You can only check in at the hotel in the afternoon, even if there are empty rooms, they won't let you check in early. The environment is very good, it's basically convenient to walk to Zhonghua Street, and it's also convenient to take a taxi to other places. Taxis are often parked right outside the hotel, so you can catch one anytime. The hotel has a gym but no pool. If you haven't booked breakfast at the hotel, you can easily grab breakfast at the Lawson convenience store across the street.

This was my first time staying at Tokyu, and don't make the mistake I did by thinking the small reception desk at the main entrance is for check-ins – it's not. Check-in is on the second floor. When I first arrived with my child, I asked the ground floor staff if we could check in early, but they didn't mention that check-in was on the second floor. My child and I傻傻 (foolishly) waited until 3 PM to go to the ground floor reception, only to be told to go to the second floor. Once upstairs, there was a long queue, and we didn't get checked in until almost 4 PM. If I had known check-in was on the second floor, my child and I would have gone there to queue much earlier. The front desk staff don't speak Chinese, but the hotel breakfast is good with a wide variety. The location is also very convenient, directly connected to a mall and the subway.

It’s elegant old world with a doorman who greets you, comfortable sized rooms, a concierge and staff that offer friendly help for anything you need. The location is at a beautiful waterfront promenade near the cruise ships and behind it is an interesting Chinatown. There is a subway entrance in two blocks. It’s very reasonably priced. However, when I woke up in the morning, I was itchy and had signs of a tick bite, so the cleanliness was a minus point. The TV was full of Japanese programs, so I wish they would introduce something like Netflix or Amazon Prime so I could relax and enjoy movies during my hotel stay. I was able to listen to music via Bluetooth, but it seemed a bit behind the times. The breakfast, which I was looking forward to, had a limited variety and was average in taste. I had high expectations because I knew the regular price in advance, but it was quite disappointing. The restaurant staff's service was cheerful and gave me a Hawaiian feel. I also had the Kahala Hotel's popular Shin Pancakes, which were delicious. The Eggs Benedict, a signature Hawaiian dish, was *perhaps overcooked*, but the yellow color solidified and wasn't thick enough, and the sauce wasn't very tasty. Overall, I felt that it was a 5-star hotel except for the customer service, with everything else at a 4-star level. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

I usually don't write reviews, but the service at this hotel was truly frustrating. First, the environment and location are great, and the hotel facilities are new, clean, and tidy. However, when checking in, there were about 30 people in line in the lobby, and only three or four staff members at the front desk. The efficiency was incredibly low. One family of three seemed to be dealing with something for about twenty minutes. Then, they have a few self-service machines. A staff member led me to one of them, and even though there was a Chinese language option, they selected Japanese. I thought they were helping me, but after I entered my name, they just left 🫪🫪! Luckily, I know a bit of Japanese, otherwise, I would have been completely lost. What made me most speechless was after checking out. I stored my luggage and went out to eat. When I returned to pick up my luggage, my friend went to the restroom, and I sat in the lobby for a bit. Immediately, a female staff member came over and asked me what I was doing there. She asked if I was picking up luggage. I said yes, but my friend was in the restroom, so I needed to wait a bit. She then asked, ”How long?!” What's the deal? Can't I even sit in your high-and-mighty lobby after checking out? It was truly speechless.

I’m a big fan of the OMO series hotels and try to stay at one whenever I visit Japan. My stay at OMO7 Yokohama by Hoshino Resorts was pleasant. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only area for improvement would be the breakfast variety. I stayed for 2 nights, and the options were basically the same each day. It would be great to see a bit more variety for guests staying multiple nights. Also, I checked in quite late at night, and the hotel entrance wasn’t very obvious. It took me some time to find it. Clearer signage would be helpful in guiding guests to the entrance.

There's a grocery store on the basement level with super affordable sashimi and sushi. You can easily walk to the Red Brick Warehouse and Yamashita Park by the sea, making for a pleasant evening stroll. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, everything is delicious. Each floor has an ice machine and vending machines. For a hotel in Japan at this price point, the rooms are quite spacious, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's super easy to get to places like Kamakura, Odawara, or even Tokyo from here, and all the main attractions in Yokohama itself are within walking distance. Compared to the InterContinental I stayed at last time I was in Yokohama, this place offers so much more value for money; the InterContinental was triple the price for one night! It's also more cost-effective than staying in Tokyo, where hotels generally offer even less value. Highly recommend!

