To be honest, Luoyang International completely exceeded my expectations. It truly deserves its five-star rating, from the service to the hardware facilities. I'm so glad I decided to upgrade to an executive room upon arrival; the experience was absolutely fantastic. Every single staff member at the lounge was incredibly kind! I honestly found the lounge food to be delicious! Happy hour consists of a self-serve buffet and à la carte main courses. That hot and sour Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, in particular, was amazing!!! So, so good! I ate it two days in a row. However, I did find the afternoon tea mini cakes to be a bit average and not quite to my taste. Cocktail hour in the evening was also a big hit. The bartender, Ethan, was exceptionally friendly and kind! His name is Ethan, and he's really a wonderful person! The cocktails he made were perfectly to my liking. He even mentioned he taught himself how to make Mojitos, haha! And he kept saying he wasn't confident in his bartending skills! But I thought they were delicious! Truly, really delicious!!! No exaggeration, seriously. Every single staff member in the lounge was absolutely wonderful! I've had such a fantastic time these past few days! If I had to mention any downsides: Firstly, the fried food issue. The fried items at breakfast were soggy. I tried the hash browns again on the second day, and I wondered why they seemed so crispy – turns out they were completely dried out! And the whole batch in that warmer was dry. I think the hotel's heat lamps could use some adjustment; it felt like there was no heat under them whenever I went to get food, which might affect how fried items are kept. This was also an issue with the fried items in the lounge – very soggy. Secondly, the hotel doormen. I feel like this was a bit hit-or-miss. On our first day, when we arrived, there was a doorman at the entrance, and we were the only car there, but he was on his phone. He was a young man with glasses. I'm not sure if he was dealing with work or something else. We had to call out to him when we couldn't manage our luggage anymore before he came to help us. The second night we returned to the hotel, there was no one to greet the car or assist. However, on our checkout day and the young man who helped us change rooms were both exceptionally good! He seemed to be an intern and was incredibly proactive and diligent in everything he did! Many thanks to this young man! I regret not catching his name. The cleaning lady was also excellent. Thank you to every staff member at the hotel! I will definitely choose this hotel again! The service truly impressed me! Especially every staff member in the lounge! A big shout-out to the lounge team! Thank you all! I had a wonderful time in the lounge these past few nights!

This hotel was the best choice for our May Day trip to Luoyang! It's right in the heart of the old town, making it convenient to go anywhere. The attentive service was incredibly satisfying! This is truly the 'Pang Dong Lai' (a well-known, high-quality department store) of high-end hotels – the experience was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend all hotels across the country learn from and emulate this one! First off, they offer free pick-up and drop-off from the station! Even if the driver was temporarily unavailable, the hotel would help arrange a taxi and cover the cost. These little details really won me over! The room was super spacious, bright, and didn't feel cramped. The bedding was thoughtfully chosen, and you could even select your own pillow to suit different sleeping preferences – I relaxed instantly as soon as I lay down! Although the facilities are a little old, it didn't affect the experience at all. It was clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with great attention to detail. Any minor flaws were completely negligible. The breakfast was truly eye-opening, a proper Luoyang food feast! Authentic beef soup was available to our heart's content, and all local specialty snacks were covered. They even had fresh salmon of good quality. It was a perfect blend of Chinese and Western cuisine, offering incredible value for money – you could spend hours just enjoying breakfast! During our stay, we could also order complimentary snacks, pastries, and drinks. They provided warm hospitality and food throughout the day, so we could eat to our heart's content without even leaving the hotel! The staff were gentle and patient, always responsive, and we felt completely pampered throughout our stay. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Luoyang! I sincerely recommend it!

Let's start with the positives: This is an older, established hotel. While the facilities show their age, many small details highlight their service philosophy. For example, the 'Whim Card' lists numerous small items they can provide, which is very comprehensive. The TV remote control was disinfected and packaged. The mini-fridge contained local, classic sodas. This shows that their overall service is on point. The room was spacious enough and I didn't notice any major issues with cleanliness. Breakfast was abundant and very good. Now for the negatives: The facilities definitely need an upgrade. The computer still runs on Windows 7, and the software versions are even older. It should just be removed, there's really no need for it to be there. I suggest repairing the bathroom and faucets. The switch for diverting water between the bathtub and the showerhead isn't properly sealed; when you run the bath, the showerhead drips everywhere. The same issue exists with the shower itself. Also, the air conditioning refilled water at night. The gushing sound around 11 PM startled me; I thought there was a leak. It could easily be refilled during the day instead.

This hotel seems to be hyped up by bloggers, attracting a lot of visitors. Here's our experience after a two-night stay: **Pros:** The train pick-up service was really thoughtful, and overall, the service was quite good – they were generally responsive to our requests. **Suggestions:** 1. **The 'order every four hours' gimmick:** This is one order per room every four hours. You have to order *all* the listed free items at once; if you order separately, it doesn't count towards the four-hour rule. Each personalized order can have a maximum of 21 items, with no more than 3 of any single item. However, if you want to order the same thing twice, for example, I ordered three slices of watermelon twice because I liked it, but only one portion arrived. Even if you order 21 items, the system doesn't show an order summary, so you can't verify it. I definitely didn't receive 21 items. Personally, I think this 'gimmick' is just a way to make guests feel like they're getting something extra when they're not, and you don't truly get what you order. My suggestion is to scrap this service altogether. Just provide welcome fruits and meals for each room. There's no point in raising guest expectations only to then set up various small hurdles. 2. **The 90-degree bows from staff at the elevator:** This is honestly unnecessary. I think a polite bow when seeing guests off would be perfectly sufficient.

