized a New Year's Eve dinner and dumplings for the hotel guests. It was very lively with more than 30 people. The disadvantage is that the wooden house makes a lot of noise if there are children running upstairs.

The courtyard is tranquil and peaceful, a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the old town. It was incredibly relaxing to sit on the terrace, brew a pot of Pu'er tea, and just unwind. The owner was warm and attentive, patiently explaining sightseeing routes and recommending authentic local food – so thoughtful and thorough. It's also a short walk to Sifang Street and the Big Water Wheel, offering a peaceful location yet close to everything. If many hotels use ”design language” to construct a lie about privacy, then Tangting's first impression was one of solidified confidence built on a sense of ”appropriateness.” Before arrival, General Manager Amy's inquiry was polite and restrained, without being overly enthusiastic or intrusive; on the day of check-in, the founder, Brother Qingshan, personally drove to pick me up, his composure not showing obsequiousness, but rather like an old friend meeting. The journey wasn't far, we chatted a lot, and I was surprised to find out he was the first Ctrip customer, which felt like fate. The moment I opened the door, I understood what ”composure” truly meant. In the center of the lobby, the ancient tea tree was not just for show; under the dappled sunlight of the courtyard, it created an almost Zen-like order. At the warm invitation of Qingshan and Amy, we sampled the flavor of this century-old tea tree. It wasn't superficial; it was a testament to the sedimentation of time. Upon entering the room, a breathtaking panorama of snow-capped mountains unfolded before our eyes. The surrounding birdsong and insect chirps confirmed the saying: true seclusion isn't about hiding in the mountains, but about standing by the window and the world automatically turning down its volume for you. Some hotels sell bricks and antique furnishings, but Tangting sells a ”privilege” that allows for complete relaxation. This surprise reached its peak after nightfall. Last night, I enjoyed drinks with Qingshan and Xiaoboyu, and in the midst of our lively conversation, a sudden realization dawned on me. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking. The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away. The environment here is absolutely beautiful. On our second morning, we even saw Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the hotel square. The public hot spring inside the hotel kept the kids entertained all afternoon. You can swim there, the water temperature is perfect, and the whirlpools in the hot spring play area were a lot of fun. They offer three types of drinks for free and unlimited refills, and the freshly squeezed juices are also very affordable. The public hot spring has separate pools for men and women, as well as mixed pools. The shower rooms are very clean. Our room was courtyard-style, with a private hot spring bath in the small courtyard. The hot spring water here is excellent; as soon as you get in, your skin immediately feels smooth, comparable to Beppu Onsen in Japan. However, the environment here far surpasses hotels in Beppu. Breakfast was also very good, and the hotel's dining prices aren't high. We primarily ate vegetarian dishes, and the prices were around 28-38 yuan per item, which is very reasonable and the food was clean. The hotel is very close to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Shuhe Ancient Town, Baisha Ancient Town, and the Romance Park scenic area, making it a fantastic experience for children. We're already planning to stay here again for Chinese New Year!

On a clear day, you can even catch the golden sunlight on the mountains, with sun rays sparkling on the rooftops and vibrant flowers and plants all around. The doors on both the first and second floors are so old and worn out that they no longer close properly; you can only勉强 align them and use the chain lock. The shower water temperature fluctuates wildly, going from scalding hot to ice cold in an instant. The overall decor is dated, and the equipment is showing its age. The carpets, tables, and other furniture are all worn. **The Good:** The excellent housekeeping auntie. She seemed to be a local ethnic minority, and she brought a small gift every day. She was honest and simple, and kept the room very clean. A definite thumbs up for her. **The Good:** The outstanding hotel concierge, Elin Zhou. She was incredibly responsive and fulfilled every request promptly. The original pillows in the room were too soft to sleep on, and the concierge quickly sent someone to bring firmer pillows that same evening. She also arranged a complimentary airport transfer when we checked out. She messaged us daily during our stay to check in. Such an excellent employee – the hotel should definitely reward her. **The Good:** Although the selection at the Chinese restaurant wasn't vast, the food quality was excellent. The stir-fried Naxi ******* pork was outstanding; I literally ate two plates of it. **Overall:** The hotel offers great privacy, and the gardens are lovely. The exterior maintenance is commendable. However, it's a case of 'all that glitters is not gold' – the interior of the rooms desperately needs renovation and refurbishment. The internal facilities simply can't compare to other five-star hotels in Lijiang anymore. That unforgettable musty smell when you enter the room... ugh.

