Sea Star Perfect resort. Perfect location. Perfect staff. Wonderful owner, ERIC, who has great PR 👍🏻. Staff is respectful and friendly. I cannot ask for more. Highly recommend Sea Star Resort. We bought a 3D2N Sea Star Resort package. It included a return transfer by van from Tawau Airport to Semporna boat jetty which took almost 1.5h, a 10-minute boat ride to Sea Star Resort, a whole day of island hopping and snorkelling, all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner 👍🏻), free usage of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear and unlimited supply of drinking water. The room is very clean and spacious- had a king size bed plus a day bed. Bath area was spacious and attractive. Really love this place very much. Look at the video I have attached! Air conditioned, good internet connection and extended balcony. Food is local buffet style. We enjoyed all our meals there. You will get an assortment of dishes. For dinner, you get good large prawns 🍤 and fish👍🏻. Tea is special- besides 2-3 types if local cakes, you get an endless supply of banana fritters which are very addictive 👍🏻 The sea water around the resort and beyond is crystal clear. You can always see the marine creatures in the water. From 4pm, use of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear are supervised. At 7pm check, we checked in to the Dragon Inn Floting Inn,Semporna, and chose an up-grade to larger Suite.. The end of pier was suggested being the ”quietest”. Cost quoted 780 Ringitts. But disconted to 640 Ringitts. I assumed the lovely Heritage room, spacious, clean, glowing wood, would be matched with a suitable bath room. No. A] Ony a dribble from the tap. B] No working shower...at all. C] Toilet flushed..once. D] Music from the Night market across a narrow waterway, meant noise didnt stop till 1am. E] At 7a.m. the noise of zooing outbards of many motor boats, was our , wake up call. I requested a significant discount for the sleepless night and inconvenience. Our jouney from Australia was 28 hours. Only 10% was offered. I do not recoomend this property for the above reasons. Positive aspect. At 8.30 pm Reception did call the Plumber. What in the world could he accomplish ? An alternative room was offered for use for a shower and toilet, grossly inconvenient at 4 a.m. when required. Booked this Inn2 because I couldn’t see any commitments on Sipadan Inn 3 or 1. It was okay for overnight. The first time I stayed there, it was a normal small room with window facing the street. However, when I checked in again a week later I got a room in the middle without window, even though I booked the same queen room. The location is not great, Inn 3 and 1 are at better spots in the small seafront town, easier to reach than Inn 2. Among the three, Inn 3 is the newest and, after a visit, I noticed it has better rooms with better facilities. Had WiFi in room at Inn 2, the bed was very basic and sheets not crispy clean, the shower was okay as well as the air conditioning. Semporna is a tiny town with most places within walking distance, though the narrow, car-lined streets are not that clean or tidy to walk through, especially if you carry luggage. From what I heard from other travelers, very basic facilities wherever you stay, so lower your expectations then probably all good.DariMYR 121

Booked through Agoda , roughly rm75++ per person per night which include breakfast, just no soundproof, we stayed at 3rd floor , can hear the band singing at night , and in the morning cat meow , loud music blasting . Breakfast selection ok , we joined the day trip tour by this hotel , rm263 per person for 2 days island hopping which is mabul & kapalai, the other day is bohey dulang , mantabuan island and sibuan island , the tour guides cum divers were helpful which was udin and nasim, the other day guide hutam was good 👍🏻 except one janggut guide was so into himself traveling and never really take care of us . Persekitaran: Terdapat McDonald's sejauh 200 meter. Saya makan di sana tiga kali tetapi tidak berani mencuba masakan tempatan. Ia terletak satu kilometer dari tepi laut dan mengambil masa lebih 10 minit untuk berjalan kaki.
Perkhidmatan: Kedua-dua kaunter penerimaan tetamu tidak boleh berbahasa Cina. Boleh berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggeris yang mudah.

這裏住在鎮上比住郊區好，郊區的民宿很遠要打車，晚上還有飛螞蟻，很多大自然動物的叫聲晚上睡覺會很吵的。這裡在鎮上很安靜，距離KFC不遠，外面街道很乾凈，裏面就算是公共洗手間也乾淨的，這裏比較多歐美的老外來住，主要是不貴！前台不會中文哦，簡單英文可以交流。缺點就是房間小，沒有窗，我定的明明上面寫着有窗的，他們説平台寫錯了，衹能給我這個。無所謂了倒也，後面住得還可以，二樓一層是吃早餐的地方，也挺乾淨，天天有兩個人打掃！如果下次，還會選這裏！DariMYR 61

Upon arrival at the airport, things just went downhill. My wife had booked a ride from Ocean Inn from the airport to their hotel prior to our arrival. Our ride never showed up even after my wife confirmed with the hotel staff. Called them and not one response after several calls. Great way to confirm everything and then leave your customers high and dry. We ended getting our own ride. Ocean Inn hotel is situated in a what I would consider a more or less slum area. I saw multiple locals finish their drinks and then tossed their trash over into the sea when there’s garbage cans just a few feet from them. There’s a lot of garbage sunken and floating in the water everywhere. Countless rats scurrying on the ground and roofs in broad daylight. The area reeks of sewage. When we checked in, the gal in the front didn’t like her job. No greetings. No smiles. No friendly service. Not sure if it’s a cultural thing that I’m misunderstanding. I felt like she didn’t want to help us. Never did. The entrance of the front desk had an overwhelming smell of mothball. In our room, my wife found strands of hair between the sheets and blanket. The room smelled mildewy. The restroom smelled like a heavily used public restroom. The shower pressure trickled. I just don’t know how some of these reviewers gave this place a 3-5 stars. Absolutely baffled!!! Overall, there’s little nice things to say about Ocean Inn except that the AC works well. I’ll let you readers run wild with your own imagination that I’m painting. 位置離碼頭有點距離，坐車到碼頭幾分鐘吧，附近基本沒有賣吃的，有啥需要的要在碼頭附近買好帶回去，但這樣就遠離嘈雜～前台妹妹很好，可以開車載我們去碼頭和吃飯的地方。老闆會講中文，有啥需要的可以電話和老闆順暢溝通！來回機場的車都可以和老闆直接預約。房間很大，雖然住宿環境一般，但便宜啊，整體住宿舒適感還可以的，重點是還有個院子可以曬衣服！！！跳島回來每天可以及時晾乾衣服，不用帶一堆臭衣服回家的感覺誰懂啊！！！DariMYR 104

This hostel is located very strategic and all the restaurant, pharmacy, mini market,etc is within the walking distance. The room was clean. It has hot shower, A/C, amenities, coffee and tea as well. It comes with drinking water too. Room not too big but not too small as well. The hostel doesn't have a lift. It has a common area for people to hang out and have some coffee and tea. The staff was superb. Her name is Fadilah if I got her right. She returned back my wallet which I lost it and she found it at the front door of the hostel. She saved my day. I must give her a two thumbs up for this. The wallet was returned to be as it was before it was drop at the front door table. Thank you Fadilah.
