We stayed near here for a summer camp. The room was backlit, damp, and generally okay. However, we asked for hangers for 9 days and never got a single one! Friday night was incredibly noisy, it felt like there was a party right above our heads! On Saturday, we had an early start for a day trip, so we were forced to stay up late... That day was truly terrible. We called the front desk multiple times, but it was useless.

If youre looking for a sleek, ultra modern 5 star resort, this may not be for you. But if you want authentic Thai hospitality, traditional Thai-inspired architecture, lush tropical surroundings, and a peaceful beachfront escape, this resort is absolutely worth it. I stayed here as a solo traveler and had one of the most relaxing stays Ive experienced. Its also perfect for couples, honeymooners, and families. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view hillside cottage even though I booked one of the more affordable room categories. The private beach was the main reason I chose this resort and it was exactly what I was looking for, quiet, uncrowded, and perfect for relaxing. I also loved the petting zoo, the beautiful pool, and the delicious food. Every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming and genuinely helpful. Special thanks to Ms. Chuty and Ms. Kat at the front desk for making our stay even more memorable. They assisted us during checkout, kindly reminded us about a few belongings we had accidentally left in the room without ever making us feel rushed, and even allowed us to extend our stay until 12:30 PM, which we truly appreciated. Since our flight was later in the afternoon, they also arranged lounge access so we could comfortably wait in an airconditioned area until it was time to leave. Their kindness and thoughtfulness really reflected the genuine hospitality of the resort. I also appreciated the complimentary refreshments in the lobby, the beach bag provided for guests, the convenient buggy service, and the fact that ordering GrabFood was easy. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the TVs to Smart TVs. Other than that, everything exceeded my expectations. This resort may not be the newest, but it’s clean, wellmaintained, peaceful, and full of character. If you appreciate nature, privacy, and heartfelt service over ultra modern luxury, you’ll absolutely love staying here. Thank you Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa for making my birth truly a special and memorable. ♥️

I absolutely loved this hotel; my overall experience this time was truly wonderful! ❤️ The hotel staff were all very friendly, and the quality of service was excellent. Although we only found out after booking that the hotel's waterslide was under maintenance, and I was a bit worried the kids would be disappointed, the hotel was very thoughtful and provided an inflatable pool for the children to play in. The kids still had a fantastic time! I also have to commend the hotel's breakfast. The variety was incredibly rich with so many choices, and it was included with the stay at no extra charge, which was a huge plus. The shuttle service within the hotel grounds was also very convenient, almost always available on demand, making it easy to get around with kids or luggage. While it was a bit of a shame that the waterslide was under maintenance this time, the hotel's arrangements for service and alternative facilities were very sincere. The overall stay experience wasn't diminished at all. Great service, rich breakfast, family-friendly, and convenient shuttle – this is a hotel I would definitely want to stay at again! Highly recommended! 👍

A nice little hotel for a rest after a long journey! I chose this hotel with my child so we could quickly get there after a long flight. Our plane landed at 11 PM. By the time you clear passport control, get picked up, and take a shower, it's already 1 AM. This is a good option! The linens are clean cotton! There's hot water! A 7-Eleven and massage place are a leisurely 7-minute walk away. They change the linens, towels, and water every day. We needed two days to recover, and extending our stay was easy. The pool is clean. Breakfast is European style: omelets, sausages, ham, some Thai dish (chicken in sauce), rice, toast, croissants, jams, butter, coffee, tea, cocktails, juices. It's a perfectly good breakfast. The cost is 250 (baht, presumably). Of course, if you're used to staying in luxury hotels and have high demands, you might want to think twice. I've stayed in various categories of hotels, from four-star resorts to beach bungalows. I've been to places where they didn't change the bed linen. Here, it's clean, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and lovely! Everyone is ready to help. Everyone always smiles. Many reviews mention drawbacks, but I won't even discuss those. It's clean, clean, clean, and the staff are as welcoming as can be. It's a good place to rest after traveling, get used to the local vibe a bit, and acclimatize to the warmth! All user photos of the hotel are accurate; I'll add a few more myself :)