Since there's no air conditioning, you have to open the window for ventilation, which just made the noise even worse. My room was near the shower area, and people were showering late into the night. The guesthouse is located just a few hundred meters, about a five-minute walk, from the North Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town. Since vehicles aren't allowed inside the ancient town and guests struggle with luggage on the cobblestone paths, staying just outside is much more convenient. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and helpful; they proactively offered to assist with our luggage and even upgraded us to a room with a bathtub, which was double the size of our previous room. The decor features typical Naxi-style earth building architecture, yet it feels spacious and grand. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decoration, including ethnic-themed paintings. Every day, the owner greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. The courtyard is beautifully maintained with azaleas, cherry trees, a swimming pool, a swing, and a pristine lawn, all tidied daily. The guesthouse offers a lovely breakfast; each guest gets a freshly made bowl of rice noodles and milk prepared by an auntie. The owner mentioned the minced meat was stir-fried by them, and it was delicious. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. After eating, it's very pleasant to relax in the lobby for a bit. You can play Go or Chinese chess, and there's a piano and guitar. My boyfriend even played a little, creating a very cozy atmosphere. Sometimes you'd hear other guests playing their favorite tunes. It’s a very comfortable stay with a great living vibe, perfect for a short trip with family or friends. We had a wonderfully comfortable two-day stay. When it was time to leave for our next destination, the owner and staff kindly saw us off. Unlike traditional hotels, this place truly makes you feel at home.

This hotel is excellent! They upgraded our room, which was perfect for two adults and two children – not cramped at all. The hotel food was also fantastic, so we didn't even need to go out looking for meals. The activities organized by the hotel were great too; the kids had a blast. Xiao Xi and Xiao Kai took the children to 'Wilderness Hunter,' which was a really meaningful experience.

First, the positives: 1. **Exceptional Cleanliness**: Despite the extensive use of wood and carpets, the hotel maintained impeccable hygiene. The hotel is like a beautiful garden; I'd love to stay here for a few more days on my next trip to Lijiang.

We booked a suite, and it looked exactly like the photos which is great, opulent in fact. For the price we paid it is incredible value really. The hotel seemed empty and could have done so much better. It definitely has issues: 1. Its location on Trip.com is wrong, even the name differs. Taxi/Didi will drop you at Shuhe South Gate 200m away. 2. Check in time says 1:30pm on Trip.com but on arrival they ask you to come back at 2pm, no welcome, no acknowledgment of how many bags you want to leave in their care, they will ignore you until 2pm. 3. One male staff was unbelievably rude, he came to the reception when we wanted to check in at 1:30pm and “Oi!!!” loudly at us like he was yelling at a dog. In all our lives we never had such greetings. Our reaction must have told him, he was quiet after and quickly checked us in. 4. Lacking in details: a few umbrellas at reception would be nice in Yunnan’s rain, there was a kettle in the room but no coffee or tea bags (Yunnan is famous for both). No bathmat either but a yellow sign “Caution Wet Floor”, no soap at the basin, nothing. Shower was weak and tepid even at hottest level. 5. Breakfast was poor in a dining room with leaking roof. It felt like the hotel is running on empty, and few skeleton staff. On the PLUS side: great location in Shuhe Ancient Town, very spacious suite, super comfortable king bed, hotel does have a few super helpful staff who genuinely want to make it work, even apologized for the rude male staff.

After comparing several, I finally chose the Liyuan Inn, and I really didn't step on thunder! The price is reasonable, the room is clean and spacious, much more comfortable than the hotel at the same price. The location is at the south gate of the ancient city, there is no need to drag the box to go far, the boss will pick us up at the intersection. The service is also very safe. When I come back late at night, I will take care of it. I feel full of security and recommend it to all friends who come to Lijiang.

