💡 重庆旅行小贴士
👟 一定要穿舒服的鞋
这是我觉得最重要的一点。重庆是山城，到处都是坡道和楼梯。有时候导航显示只要走几分钟，但实际可能要爬好几层楼梯才能到达目的地。所以高跟鞋、新鞋、不好走的鞋子，不建议带哦。
🚇 优先选择搭地铁
虽然重庆打车不算特别贵，但如果遇到上下班 peak hour 或周末热门景点附近，就会非常塞车了。而且很多景点像李子坝、解放碑、观音桥、洪崖洞附近都有地铁站，其实搭地铁会比打车更方便、更省时间。
🌙 洪崖洞一定要晚上去
白天和晚上的洪崖洞，真的完全是两个地方。如果时间有限，我会建议把洪崖洞安排在傍晚之后。先在附近走走吃东西，等到天黑亮灯后再拍照，那才是大家看到的重庆经典夜景 👍。
☔ 随身带把折叠伞
重庆天气变化蛮快的。有时候早上还是大太阳，下午突然开始下雨也不奇怪。所以包包里放一把轻便折叠伞，会安心很多。
📱 提前准备好 eSIM
看地图、查攻略、叫车、翻译、找餐厅，这些基本上每天都会用到。所以我每次出发前都会先把 eSIM 准备好，一下机直接有网用，不需要找 Wi-Fi，也不用现场换 SIM 卡。通常我都会直接在 Trip.com 买好 eSIM，价格便宜之外，而且用起来也比较方便稳定。
💰 电子支付会方便很多
虽然部分地方还是可以使用现金，但现在大部分商店、餐厅和景点周边都习惯电子支付。如果有准备支付宝或微信支付的话，整个旅程会方便很多！

The hotel offered a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room for Ctrip Black Diamond members, which was a lucky stroke given the room availability; the room was very spacious.
The hotel is just a three-minute walk from Jiefangbei, surrounded by many shopping malls and subway stations. The only downside is that taking a taxi can get stuck in traffic. There's also a mall downstairs with a good selection of high-end and mid-range restaurants.
The hairdryer in the room was a bit old and difficult to switch on.
There were no bed rails for children's beds.
One day we heard that breakfast ended at 10:30 AM, but on our last day, when we went at 10:30 AM, we found out it ended at 10:00 AM that day and only managed to get two packed bread boxes. Perhaps breakfast ends at 10:30 AM on weekends and 10:00 AM on weekdays. We stayed for four days. The hotel didn't provide clear enough notifications to guests about the breakfast times.
We tried the Napoleon pastry downstairs, which had high reviews online. At 20 yuan per slice, the price was very reasonable, but the taste was just average.DariRUB 8,255

Traveling with my dog to Chongqing, I stayed at the Westin Jiefangbei. Its prime location in the heart of Jiefangbei made shopping and getting around incredibly convenient. The high-altitude panoramic views were stunning. As a pet-friendly hotel, the check-in process for my pet was smooth after prior communication. The room was well-maintained, and having an underground parking lot was a huge plus for self-driving. The breakfast offered a rich variety, including local Chongqing specialties. The guest ambassador was very responsive and handled requests efficiently. My only minor disappointment was the lack of luggage assistance upon arrival, which was a slight deviation from the brand's expected service. This time, I stayed at the Kaiyuan Mingdu Hotel in Yuzhong District, Chongqing. The lobby bar on the 32nd floor offers an incredible ambiance, blending Oriental Tang-style aesthetics with the unique characteristics of a mountain city. From the terrace, you can enjoy panoramic city views.
I booked an Executive River View King Room. The room was very spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views. The bathtub by the window was perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of shopping. The bed featured five-star Slumberland bedding, which was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep even after travel. The minibar was complimentary, toiletries were by PASCAL BITO, and turndown service was provided. Members also get one free laundry item per night, showing excellent attention to detail.
The hotel is conveniently located right above Xiaoshizi subway station. Luohan Temple, Yangtze River Cableway, and Baixiangju are all within walking distance, and Hongyadong is not far either, making getting around incredibly easy.
On the 29th floor, there's a gym equipped with MATRIX machines, perfect for a quick workout even while traveling. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and I highly recommend trying the Chongqing noodles. Overall, the service was attentive and thoughtful.DariRUB 5,954

