The only issue with this hotel was the slow Wi-Fi. If you're staying here, you might need an unlimited data plan. The entire hotel staff was incredibly proactive and attentive, and they could communicate in basic Chinese. We checked in around 3 or 4 AM, and all our check-in documents were already prepared for us, making the process very efficient. The lobby can help receive food deliveries and packages, and collection is also very meticulous and convenient. The room space was ample. Although the facilities were visibly a bit dated, they were very well-maintained. There were quite a few mirrors, and when my friend expressed some concern about the room's decor, they promptly helped us adjust it. The bathroom had a slight odor, but it was within an acceptable range. There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs from the hotel, and the location is very close to both the BTS and the Airport Rail Link, making it very convenient to get to the city center.

Great location, very close to the BTS Skytrain. You can easily walk to the Erawan Shrine and Central World. The hygiene was well-maintained, and the service was excellent. Facilities are comprehensive, with a pool and gym, though they are a bit small. The rooms, however, are quite spacious. The welcome drink was a thoughtful touch. The hotel has a distinct medieval gallery style, and the theme really stands out. The room was very quiet, and the bedding was clean and comfortable. The staff were very warm and attentive.

I was very lucky to get an upgrade, and the room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The gym has a comprehensive range of weight training equipment, and there are even free trainer-led classes every day at 3 PM, which I found to be a great value. There's also a game room, delicious meals, and plenty of free, good coffee on the first floor. On the first day, I asked housekeeping for two extra bottles of water, and every day after that, my room had four extra bottles – that was very thoughtful. The only minor drawback was that the hot water was a bit unstable.

The hotel is located in the Sukhumvit area. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. During my first stay, the room was nice and well equipped with everything I needed, including large bottles of shampoo and body wash, a hair dryer, a kettle, tea and coffee, a wardrobe, and a small working area. However, my experience during my second stay was not quite as good. There was a small hole in the door, which made me feel a little uncomfortable, although it was not possible to see through it from outside. The sink was also clogged. The staff were very helpful and immediately sent someone to fix it. When it could not be repaired, they kindly upgraded me to a family room. Despite the issues with the room, I was very impressed with how the staff handled the situation and took care of me. The location is also convenient, with a 7-Eleven and several restaurants nearby. I would stay here again if I needed to attend a meeting in this area. The only downside is that the surrounding area can feel a little unsafe or uncomfortable when walking alone at night.

The bathroom could also use more attention to detail, as I noticed some spider webs. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel appears to be popular with China groups, and the lobby was often quite busy. At times, some guests were lying down in the lobby area, which made the atmosphere feel an uncomfortable.

The hotel is not far from Nana station, about an 8-minute walk. Taxis can drop you right at the entrance. Downstairs is a bustling bar street, which gets very lively and congested after 11 PM. There are 7-Eleven convenience stores at both ends of the street and in the middle. I stayed in a room facing the back of the hotel, and it was very quiet! The front desk staff were very friendly. The only downside was that the grout in the shower stall had black mold, likely due to using the wrong material.

Everything was great, and the environment was good. Although it's a bit tucked away in an alley, there's a shuttle bus to the alley entrance, which is quite convenient! There's only one thing that wasn't so good: the soundproofing is really terrible. I'm not someone who's overly sensitive to noise, but the sound insulation is genuinely very poor! On the first night, I could hear the people in the next room chatting very loudly, and they continued until past 5 AM, making it impossible to sleep, so I left early! When I returned to the room on the second day, there were two Korean guys next door, making a lot of noise all night, constantly ”****” (explicit word removed), again until 5 or 6 AM. It was only on the last night that it finally quieted down. Besides the soundproofing, everything else was basically good, and the hotel staff were very friendly! If they could improve the sound insulation, it would truly be a great hotel! I would definitely be willing to stay again!

This was my first stay at 130 Hotel, and I tested it out for a week. The room was very clean, the air conditioning was cold, and the fridge was large. It had a safe, and the bathroom was spotless with a separate wet and dry area. The sink area was very practical. There was a kettle and a hairdryer, but no toothbrush. It also had a square table and two chairs, which were very useful. For shopping, there's a 7-Eleven to the left of the hotel, Lotus's to the right, and a CJ MORE supermarket further right. It was incredibly convenient! The breakfast restaurant was excellent, and the food was good too. I also recommend the small shop next to 7-Eleven; both the taste and prices were super. My experience at 130 Hotel was a success, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