Wonderful first time trip to Yunnan. The inn is clean and have all the amenities I need. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speedy assistance when I request for something. The breakfast mixian is yummy. The lady boss provides excellent service. She helped to book all my major transportation to n fro airport, visits to the snow mountain and musical play and even the purchase of tickets. She'll share info of where are the places worth going in Lijiang ancient city. The various shops I went, to take cultural costumes photo and purchase of silver accessories and to eat are recommended by her as well. She even helped me to book the mini tour for my shangri-la trip in between. You can basically ask her anything you need advise for travel in Yunnan. Very glad that I've chosen this place and I'll stay here again if I do come back to Lijiang.

The room was very clean, and the hostess was incredibly kind and helpful. She's a local and gave us lots of tips for sightseeing, recommended places to eat, and even shared tricks for booking tickets for the Yulong Snow Mountain cable car. The guesthouse's location is also very convenient, close to the North Gate, making it easy to go out and explore or wander around the Old Town. The courtyard inside the guesthouse has a charming, antique feel, and it's great for photos. All in all, I highly recommend it!

I chose a six-person dorm, and at around 20-something yuan a night, it felt incredibly cheap. The bunk beds were solid and didn't wobble, offering great value for money. The common areas were also lovely, with a very artistic decor. What I appreciated most was that both the rooms and public areas were smoke-free, with a designated smoking area on the balcony by the entrance. Plus, they don't allow pets like cats or dogs.

This was my first time staying at a B&B, and it was a fantastic experience! First off, they proactively added me on WeChat as soon as I booked. My mom and I both found their duvets and pillows incredibly comfortable. The owner was also very welcoming and enthusiastic. Although the breakfast was simple, everything tasted delicious. The location is super convenient, right downstairs from Sifang Street. Plus, they offer pick-up and drop-off services and help with your luggage, which really solves the transportation issues in the ancient town.

I think it's pretty good! It's a five-star hotel, and while it's not brand new, you can tell they spared no expense on the materials, with a lot of solid wood and heavy-duty construction. The bathroom fixtures are all from top brands too. Honestly, I was so tired of staying at other B&Bs in Lijiang; they were either not as pictured or freshly renovated with formaldehyde fumes. Plus, the hygiene at B&Bs generally isn't that great. This is a star-rated hotel, so it definitely meets a certain standard. The slippers and towels are all very comfortable, and there's a good selection for breakfast. Afternoon tea can be enjoyed in their tea room, with a Naxi lady serving you tea. The king-size room is larger, brighter, and more spacious than the twin room. I recommend the king-size room. The service is very attentive. On the day of my arrival, they called me and asked me to let them know when I was close, so hotel staff could come down to help with luggage. There's a slight slope and some steps leading up to the hotel. As for the location, it's on the southwest side of Shuhe Ancient Town. It's convenient to get to Longtan (highly recommended, it's beautiful). If you're heading to the northeast side of the ancient town, it's a bit far (you'd need to take a taxi to go around), but after dinner, you can just walk it off. In Lijiang, it's hot when the sun is out and cold when it rains. Remember to protect yourself from the sun and keep warm. Even in May, you should bring a jacket when you're in the ancient town.

This was my second stay at Anantara. My first experience in Sanya left a lasting impression with their exceptional service, so choosing Anantara Lijiang for this trip was a no-brainer. Their service is consistently outstanding. The room was surprisingly spacious, well-equipped, and all the amenities were of high quality. I particularly loved Anantara's combs – they felt luxurious, and they even provided options for both curly and straight hair. The Dyson hairdryer was another fantastic touch. The room always had a subtle, pleasant woody scent. Opening the window offered a lovely view of the cobblestone streets. Being next door to the InterContinental, the overall environment was quite tranquil. However, due to the wooden floors, the circular architectural style, and its location within the ancient town, some noise from neighboring rooms could occasionally be heard. My absolute favorite aspects were the exquisite and delicious afternoon tea and breakfast. The airport transfer service was also incredibly smooth.