This hotel is very close to Chen Cheng's Residence. It's a century-old mansion that retains its original blue brick and wooden beams, stair corridors, and staggered terraces, all while embracing a Wabi-sabi and New Chinese low-saturation aesthetic. The misty grey paired with old wood tones creates a very relaxing atmosphere, perfect for those who love photography. The location is excellent, peaceful yet central, and even better, there's a mini-park right below! The soundproofing in the rooms is also great!
**Facilities:** Very well-equipped, with excellent attention to detail! The bedding is high-quality and very comfortable, and the toiletries are nice.
**Hygiene:** Extremely clean, practically spotless – something many hotels struggle to achieve!
**Service:** The front desk guy and the concierge lady provided excellent service. They were enthusiastic but not overbearing, maintaining a professional distance! (For this alone, I'd definitely stay here again next time.)
**Unexpected Delights:** Considering I was traveling with a high schooler, they upgraded my room for free and even provided afternoon tea and breakfast for my child! (Highly recommend the parent-child suites for those with kids.)
I especially want to commend the hotel's afternoon tea – both the drinks and cakes were excellent and delicious. The welcome fruit was very fresh! Breakfast was substantial, generous in portions, and offered a wide variety!

🏮Located inside a renovated church down a long winding stair alley, this hotel was the definition of a hidden gem. If you didn’t know it existed, you definitely wouldn’t know it was there. The rooms were extremely spacious, with high ceilings, beautifully considered decor, and refined aesthetics. I’d say the rooms were way better than the pictures. ⛪️✨
📸 The hotel offers a free travel photography service. You can have your hair/makeup/outfit done professionally for an additional charge but we wore our own stuff. Zihao (子豪) came to take photos of us on our second day and they turned out absolutely stunning!! The entire process took about an hour and he was incredibly professional, kind, and funny; and took the time to work with us through the language barrier using a translator app on his phone. You get a certain number of free photos, but we ended up buying almost the entire photo set with minimal editing from him because they turned out so good. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip. I will treasure the photos he took of my mom forever.
🍴 Breakfast is included and there’s a full service bar for guests where you can get free soft drinks and freshly cut fruit throughout the day. The hotel will also deliver a soup to your room in the evening (called night service? I think?) and it was really delicious. I have no photos of that because we ate it too fast. 😋
🧳 📝 The entrance of the hotel is a bit of a far- the nearest car drop-off point is Lingshi Alley No.8, Yuzhong Chongqing, and from there, you have to walk 3-4 flights of stairs down an alley to get to the entrance of the church. The hotel will message you ahead to help you with your luggage (and they’re extremely nice! Two of the staff helped us get our suitcases to our car at 5am when we had to leave very early 😵💫) but if you have any accessibility needs or difficulties walking up and down stairs, or just have a ton of luggage, this might not be the hotel for you 🚙😥

The hotel is in a tall building directly facing the Monument to the People’s Liberation, and I stayed on the 36th floor, which offered a fantastic panoramic view of the city. It was a real highlight to wake up to such a stunning skyline.
The room was clean and a decent size, offering great value for the price. The bathroom could be improved a bit in terms of cleanliness and maintenance, but it was manageable.
One thing that stood out was the friendly and helpful staff, they were always polite and ready to assist with anything I needed, which made the stay even more pleasant.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a three-minute walk from Exit 2 of Linjiangmen Station. It's very convenient to get to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong.
The service was great. Both check-in and check-out were very thoughtful, and they provided guests with a local travel guide. Responses were quick, and both food delivery and answering questions were very timely. Room cleaning was also good.
The 21st-floor view was nice, and the free evening congee was a lovely, heartwarming touch.
There were just two minor drawbacks: 1. The hotel is on a high floor, and the entire building shares elevators. During peak hours, you might have to wait 5-10 minutes for an elevator, but this is an issue for all hotels in the building. 2. I stayed in Chongqing for 4 days, and before checking in, I specifically communicated with Qingju staff, requesting a quiet, high-floor room.
I really appreciate the staff's careful selection of rooms, which allowed us to stay in the 6463 city view king room! Upon entering, I had hoped to overlook Jiefangbei, but this room faced a construction site, and Jiefangbei was still some distance away. I imagine the view will be even more affected once the building is completed. However, even with the construction, the night view of Jiefangbei was absolutely stunning!
On the second night of our stay (Friday), there was a party event at a shop downstairs. The continuous, booming bass noise made it impossible to sleep. We reported it, and the hotel staff were very accommodating. Although all rooms were fully booked that night, they arranged for us to temporarily stay elsewhere. Their attitude was excellent, and they even provided small gifts and milk. Thanks for the thoughtful service! They genuinely solved the problem – fantastic!
BUT, the next day, after moving to room 6537, I was utterly disappointed. This was also listed as a city view room, but while other city view rooms have large floor-to-ceiling windows, this one only had a tiny window. The room type was vastly different from what I booked, and I even doubted if it truly counted as a 'city view' room. Furthermore, the soundproofing on the 5th floor was really poor! I could clearly hear guests talking next door and across the hall, and children crying. Several times, I was woken up early in the morning by the noise from outside.
Therefore, objectively speaking, the hotel's advantages are: excellent location, easily accessible from Exit 3 of Linjiangmen, making it convenient to get to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. Every lady at the front desk was very friendly and willing to help solve problems. The hotel's thoughtful little details are also worth mentioning: there are washing machines in the public area for guests, the front desk always provides ice water, and they even offer popsicles, which are especially refreshing and thoughtful in Chongqing's hot weather.
However, I only wish the soundproofing could be improved slightly. Also, the hotel breakfast had limited variety, so if you want breakfast, it's best to go early.