If you are lucky enough to get an upper floor room , the view from the big window is nice. On the basement there is a 7Eleven and just out of the hotel it is plenty of shops/restaurants

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right next to Chinatown, making it incredibly convenient for dining. The beds in the rooms are quite large, unlike typical twin beds. Although the hotel is a bit old, the cleanliness is decent. However, on our last night, around 4 AM, a drunk Japanese guest tried to open our room door. While they didn't succeed, it genuinely scared us. We immediately reported it to housekeeping, asking them to check the surveillance cameras. Housekeeping initially said the cameras couldn't see that area. Since it was still early morning, we decided to address it again at check-out the next day. When we checked out, we raised the issue once more. The front desk assistant manager, a woman named Junko, handled our complaint very seriously. Her English was excellent. I insisted that the cameras be checked immediately. When we returned from dinner, she confirmed it was a drunk Japanese guest. Regardless of whether that's true or not, I appreciated her positive attitude. Everyone knows Japanese people enjoy drinking, and I just wanted to bring this to the hotel's attention, hoping they'll take incidents involving intoxicated guests trying to open random doors seriously to prevent them from happening again!

very clean and safe even as a solo female traveler!! i do speak japanese so my experience might've been a little different but regardless, the staff always responded kindly and politely (even at night) no matter what i asked. also i liked that there's free cleaning every 4 days. the hotel is less than 10 minutes of walking to both kannai and bashamichi stations, and you can go to tokyo without transfers on minatomirai line from bashamichi station in just an hour if you wish you explore tokyo. if i have an opportunity, i'll definitely stay at this hotel again. the only slight issue there could be is the queue to washing machine as there's only two of them but for me personally it wasn't a dealbreaker so i had no problem waiting.

The hot spring facilities seemed a bit old, but they seemed well-maintained. The staff were friendly, and there was a shuttle bus to Yokohama, so it would be good to check in advance.

Overall, a pleasant stay. The bed is extremely comfy. Having three pillows is a plus. Compared to the conventional hotel in Tokyo, this hotel is relatively large for this standard. The view from the hotel is decent. It’s wished that there are washing machines available. One critical thing is that the room is quite dusty though… You can see the dust floating under the light at the entrance. As for the transportation, it’s around a 3-4 minute walk from Shin-Takashima station (an extra 210yen if you depart from Yokohama station). You can also walk from Yokohama station, but it takes around 15 minutes (and drains quite a lot of stamina if you are carrying your luggage around) The area around the hotel is quite modern but not overwhelming crowded (maybe there wasn’t a concert at KT Zepp Yokohama during my stay at the hotel). There is two 711 nearby and a small-scale food court as well. Other than that, there are not much to shop nearby. In a nutshell, a good hotel with a quiet but not intimidating ambience at night. A less dusty room would be highly appreciated. The location is good enough if paying a 420 yen-round trip everyday for one stop from Yokohama is not financially burdening to you.

Hotel was great, Comfortable bed. Good sized room. Breakfast won't win any awards but was serviceable. Ate one time at the Chinese restaurant, food portion for price was ridiculous. Was supposed to feed 3/4 people, I left feeling hungry. Staff were very apologetic.. Either drop your prices of increase your portion size. Sweet and sour pork (which wasn't great) with 6 pieces of pork for 2000yen.

I was traveling alone and stayed here for two nights. Initially, I was worried about the location and safety if I went home late at night, but after staying there, I realized the area is mostly residential with many working people; there were even people walking around at 10:40 pm! The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly to foreign tourists! I heard from nearby restaurants that this inn has been around for decades and has always had a great reputation 👍 The rooms are traditional Japanese style, which I recommend for those who want to experience a Japanese-style room. There's also an artificial carbonated spring, which I found very helpful for travelers who walk a lot all day! Finally, this is an inn I highly recommend. If you're traveling between Yokohama and Kamakura, the location is excellent! Thank you for the owner's hospitality; I will definitely come back again if I have the chance ❤️

The room was spotless, with three customizable lighting modes. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the shower was spacious and comfortable. You could pick up wonderfully scented bath salts from the lobby. Various amenities were also available in the lobby, though bath caps weren't provided (they offered small hair ties, but they might not work for very long hair). Breakfast was at ROYAL HOST downstairs, which I think belongs to the same group as the hotel. I looked it up, and it seems to be an old-school, affordable Western-style restaurant. The selection wasn't huge, but the food was delicious, and the curry rice was particularly satisfying! It's super convenient, very close to Yokohama Station!