Facilities: This was our first time bringing our child to Phuket. We initially booked The Emerald in Karon, but then I read reviews saying that while it was new, the pool felt a bit cramped between the two buildings. So, I checked out more reviews and decisively switched to the established Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort, which has a more resort-like vibe! It boasts a super large pool water park, and there's even a dedicated children's area with a small water slide 🛝 for toddlers, which is fantastic! Cleanliness: As an older five-star hotel, the decor is a bit dated, so the rooms feel a little old, but overall cleanliness is quite good. There were no issues with small animals or anything like that, unlike some online reviews suggested. Environment: As always, I've attached pictures; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Service: The front desk service was excellent. We booked island hopping tours daily, and they picked us up at the front desk each day. On the first day, I was unfamiliar with the area and worried about finding the driver, so a staff member proactively helped us check our itinerary and contacted the driver via phone to clarify things in Thai! Thumbs up! One more thing I absolutely must mention: The Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort's location is arguably the most convenient in the Karon area. Right outside, there's a small commercial street with massage parlors, fruit stalls, Thai food, and seafood – everything you could want! Plus, turn right out of the hotel and walk just 30 meters, and you're at the stunning Karon Beach in minutes. There's also a 🚌 bus stop right outside that goes to Phuket Town, which is much more convenient than Centara Karon Resort Phuket!

I've stayed at this hotel many times, but this was by far the worst experience. I was traveling with my child and, due to a schedule change, I had to book two separate orders for different room types. I explained the situation to the front desk and asked if I could upgrade my room by paying the difference. The front desk lady, seeing the booking, seemed to sense an opportunity to make more money. She then rattled off a bunch of reasons to charge me extra for my child: an extra bed fee, an extra breakfast fee, and a room upgrade fee – totaling 5000 baht for four days! When I checked the app, I realized that for just a few tens of extra bucks, I could have booked a whole new room. The hotel's breakfast fee also shot up from 250 baht to 470 baht per person, with no significant improvement in quality. I really want to ask the hotel, do you have to be so obviously greedy?

A cozy, medium-sized hotel shaped like a cruise ship. The definite highlight of this hotel is the infinity pool on the rooftop, offering a fantastic view of the city and the sea, especially at night. A DJ entertains guests with music by the pool in the evening. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only downside for me was having a bathtub instead of a shower. The fridge only contained paid bar drinks. You can walk from the hotel to the beach, passing countless cafes, restaurants, massage parlors, and convenience stores along the way. There are several Russian-speaking channels on the TV. The price is reasonable. I recommend it.

The service was excellent. The staff kept the building clean, the breakfast buffet team was great and the atmosphere was amazing. The only things I didn’t enjoy was how understaffed the beach bar seemed because we had to constantly ask when our food would be finished because it was taking so long. I assumed it was understaffed in the kitchen. Ask the lobster bruschetta was not actually lobster, but shrimp. Unsure if it’s a language barrier thing or they stopped using lobster for it and just didn’t change the menu to reflect that. It tasted great, but perhaps the price would be different if it was labeled what it actually was. The room was so nice and clean! Cleaning ladies came by daily and every single person working there was unbelievably friendly and kind. I will most definitely go back just for the hotel alone! The hotel close to everything, including many different beaches. One thing to keep in mind, even though the hotel is on a beach front, you can’t swim in that particular beach, but they do have a pool on site! 10/10 🤩