The hospitality from the Radisson’s is impeccable. They are very welcoming including the reception team Paul as well as the concierge team.
Location wise, the hotel is right in the heart of the action; not far from people’s square where the main tourist attraction is as well as walking distance to the metro station.
The room itself is comfortable and very quiet so would highly recommend. There is the additional facilities that we tried out including the swimming pool, which was pretty awesome. One word of warning though, it’s mandatory to wear a swimming cap in a public swimming pool in China, of which the Radisson team gave on the spot.

The staff is curteous and hard working, but still lacks a bit of training/skills - no proactive communication during breakfast, i.e. offering coffee or anything really, just picking up plates (it is a new hotel, so one should not be too harsh...they will get there on time).
Very affordable minibar (free on the day of arrival) and room service (the food is ok, but lacks in presentation and served basic style....just a couple of plates thrown on the table...no trolley, no tablecloth, napkins...)
The pool looks nice, but it is not operated by the hotel...some kids learning how to swim while we were there so not sure whether they have it open for the outside guests (kids swimming school?). Something that should be monitored by the hotel in the future - for the guest, the pool is considered a part of the hotel experience, so a high service and cleanliness level is expected as a norm.
Minor negatives, still something to consider in the future: two days before checkout I've been texted by a member of staff to deposit another 1k RMB (after depositing 10k already) since my total expense has exceeded the initial deposit. Never happened to me before and never should have happened in the first place. One might even feel offended by such request (like I would run away without paying the rest of my bill or something...I guess, spending more should be a plus, no?). Also, at the end, I was asked to write a 5 star review and received a fully prepared review text by Wechat, which I was supposed to simply copy/paste. Well, initially we laughed about it, but one might find it a bit condesending, no? Anyways, these small glitches are not of utmost importance. I have already decided to give them 5 star, since it is a brand new place, with huge potential and enough room for improvement to perfection. We really had a great time in Chongqing and our hotel experience was in general a pleasant one. I would certainly stay there again. We had a wonderful stay at Niccolo Chongqing and it was exactly the kind of comfortable and refined experience we needed during our trip through China.
Our room was beautiful, extremely comfortable and had a spectacular view over Chongqing’s skyline. We particularly enjoyed being able to come back to such a peaceful and relaxing environment after exploring the city. The spa and sauna were also a great addition and made our stay even more enjoyable.
Breakfast was excellent, with a beautiful selection of both Chinese and international dishes. A special mention goes to Chef Francesco Sanna, who took the time to introduce and explain some of the wonderful dishes available at breakfast. We also really enjoyed our conversations with him – his warmth and enthusiasm made our mornings particularly memorable.
We would also like to thank Jinx, who was incredibly helpful and responsive through WeChat throughout our stay. She assisted us with several different questions and arrangements and was always available, kind and efficient. Having someone we could easily contact made everything feel effortless.
Overall, what stood out was not only the quality of the hotel, but the genuinely warm and attentive service. After travelling through several cities in China, Niccolo was one of the places where we felt most comfortable and well looked after.