I've stayed at different hotels in Yokohama a few times, and this time the Gizan Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The price was really affordable, and it's super close to both Chojamachi subway station and JR Kannai station. There's a Lawson convenience store right downstairs, and it's only a two or three-minute walk to the shopping street, making transportation and shopping incredibly convenient. Excellent value for money.

The hotel's location is great. It's about a 10-minute walk from Yokohama Station, and the surrounding area is lively with many small restaurants and large shopping malls. The room was perfect for a solo traveler; a 22-inch suitcase could lay flat. Since there was a concert on my departure day, I left my luggage at the front desk until 9 PM, which saved me from having to drag it back to Yokohama Station to find a locker. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a good experience – thumbs up to the ladies and gentlemen at the front desk!

Temperature in the room is terrible. There’s big note saying that temperature is central controlled and front desk will adjust for us. Unfortunately we were told it’s auto set for 24 degree in the end of Spring. They only can offer a table fan to cool us down. My hubby was sweating all night long. He was wet through the bed sheet. Very dissatisfied. No more coming back to Route-Inn. Can you imagine if it’s in summer, we will be toasted!!  Breakfast is good for variety. Like the time slot policy for breakfast and pick your own time.

Stayed here for a live show at K Arena. The room and hotel were both very clean. I felt safe during the earthquake as the disaster prevention center provided detailed explanations. I wish the amenities were a bit better. Despite having a separate bath and toilet, there were no bath amenities. It would have been even better if there were bath salts or body wash available.

Room is enough space for luggage, but bed is just nice for 2 peoples only. I am very satisfied the service they provided. There is really nothing to choose from when staying at Livemax during off-peak hours. People who are familiar with this brand should understand. This one also has a password lock, and you need to lock it when entering and leaving. It is only two blocks away from Kannai Station. Had a wonderful stay at Hare-Tabi! I don’t speak Japanese but the staffs were so helpful using body language + translator to make everything happen! Unlike other capsule hotels where you only have a bed size area to yourself, Hare-Tabi allows you with a bit storage/ leg room next to the bed! Not to mention about their free sauna service included in your package ! It provides the best relaxation before/after a day of exploration around Yokohama China town. You will find some quiet time to yourself using their services here. I’m sure you will enjoy the stay or even purely just the sauna service here!

Absolutely loved it! The 4.8 rating is well-deserved; this is hands down the best capsule hotel I've ever stayed in. The bunk beds are designed to create individual private rooms facing opposite directions, each with a safe, offering excellent privacy and security. Don't miss the massage chairs in the common area on your floor. Downstairs, there's a hot spring bath ♨️, and if you arrive late, you can book a private bath at the front desk – it's incredibly refreshing to enjoy it alone! After your soak, there's even ice cream available, which is fantastic! In the mornings, they offer free breakfast, and in the evenings, complimentary instant noodles. The location is superb, right in Chinatown, across from the Kuan-ti Temple, with countless delicious food options nearby. The front desk service is impeccable; all the staff are super nice. I'd love to come back and stay again. Highly recommended!

If you can find the East Exit 1, checking into the hotel is super convenient. Unfortunately, my sense of direction isn't great, and I ended up exiting from the regular East Exit. Remember to look for the North East Exit 1 to leave the station. I accidentally booked the wrong room type, but they were able to change it for a small extra charge. The location is excellent for shopping and dining, and public transport is easily accessible. Despite being right next to the station, it's surprisingly quiet, and there's a convenience store connected to the hotel. It's really great value for money.

This hotel offers excellent value for money. The only downside is that it's about a seven to eight-minute walk from Yokohama West Exit. So, if you don't mind the walk, it's highly recommended. The bathrooms in the rooms have been renovated, and there's a newly refurbished large public bath in the basement, which is very convenient to use. Especially in the twin rooms, you can easily open two 28-inch suitcases at the same time. The surrounding area is also very convenient with plenty of dining and shopping options.