For the latter half of our trip to Phuket, we switched to the Marina Phuket Resort, nestled between Kata and Karon beaches. Firstly, this hotel boasts a traditional Thai style, built on a hillside with a rich tropical rainforest vibe. Strolling through the grounds feels like being immersed in a romantic jungle. The architecture is distinctly Thai, and the landscaping offers beautiful scenery at every turn. What truly stands out is that the rear of the hotel connects directly to Karon Beach. Come sunset, gazing out at the horizon, the crimson twilight merges with the sea, waves caress the golden sand, and the dark cliff rocks add to a stunning, unparalleled view. You can walk along the soft, fine sand or enjoy playing in the water – it's perfect. Next door, there's a restaurant that hosts fireworks and fire-breathing shows in the evenings, so if your timing is right, you can enjoy them for free. Secondly, the hotel's service is generally attentive and gentle, very much in the Thai style – perfect for a relaxed, slow-paced vacation. Guests receive complimentary dinner daily at the Red Chopsticks restaurant right outside, offering a fusion of cuisines that's pretty decent. Breakfast is served by the pool, though the selection isn't extensive. Finally, I personally feel this hotel is better suited for older families or couples seeking a quiet retreat. For families with young children, there aren't many play areas, and due to its hillside location, it might be inconvenient for the elderly to move around.

We had a street-facing room this time, and the noise from motorcycles and tuk-tuks at night was so loud we couldn't sleep. If you're considering this hotel and are sensitive to noise, definitely avoid the street-facing rooms. The common areas are small, and the lobby was hot with no air conditioning. The staff lacked a service-oriented mindset; no one offered to help with luggage, and the restaurant staff were casually chatting amongst themselves. The room decor was a retro nightclub style, which I guess is a matter of personal taste.

Woody and the team at Bandara took great care of us. The staff were incredibly helpful with anything we needed from booking excursions to ensuring my sister’s dietary restrictions were catered for. The facilities were well maintained and the rooms we had were a comfortable size for us. Beds were also very comfortable.  Whilst Panwa is a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Phuket, it was the perfect relaxing escape for us. There are still plenty of eateries and things to do near by.  We honestly don’t want to leave! I’d highly recommend a stay at Bandara. We hope to come back again in the future.

Out of the four cities in three Southeast Asian countries we visited, this hotel was by far the most satisfying. We booked two standard rooms, and they upgraded us directly to sea-view rooms. Although they were partial sea views, they were still excellent. Seeing that we had a child with us, they even gave us a room with an extra-large bed, and the child's breakfast was complimentary. The only minor complaint is that some of the power outlets in the room were a bit old and loose. For the bedside outlet, we had to move the nightstand to access it. However, these are minor issues, and it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved our stay at Anana Ecological Resort Krabi! This was honestly one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The resort is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature, and perfect if you’re looking to relax. The highlight for us was definitely our Pool Access Room. My husband especially loved it because we could step straight from our room into the pool. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and felt very luxurious. It made our stay even more special. We were also lucky that the resort wasn’t crowded during our stay, so the pool felt almost private. It was so peaceful and we really enjoyed every moment. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely come back again. The service here is incredibly thoughtful; every staff member greets you warmly. The hotel's environment is like a massive jungle, making it easy to get lost at night, but the shuttle service is very convenient. You might encounter monkeys, lizards, and other wildlife – we even saw a snake one evening, so be careful! The hotel offers many classes, and the gym is open 24/7. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte, and I made sure to have a Thai milk tea every morning. For someone who loves natural surroundings, this place is absolutely perfect! The environment is good, and the location is excellent, right by the beach. If you turn right and walk about 100 meters, there's a small massage shop called OSCAR that's super good, cheap, and comfortable. It's also very close to the night market. The service was just okay, probably due to the slow-paced nature of the Thais. It took forever to check in, even though there weren't many people. The hotel only provides two bottles of water in the room, and you have to pay for more. Breakfast is mediocre and the same every day; there's absolutely no variety. I stayed for three days and ate the exact same thing for all three. The pool is decent. Special note: There are three Holiday hotels nearby. This one is called ”Holiday” without ”Inn” at the end, otherwise the driver might get confused.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The family room with two queen-size beds was not spacious. There was no room to place our four suitcases, except on the floor. A major disappointment was the outdated bedding, which had holes in it. I had one pillowcase replaced, but later saw tears/frays at the bottom of the sheet at the foot end and on the bath mat. I also saw a stain on the duvet cover. You should expect good bath and bed linen in any hotel. Therefore, I find the value for money to be insufficient. The air conditioning worked well but made a lot of noise. The large unit was on the balcony, and every time it turned on and off, you could hear it very clearly through the windows. Furthermore, our daughters had an unpleasant experience at the swimming pool. Many Indian guests with a Muslim background were staying at the hotel. In the pool, you mainly saw ladies and girls in long swimwear (burkinis). Our girls were sunbathing by the pool and felt very stared at by some men. One of them was on a FaceTime call and turned precisely so that the girls were in view. They also saw him talking and looking at them. This was the first and last time they used the swimming pool. The hotel's location is excellent. It's close to the boulevard with shops, the beach, many restaurants, massage and nail salons, laundromats, etc. A 7-Eleven is right next to the hotel's back exit. You can book tours at one of the many tourist agencies available. All in all, for the reasons mentioned above, we would not recommend this hotel.

