Excellent hotel! Everyone was incredibly polite and offered great service. They'd greet and bow to guests whenever they saw them. While the room facilities were a bit old, the location was fantastic, close to the subway station, and offered unbeatable sea views.

You can only check in at the hotel in the afternoon, even if there are empty rooms, they won't let you check in early. The environment is very good, it's basically convenient to walk to Zhonghua Street, and it's also convenient to take a taxi to other places. Taxis are often parked right outside the hotel, so you can catch one anytime. The hotel has a gym but no pool. If you haven't booked breakfast at the hotel, you can easily grab breakfast at the Lawson convenience store across the street.

This was my first time staying at Tokyu, and don't make the mistake I did by thinking the small reception desk at the main entrance is for check-ins – it's not. Check-in is on the second floor. When I first arrived with my child, I asked the ground floor staff if we could check in early, but they didn't mention that check-in was on the second floor. My child and I傻傻 (foolishly) waited until 3 PM to go to the ground floor reception, only to be told to go to the second floor. Once upstairs, there was a long queue, and we didn't get checked in until almost 4 PM. If I had known check-in was on the second floor, my child and I would have gone there to queue much earlier. The front desk staff don't speak Chinese, but the hotel breakfast is good with a wide variety. The location is also very convenient, directly connected to a mall and the subway.

Hotel New Grand is fabulous! We have stayed here before and love it each time. It’s elegant old world with a doorman who greets you, comfortable sized rooms, a concierge and staff that offer friendly help for anything you need. The location is at a beautiful waterfront promenade near the cruise ships and behind it is an interesting Chinatown. There is a subway entrance in two blocks. It’s very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

I booked a single room. Although the room wasn't large, it had everything I needed and was perfectly adequate for one person, especially considering the affordable price. The view from the window was beautiful, especially at night. The biggest surprise was breakfast. They offered tuna and squid sushi, plus unlimited sashimi – that alone makes it better than many five-star hotels. The breakfast selection was also very diverse, with not only Japanese options but also bread and mousse cakes. Enjoying breakfast by the window while taking in the morning view of Yokohama was a real treat.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the essentials. The bed was cozy, and the overall space was well-maintained. Staff were polite, professional, and efficient during both check-in and check-out. Amenities were sufficient, and everything felt organized and hassle-free. Overall, a great balance of comfort, location, and value for money. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Yokohama!

This hotel is incredibly convenient, located right above the JR station and connected to a shopping mall with stores like Uniqlo and Muji. There's a grocery store on the basement level with super affordable sashimi and sushi. You can easily walk to the Red Brick Warehouse and Yamashita Park by the sea, making for a pleasant evening stroll. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, everything is delicious. Each floor has an ice machine and vending machines. For a hotel in Japan at this price point, the rooms are quite spacious, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's super easy to get to places like Kamakura, Odawara, or even Tokyo from here, and all the main attractions in Yokohama itself are within walking distance. Compared to the InterContinental I stayed at last time I was in Yokohama, this place offers so much more value for money; the InterContinental was triple the price for one night! It's also more cost-effective than staying in Tokyo, where hotels generally offer even less value. Highly recommend!

On a side note, I highly recommend the Hunan restaurant in the small alley off to the side of Chinatown – it's very authentic.

very clean and safe even as a solo female traveler!! i do speak japanese so my experience might've been a little different but regardless, the staff always responded kindly and politely (even at night) no matter what i asked. also i liked that there's free cleaning every 4 days. the hotel is less than 10 minutes of walking to both kannai and bashamichi stations, and you can go to tokyo without transfers on minatomirai line from bashamichi station in just an hour if you wish you explore tokyo. if i have an opportunity, i'll definitely stay at this hotel again. the only slight issue there could be is the queue to washing machine as there's only two of them but for me personally it wasn't a dealbreaker so i had no problem waiting.

I really love this hotel. It’s such a charming place. The exterior design is unlike typical hotels — the building is covered with greenery, which makes the atmosphere feel very refreshing. The interior décor, furniture and props are all colorful and adorable, making every corner perfect for taking photos. Even the guest rooms are decorated with bright, cheerful colors. The in room amenities are fully provided. However, it might not be suitable for guests who drive, as I didn’t see any parking spaces available.

Overall, a pleasant stay. The bed is extremely comfy. Having three pillows is a plus. Compared to the conventional hotel in Tokyo, this hotel is relatively large for this standard. The view from the hotel is decent. It’s wished that there are washing machines available. One critical thing is that the room is quite dusty though… You can see the dust floating under the light at the entrance. As for the transportation, it’s around a 3-4 minute walk from Shin-Takashima station (an extra 210yen if you depart from Yokohama station). You can also walk from Yokohama station, but it takes around 15 minutes (and drains quite a lot of stamina if you are carrying your luggage around) The area around the hotel is quite modern but not overwhelming crowded (maybe there wasn’t a concert at KT Zepp Yokohama during my stay at the hotel). There is two 711 nearby and a small-scale food court as well. Other than that, there are not much to shop nearby. In a nutshell, a good hotel with a quiet but not intimidating ambience at night. A less dusty room would be highly appreciated. The location is good enough if paying a 420 yen-round trip everyday for one stop from Yokohama is not financially burdening to you.