And it's very nice to talk with the staff here, they're really cute and nice. And they would be really willing to give you some recommendations for Yokohama city. And this time I forgot to bring my charger and I borrowed the charger from them as well. Oh, you also can ask them to take a cute photo for you. I just personally really like those things. And remember to check their birthday book up, that's really nice to see each day the different birthdays descriptions. I'll be looking forward to staying there again if I visit Yokohama.

At the breakfast buffet, while I was away from my seat, another family tried to leave, and a tall male employee apparently said to my child in a voice loud enough for them to hear, ”Aren't you going to clean up?” It's a self-service buffet, but not a self-clean-up system, so it's unclear who he was talking to, but first of all, that kind of language is unacceptable. That's what my bright child said. My husband relayed what my child said to Cathy, and she apologized profusely. Indeed, that tall man was also inconsiderate and got in the way when I was filling my plate. I'm doing them a favor by using the self-service system, so at least he should be more discreet. Don't get cocky. I took the time to write this down, even though it's not helpful in any way.

What a great little find! Perfect price, perfect stay. The room is definitely teeny tiny BUT… the staff are friendly and helpful, there’s lots of toiletries to choose from on arrival, bakery items for purchase 24/7, sanitiser available on every floor, comfy bed, dressing gown and slippers…good breakfast buffet (though no hot selection for vegetarians other than soup). Bus and train within walking distance. Close to marina and a couple of great izakaya. Overall, just terrific.

Maybe because I booked early, I was able to stay in a spacious room on the top floor, even though it was cheap at 5,500 yen per person on a weekday. I was very satisfied! The location is also very good, as Shin-Yokohama Station and Yokohama Arena are both close by! One thing that bothered me a little was that there was a strange noise I'd never heard when I was in the elevator, which made me a little uneasy, probably because the hotel was built about 40 years ago. There were some parts that felt a bit dated, but it was well-cleaned and had a clean feeling◎

I stayed here because I was attending a Live concert in Bandori. Most hotels near Yokohama were booked, so I ended up staying in Shin-Yokohama. The transportation here is quite convenient, but JR trains between Shin-Yokohama and Yokohama are infrequent. The Live concert was at K-Arena, and taking the subway was more expensive than JR. The hotel is quite close if you exit from the JR station. If you're taking the subway and have a lot of luggage, you can exit from exit 9, which has an elevator to ground level. The hotel room was quite spacious; I stayed in a twin room. The front desk staff spoke good English, so communication was easy. I think there were also staff who spoke Chinese, as I encountered some in the second-floor restaurant. You need to swipe your card to enter the elevator on the first floor, and remember to take your room key with you when you leave the room. The room was as shown in the pictures. There was a desk with power outlets and charging ports, and also one by the bedside. Opening the window was a bit tricky as it had two locks; both needed to be unlocked to push it open slightly for ventilation. Initially, with the window closed, the room was as hot as summer in winter. It got better after opening the window for ventilation. The room had a private toilet and a separate washbasin. There was a bathtub, and the water pressure was strong, so it filled quickly. Soaking in the tub after the Live concert was very comfortable. The length of the bathtub was a bit cramped for someone 1.8 meters tall, but it was usable. The hotel Wi-Fi was available but the speed was quite average; I hope they can improve it. There were too few washing machines at the hotel, only two on the second floor, but they were inexpensive. When I returned in the evening, they were often occupied, so I had to wait. If clothes are left in the washing machine for too long, they will be taken by the front desk for safekeeping. There was also a public laundry room nearby, but I didn't go, assuming the prices wouldn't be as good as the hotel's. The hotel has sofas on the first floor where you can sit, but the common area seemed small, not as big as Toyoko Inn (like the one in Ikebukuro; there's also a Toyoko Inn next to this hotel, but I don't know its situation). There wasn't much space to eat bento boxes. The second-floor restaurant is only open for breakfast and requires payment. There's a water dispenser and ice machine next to the washing machines on the second floor. The room has a kettle, tea bags, and coffee sachets. Disposable toothbrushes and facial cleansers can be picked up from a cabinet in the lobby on the first floor; they are not directly placed in the room, which is something to note. Overall, this hotel is quite similar to most business hotels in China (like Hanting or Home Inn), but the rooms are slightly smaller. Considering the price, location, and cost of living in Japan, it's actually pretty good, especially for two people. The only drawback is the extremely limited number of washing machines. A budget hotel I stayed at in Osaka had six washing machines and dryers, so having only two here is definitely insufficient. I hope they can add more in the future.