A good hotel, but when choosing a room, you need to consider the view: it could be a limestone cliff, a pool, or mountains. We had a corner room with a large balcony, but the view of the cliff was spoiled by a huge tower and the back of some shops. The room itself was spacious, with a bar table and stools, a small sofa, and an armchair. I would note that the built-in air conditioner was not always easy to adjust, and in our friends' room, it was very noisy. I'd highlight the excellent breakfasts and the good, albeit shallow, pool. If I come back to Krabi again, I probably wouldn't choose this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It has a huge, green territory and two incredibly clean swimming pools. The rooms are spacious and spotless. Everything you need is nearby: cafes, bars, restaurants, and a 7/11 convenience store. I liked it so much that I extended my stay for another week. I highly recommend it to everyone. It's one of the best hotels in Krabi. 👍👍👍

It was a very nice stay, the room was very clean, the pool was great, the spa and access to beach was wonderful. We loved it. The location was wonderful right in the heart of all the action.Breakfast was ok, coffee machine only no barista. Could advertise a bit more about activities going on in the resort, we stumbled upon a fire show by chance that was happening at the beach area right as it was ending we didn’t make it.

First, the positives: the environment is lovely, the private villa is incredibly quiet with no noise, and the location is excellent, right on Ao Nang Beach. The room size is also very generous. The downside is that the front desk staff are incredibly inflexible. It's a real hassle to try and switch rooms or extend your stay in the same room, and communication is very difficult. If you stay at this hotel, you'd better make sure you don't need to interact with them at all.

I'd recommend at least a pool view room; standard rooms might be located above the restaurant. You can catch a longtail boat to Railay from just outside the alley, as Ao Nang's beach isn't very impressive. The massage place across from the hotel was the cheapest I found. Hotel breakfast was decent, though it didn't change much over four days, which was a bit annoying. The two 1.3m beds were quite large for Thailand.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The reception staff were friendly, attentive, and provided good service. However, there was a communication mix up during my stay, and I was disappointed that no apology was offered regarding the misunderstanding. Only one key card was provided for the room, which I assume may be due to the hotel's use of a higher cost key card system as a local brand. While understandable, providing a second key card upon request would have been appreciated. The rooms were well designed and visually appealing. However, one of the two rooms I stayed in appeared not to be fully prepared, as some decorative elements had been removed, which affected the overall presentation. Additionally, the air conditioner was a bit noisy, which slightly impacted comfort. On a positive note, the complimentary minibar set was a thoughtful touch and added value to the stay. This is a natural oasis. We were immersed in nature the moment we stepped in. The resort beautifully co-exists with its surroundings, which we absolutely loved. If you are booking, do keep in mind that the resort is built on hills, so you would need to wait for the shuttle to travel to and from different areas within the property. The room was extremely clean with no complaints at all. However, since the resort is located in the hills and surrounded by nature, there were ants and insects attracted to the lights, especially at night. Because of this, we could only really enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi during the daytime. There are also monkeys and monitor lizards around the resort, although I only spotted two monitor lizards during our stay. The in-house restaurant and pool were very good as well and added to the overall experience. The whole place feels very remote and peaceful — truly the kind of destination that helps you disconnect, relax, and heal.