Hmm, the room size in the central area was pretty good. We stayed for 3 days in total. The first day, which was during the weekend, we had a twin room. Then, after two days of sightseeing, we returned and stayed in a family suite. Wow, the experience in the family suite was excellent! Although it was a bit more expensive, it was genuinely very comfortable. If your budget allows, I truly recommend their family rooms. The space is huge, and after a tiring day of walking, it's just so refreshing to rest there. It genuinely feels like home, which is quite rare, and we slept wonderfully. When traveling, especially after getting tired from walking in Chongqing, having a comfortable hotel to rest in is fantastic. Also, when we needed to go to the airport at the end, this place served as a very convenient transit point. A taxi ride was only 35 minutes, and the fare wasn't expensive, just about 35 yuan. Moreover, finding food here was incredibly convenient. The hotel's wall recommendations for sights and eateries were all perfect; our appetites were great, and we didn't have to search far for food. The main thing was that the taste was good, and the prices weren't high. We tried Xiaomian, the 'bench noodles' from Shibati, and Ba Jiangjun Hotpot – we ate all three, and wow, it was truly amazing! Chongqing cuisine really makes you want to keep coming back. For those who might get tired of spicy food, I think having breakfast at the hotel is very suitable, because you can't eat spicy food every single day. For breakfast, you can have appropriate, less spicy options at the hotel like congee, cakes, fruits, rice noodles, and noodles. The hotel's location is excellent, right in Guanyin Bridge.
The overall hotel environment is good. They offered a complimentary afternoon tea with coffee and bread. In the afternoon, there was also a snack event in the lobby where you could pick one snack for free. Other snacks could be purchased, basically at the same price as outside, and it saved me from going out in the heat, which was great.
The breakfast selection was rich and very satisfying. They even offered porridge in the evening, which was perfect when I was a little hungry but didn't want to eat too much.

As someone who's always traveling, I chose to stay at this new Intercity hotel in Chongqing. I've stayed at Intercity hotels elsewhere and always liked them, so this one in Chongqing was a pleasant surprise. The lobby is on the 3rd floor, and almost all the staff are incredibly well-trained. I can't name them individually as I didn't catch their names. (It was much better than a more expensive hotel I stayed at previously on Binjiang Road; Intercity really delivers on quality.)
The room layout is also excellent. The toilet and shower are separate, and there's a dedicated small area for hanging clothes, making the overall flow very logical. Plus, there were air purifiers or dehumidifiers (I'm not sure which!) in the public corridors, so the humidity and scent in the room were very comfortable.
During my stay, I had an issue with noise from a nightclub downstairs in the early morning. The hotel front desk was very proactive in helping me resolve it and even offered to switch my room. To be honest, I didn't sleep very well these past few days; the bass vibrations were quite unbearable. However, the staff really tried their best, and I understand it's not their fault since they can't control other parts of the building. The laundry service was also convenient and thoughtful.
I really liked the location. It's in a relatively quiet spot within a bustling area, but getting to Guanyinqiao and Hongqihegou for food is super convenient—just a 10 yuan taxi ride. Nanchuan Road, Jiefangbei, and other places are only about 30 yuan away. There are also delicious noodle shops, coffee shops, and the Taping neighborhood to explore nearby. If you have good sleep quality and appreciate Intercity's service and style, you should definitely stay here.

Also, the hotel's location is good, right above Guanyinqiao, but a downside is that you have to go downstairs to pick up food deliveries. The 'butler' service felt useless. If you order a lot of takeaways and don't want to constantly go up and down, think twice. However, at a price of just over 300, it's still quite reasonable for this area.

It's within walking distance to the pedestrian street and the 'Haochi Street' (food street), making dining, shopping, and taking the subway incredibly convenient. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were well-maintained. The elevators have a G floor, first floor, and a basement floor, which is very fitting for Chongqing's mountainous terrain – once you get used to it, it's very convenient.
Check-in was efficient, and the staff were friendly. The room's soundproofing was decent, so we had a peaceful night's sleep. Catching a taxi or ride-share from the hotel entrance is very easy, making travel hassle-free whether you're heading out for the day or catching an early morning flight. Traveling with a 6-year-old, our overall stay was very good, and it offers great value for money. If I come to Chongqing again, I would definitely consider staying at this hotel. The hotel's location is fantastic, right near Guanyin Bridge, making it super convenient to get around. The front desk staff were all very nice, and the room was spacious and comfortable.