But if you want authentic Thai hospitality, traditional Thai-inspired architecture, lush tropical surroundings, and a peaceful beachfront escape, this resort is absolutely worth it. I stayed here as a solo traveler and had one of the most relaxing stays Ive experienced. Its also perfect for couples, honeymooners, and families. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view hillside cottage even though I booked one of the more affordable room categories. The private beach was the main reason I chose this resort and it was exactly what I was looking for, quiet, uncrowded, and perfect for relaxing. I also loved the petting zoo, the beautiful pool, and the delicious food. Every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming and genuinely helpful. Special thanks to Ms. Chuty and Ms. Kat at the front desk for making our stay even more memorable. They assisted us during checkout, kindly reminded us about a few belongings we had accidentally left in the room without ever making us feel rushed, and even allowed us to extend our stay until 12:30 PM, which we truly appreciated. Since our flight was later in the afternoon, they also arranged lounge access so we could comfortably wait in an airconditioned area until it was time to leave. Their kindness and thoughtfulness really reflected the genuine hospitality of the resort. I also appreciated the complimentary refreshments in the lobby, the beach bag provided for guests, the convenient buggy service, and the fact that ordering GrabFood was easy. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the TVs to Smart TVs. Other than that, everything exceeded my expectations. This resort may not be the newest, but it’s clean, wellmaintained, peaceful, and full of character. If you appreciate nature, privacy, and heartfelt service over ultra modern luxury, you’ll absolutely love staying here. I absolutely loved this hotel; my overall experience this time was truly wonderful! ❤️ The hotel staff were all very friendly, and the quality of service was excellent. Although we only found out after booking that the hotel's waterslide was under maintenance, and I was a bit worried the kids would be disappointed, the hotel was very thoughtful and provided an inflatable pool for the children to play in. The kids still had a fantastic time! I also have to commend the hotel's breakfast. The variety was incredibly rich with so many choices, and it was included with the stay at no extra charge, which was a huge plus. The shuttle service within the hotel grounds was also very convenient, almost always available on demand, making it easy to get around with kids or luggage. While it was a bit of a shame that the waterslide was under maintenance this time, the hotel's arrangements for service and alternative facilities were very sincere. The overall stay experience wasn't diminished at all. Great service, rich breakfast, family-friendly, and convenient shuttle – this is a hotel I would definitely want to stay at again! A nice little hotel for a rest after a long journey! I chose this hotel with my child so we could quickly get there after a long flight. Our plane landed at 11 PM. By the time you clear passport control, get picked up, and take a shower, it's already 1 AM. This is a good option! The linens are clean cotton! There's hot water! A 7-Eleven and massage place are a leisurely 7-minute walk away. They change the linens, towels, and water every day. We needed two days to recover, and extending our stay was easy. The pool is clean. Breakfast is European style: omelets, sausages, ham, some Thai dish (chicken in sauce), rice, toast, croissants, jams, butter, coffee, tea, cocktails, juices. It's a perfectly good breakfast. The cost is 250 (baht, presumably). Of course, if you're used to staying in luxury hotels and have high demands, you might want to think twice. I've stayed in various categories of hotels, from four-star resorts to beach bungalows. I've been to places where they didn't change the bed linen. Here, it's clean, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and lovely! Everyone is ready to help. Everyone always smiles. Many reviews mention drawbacks, but I won't even discuss those. It's clean, clean, clean, and the staff are as welcoming as can be. It's a good place to rest after traveling, get used to the local vibe a bit, and acclimatize to the warmth! Facilities: This was our first time bringing our child to Phuket. We initially booked The Emerald in Karon, but then I read reviews saying that while it was new, the pool felt a bit cramped between the two buildings. So, I checked out more reviews and decisively switched to the established Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort, which has a more resort-like vibe! It boasts a super large pool water park, and there's even a dedicated children's area with a small water slide 🛝 for toddlers, which is fantastic! Cleanliness: As an older five-star hotel, the decor is a bit dated, so the rooms feel a little old, but overall cleanliness is quite good. There were no issues with small animals or anything like that, unlike some online reviews suggested. Environment: As always, I've attached pictures; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Service: The front desk service was excellent. We booked island hopping tours daily, and they picked us up at the front desk each day. On the first day, I was unfamiliar with the area and worried about finding the driver, so a staff member proactively helped us check our itinerary and contacted the driver via phone to clarify things in Thai! Thumbs up! One more thing I absolutely must mention: The Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort's location is arguably the most convenient in the Karon area. Right outside, there's a small commercial street with massage parlors, fruit stalls, Thai food, and seafood – everything you could want! Plus, turn right out of the hotel and walk just 30 meters, and you're at the stunning Karon Beach in minutes. There's also a 🚌 bus stop right outside that goes to Phuket Town, which is much more convenient than Centara Karon Resort Phuket!