Several friends highly recommended we stay here if we were visiting Longmen Grottoes. I'm glad I listened to their advice, because their taste is excellent! The hotel is located on East Mountain, facing the Longmen Grottoes on West Mountain across the river. You can even see some of the grottoes from the rooftop terrace of Building 5. The hotel is right next to Xiangshan Temple and surrounds Bai Garden, offering beautiful scenery at every turn. The service is also excellent. You can book an electric shuttle at the front desk to take you to the East Gate of the Grottoes, then walk or take another shuttle to the Northwest Gate ticket office. After exploring the Grottoes and Bai Garden, it's just a short walk back to the hotel. The room type we booked even included a free send-off service to the station, which was very convenient. While the decor might be a little dated, the facilities are complete. It's clean and hygienic, with welcome fruit and complimentary snacks and drinks. The breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, all rich and delicious, though the coffee was really not good, haha. We had lunch in the banquet hall, using a BOGO deal from Ctrip for two people, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous and tasty! Upon check-in, we received a voucher for the tea room on the upper floor's terrace. Enjoying tea and a book there was incredibly pleasant! The lady working at the tea room provided amazing service. Overall, I highly recommend it!

It's perfectly located right outside the main entrance of the Longmen Grottoes, just a few minutes' walk to the scenic area, and very convenient for reaching the high-speed train station or the city center. The surrounding area features Longmen Ancient Street, offering plenty of dining and shopping options. The hotel itself has a fantastic design, making it very photogenic. What's even better is the attractive price – the value for money is outstanding; I doubt you'll find a better deal on the entire Black Pearl list.

I came to Luoyang specifically for the peony blossom season, which is peak tourist season here. Hotel prices are higher, especially for those close to the core attractions in the Old Town, where the increase is even more significant. I ended up choosing this Holiday Inn near the Municipal Government in Luoyang's new district, and the experience was very good. The location is excellent. The subway station is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get to Luoyang's main peony viewing spots and other attractions. Since there are so many tourists right now, parking and traffic around the Old Town and flower viewing areas are a nightmare, so the subway is definitely the best option. Even though we drove, we parked the car in the hotel's underground parking, which was also very convenient. There are plenty of dining options near the hotel. While it might not have as many trendy, '网红' (internet-famous) restaurants as the Old Town, many places in the new district offer good value for money. Breakfast was standard for a Holiday Inn, but a nice touch was the upgraded coffee beans, which are the same as Luckin Coffee's and taste great. Everything else also met the usual Holiday Inn standards.

It was a shame I didn't get admitted to China University of Mining and Technology back in 2019, especially since they had the alumni association sign right at the hotel entrance, haha. From the hotel's rooftop, you can enjoy a beer and the breeze while admiring Mingtang, Tiantang, and Yingtianmen. The breakfast was also plentiful, especially with lots of *huladong* (spicy soup) and beef. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

The only downside was the lift, took a long time.

Great bargain given how insanely big the rooms are. I booked a room with queenside bed, bathroom, sink, shower AND bathtub but I was also shown two family rooms that have multiple beds and even living rooms. They were also super affordable. The hotel has no restaurant so you cannot have breakfast there. However - plenty of restaurants are within a 5 minute radius. There is also a supermarket and a couple convenience stores within 3 minute radius. The rooms and public areas are kept pretty clean. However - the various areas are in different states. The reception looks like it could need a renovation yesterday. The hallways leading to the rooms look pretty new while some of the rooms (e.g. family rooms) look pretty fresh while my room looked like it is close to being in need of a bathroom renovation. However - it was clean and still in good enough shape and in terms of pricing it was an absolute bargain. I paid way more for much worse in places like Shantou or Paris. Would I stay there again? If price levels remain the same I would absolutely stay there again. Very nice staff.

We arrived at the hotel around 8 AM. If there were vacancies, could they have arranged for us to check in earlier instead of insisting we wait until 2 PM, citing hotel policy? Cleanliness was average. We stayed for three nights, and when we returned the next day, the trash in the room hadn't been cleaned up; my travel companions ended up taking it out themselves. There wasn't enough shower gel and shampoo in the room (the shampoo bottle was only half full when we checked in). When we called the front desk to ask for more, they bombarded us with questions and explanations. The hotel should pay attention to service quality and ensure that room amenities are complete before check-in, instead of just half-full bottles, making guests feel like they were trying to get something for nothing. The hotel room didn't have an exhaust fan (only buttons, no machine), so the towels smelled of cigarette smoke from the previous guest, and after using the toilet, you could only open the window to air it out. Ordering takeout was quite convenient.
