After a long journey, all you want is a comfortable and straightforward trip into the city. No complicated processes, no confusion, and definitely no dragging heavy suitcases through crowded stations. Fortunately, getting from Harbin Taiping International Airport to Harbin city centre is uncomplicated and traveller-friendly. Why Harbin’s Airport Matters

Harbin Taiping International Airport handles a significant number of passengers each year, especially during the winter peak when visitors arrive for the world-famous Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival. Prior to the pandemic, passenger traffic grew steadily as Harbin became more popular among international travellers.

Strategically located in Daoli District, the airport links Harbin with key cities across northeastern China. Its position supports regional development and provides smooth access for both business visitors and tourists. The airport is also well connected to the city via shuttle buses, taxis, private transfers, and ride-hailing services.

Harbin Taiping International Airport is continuously upgrading its facilities to support growing tourism demand. Travellers will find a clean, modern terminal equipped with automated check-in counters, efficient immigration processing, and convenient transportation links. Despite the extreme winter conditions outside, the terminal remains warm, comfortable, and traveller-friendly, ensuring a pleasant arrival experience for international visitors.

This hotel is perfectly located, just a 1-minute walk from Central Avenue and a 7-minute walk to Saint Sophia Cathedral. The neighborhood is packed with great food options. The Red Brick Street morning market is a 5-minute walk away and stays open until 11 AM on weekends (9 AM on weekdays). The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a magnificent, opulent décor befitting its century-old history. The soundproofing is also quite good. The garden-view bed was quiet and very comfortable. The main draw is its incredible convenience to Central Avenue, being right in the city center, and close to subway access. We tried several local restaurants nearby, including Shanhetun Iron Pot Stew, Laochujia Northeastern Cuisine, Tongheju Northeastern Cuisine, and Xiongdi BBQ… This is definitely a place I'd visit again. Traveling with seniors, it was so convenient to pop back to the hotel for a rest between sightseeing. The location is superb. The front desk staff even brought us afternoon tea, which was a very nice touch. Make sure to try Qiulin brand kvass, as the Xuexiong brand is a bit too sweet. And the Madieer popsicles come in a wide variety of flavors… If you're coming to Harbin, choose 1903…

Big shout out to front office manager Wang Jingwen and Xu Hongyue for their quick and efficient check-in process. Their warm smiles and helpful attitudes were much appreciated. The breakfast at Coffee Garden was as amazing and plentiful as always, and the pool lifeguard was very enthusiastic. All staff members were professional and well-mannered.

Both the surrounding area and the hotel's interior environment were comfortable and quiet, creating a wonderful ambiance. Honestly, I'm a bit reluctant to give a good review because the Executive Lounge here is just so subpar right now. And the loud noise in the morning was really annoying, though the duty manager did apologize and offered juice, a small gift, and a cute little tiger plushie, so I guess I'll let it go. Maybe it's the off-season, or they're cutting costs and boosting efficiency. But frankly, the Executive Lounge in Shenyang, also in the Northeast, was much better. I hope Harbin can really step up its game.

For guests with medical needs, the hotel's proximity to the pulmonary hospital is a huge advantage. Whether it's an emergency requiring immediate attention or accompanying a friend or family member for check-ups and treatments, it saves a significant amount of travel time and cost, making it convenient and efficient. Furthermore, being near a hospital often means there are accompanying medical facilities like pharmacies, making it easier for guests to purchase medications if needed.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right in the middle of Central Street, Harbin Station, and Saint Sophia Cathedral. There's also the St. Iver Church right next to the train station, which is another great spot to visit. The front desk staff were incredibly attentive and insightful, anticipating my needs and providing helpful assistance. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was very comfortable. I also appreciated the hotel's thoughtful little decorative touches. I would definitely choose to stay here again! 😎

Let's start with the positives: The room was very clean, so no worries about hygiene. The environment is nice, and it's convenient for getting around. The facilities are a bit dated, which is understandable. Now for the negatives: Most of the front desk staff were polite, but there was a lack of thoughtful consideration when assigning rooms. I was traveling alone with a very large suitcase and had booked a king-size bed room. The front desk asked if I was checking in alone, and I confirmed. However, upon entering the room, I found there was hardly any space to open and lay out my suitcase. I eventually had to prop it up against the bathroom door, which made getting in and out of the bathroom very difficult. When I called to request a larger room, I was bluntly told that the room I booked was this size. I was quite surprised; did they think I hadn't stayed in many hotels before, or did they genuinely not have any other rooms available? I hope the hotel provides better training in this regard, as communicating with guests like that is sure to lead to more complaints.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient for getting around. Sophia Church Square is less than 500 meters to the right of the hotel entrance, and Central Street is less than 500 meters to the left. The riverside and Flood Control Memorial Tower are also very close by. Most importantly, the hotel's cleanliness is excellent, and the bathroom layout is very practical and easy to use (my husband needs a wheelchair for the restroom). The service from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping was all very warm and thoughtful. We were genuinely touched. If we have a chance to visit Harbin again, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

The service was efficient; I asked for a razor and it was brought to my room immediately. The room was spacious and well-ventilated. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. All the facilities were beautifully arranged, and the hygiene was impeccable, making for a worry-free stay. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to transportation. The location is decent. If you're visiting Harbin during peak season, staying at a hotel outside the Central Street area like this one offers a more reasonable price. Right across the street, there's a good dumpling restaurant which is a plus. It's also convenient to call for express delivery services to send things home from the hotel. The hotel itself is quite old; the service, facilities, and room size are all pretty average.

The concierge service in the river view room was superb, even better than a five-star hotel. The breakfast was fantastic, surpassing five-star hotels with an abundance of delicious options. The best part is that breakfast is served until 12 PM, which is perfect for late risers like me. They even had ice cream and Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles! After checking out from the Ritz-Carlton Harbin, I came here. Although the room's hardware is comparable to a budget hotel, the service from everyone at the hotel was consistently excellent. We received a welcome gift before checking in and a souvenir after checking out – how many five-star hotels offer that? This family-friendly hotel is great, the European-style decor is beautiful, and from the river view room, you can actually see the river!

Facilities: There's a restaurant on the first floor that offers breakfast. The selection isn't huge, but it's perfectly adequate. The room was spacious and had a large window. There were no strange odors, and the bathroom was a good size with a separate wet and dry area. Ambiance: Clean and tidy, with lively decor. The signature Ibis red makes it feel warm and inviting. Service: The young lady at the front desk had a smile that could melt anyone (and I'm a woman!). She was a major highlight of the hotel – so enthusiastic and empathetic. When she saw my mom and I were sharing a bed, she proactively upgraded us to a twin room, which was also very spacious, and even gave us complimentary egg tarts upon check-in. Her proactive spirit and warm service made our stay truly enjoyable! 😀 Hygiene: The hotel maintained the usual Ibis standard of cleanliness. There was no hair on the room floor, and both the toilet and shower areas were excellent and very spacious.