I've stayed at this hotel many times, but this was by far the worst experience. I was traveling with my child and, due to a schedule change, I had to book two separate orders for different room types. I explained the situation to the front desk and asked if I could upgrade my room by paying the difference. The front desk lady, seeing the booking, seemed to sense an opportunity to make more money. She then rattled off a bunch of reasons to charge me extra for my child: an extra bed fee, an extra breakfast fee, and a room upgrade fee – totaling 5000 baht for four days! When I checked the app, I realized that for just a few tens of extra bucks, I could have booked a whole new room. The hotel's breakfast fee also shot up from 250 baht to 470 baht per person, with no significant improvement in quality. I really want to ask the hotel, do you have to be so obviously greedy?

A cozy, medium-sized hotel shaped like a cruise ship. The definite highlight of this hotel is the infinity pool on the rooftop, offering a fantastic view of the city and the sea, especially at night. A DJ entertains guests with music by the pool in the evening. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only downside for me was having a bathtub instead of a shower. The fridge only contained paid bar drinks. You can walk from the hotel to the beach, passing countless cafes, restaurants, massage parlors, and convenience stores along the way. There are several Russian-speaking channels on the TV. The price is reasonable. I recommend it.

The service was excellent. The staff kept the building clean, the breakfast buffet team was great and the atmosphere was amazing. The only things I didn’t enjoy was how understaffed the beach bar seemed because we had to constantly ask when our food would be finished because it was taking so long. I assumed it was understaffed in the kitchen. Ask the lobster bruschetta was not actually lobster, but shrimp. Unsure if it’s a language barrier thing or they stopped using lobster for it and just didn’t change the menu to reflect that. It tasted great, but perhaps the price would be different if it was labeled what it actually was. The room was so nice and clean! Cleaning ladies came by daily and every single person working there was unbelievably friendly and kind. I will most definitely go back just for the hotel alone! The hotel close to everything, including many different beaches. One thing to keep in mind, even though the hotel is on a beach front, you can’t swim in that particular beach, but they do have a pool on site! 10/10 🤩

For the latter half of our trip to Phuket, we switched to the Marina Phuket Resort, nestled between Kata and Karon beaches. Firstly, this hotel boasts a traditional Thai style, built on a hillside with a rich tropical rainforest vibe. Strolling through the grounds feels like being immersed in a romantic jungle. The architecture is distinctly Thai, and the landscaping offers beautiful scenery at every turn. What truly stands out is that the rear of the hotel connects directly to Karon Beach. Come sunset, gazing out at the horizon, the crimson twilight merges with the sea, waves caress the golden sand, and the dark cliff rocks add to a stunning, unparalleled view. You can walk along the soft, fine sand or enjoy playing in the water – it's perfect. Next door, there's a restaurant that hosts fireworks and fire-breathing shows in the evenings, so if your timing is right, you can enjoy them for free. Secondly, the hotel's service is generally attentive and gentle, very much in the Thai style – perfect for a relaxed, slow-paced vacation. Guests receive complimentary dinner daily at the Red Chopsticks restaurant right outside, offering a fusion of cuisines that's pretty decent. Breakfast is served by the pool, though the selection isn't extensive. Finally, I personally feel this hotel is better suited for older families or couples seeking a quiet retreat. For families with young children, there aren't many play areas, and due to its hillside location, it might be inconvenient for the elderly to move around.

We had a street-facing room this time, and the noise from motorcycles and tuk-tuks at night was so loud we couldn't sleep. If you're considering this hotel and are sensitive to noise, definitely avoid the street-facing rooms. The common areas are small, and the lobby was hot with no air conditioning. The staff lacked a service-oriented mindset; no one offered to help with luggage, and the restaurant staff were casually chatting amongst themselves. The room decor was a retro nightclub style, which I guess is a matter of personal taste.

Woody and the team at Bandara took great care of us. The staff were incredibly helpful with anything we needed from booking excursions to ensuring my sister’s dietary restrictions were catered for. The facilities were well maintained and the rooms we had were a comfortable size for us. Beds were also very comfortable.  Whilst Panwa is a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Phuket, it was the perfect relaxing escape for us. There are still plenty of eateries and things to do near by.  We honestly don’t want to leave! I’d highly recommend a stay at Bandara. We hope to come back again in the future.
