The only issue with this hotel was the slow Wi-Fi. If you're staying here, you might need an unlimited data plan.
The entire hotel staff was incredibly proactive and attentive, and they could communicate in basic Chinese. We checked in around 3 or 4 AM, and all our check-in documents were already prepared for us, making the process very efficient. The lobby can help receive food deliveries and packages, and collection is also very meticulous and convenient.
The room space was ample. Although the facilities were visibly a bit dated, they were very well-maintained. There were quite a few mirrors, and when my friend expressed some concern about the room's decor, they promptly helped us adjust it. The bathroom had a slight odor, but it was within an acceptable range.

The hotel is located in the Sukhumvit area. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. During my first stay, the room was nice and well equipped with everything I needed, including large bottles of shampoo and body wash, a hair dryer, a kettle, tea and coffee, a wardrobe, and a small working area.
However, my experience during my second stay was not quite as good. There was a small hole in the door, which made me feel a little uncomfortable, although it was not possible to see through it from outside. The sink was also clogged. The staff were very helpful and immediately sent someone to fix it. When it could not be repaired, they kindly upgraded me to a family room.
Despite the issues with the room, I was very impressed with how the staff handled the situation and took care of me. The location is also convenient, with a 7-Eleven and several restaurants nearby. I would stay here again if I needed to attend a meeting in this area.

Baiyoke Sky, Bangkok – Luxury View or Old Hotel?
I perfectly understood what I was getting into beforehand. Baiyoke Sky is far from a new hotel, and you certainly shouldn't expect modern interiors and perfect comfort here.
But I was curious to stay specifically here – primarily for the view of Bangkok and the atmosphere itself.
🌆 Atmosphere
This is where the hotel truly has something to surprise you.
I think Bangkok is incomparable to other cities. It has its own inexplicable atmosphere – a bit heavy, humid, chaotic, but at the same time very captivating.
And Baiyoke Sky only enhances this atmosphere.
We also happened to be here during a period of heavy rain. It rained almost continuously for two days, the city was gray, partially flooded, and you could watch all of this from a great height through the window.
And, strangely enough, this is precisely what made the experience even more vivid.
🏙️ View
If you're choosing Baiyoke Sky for the panoramic view of Bangkok – this is truly a case where the view becomes part of the stay.
Especially in the evening and at night.
Plus, there are high-altitude restaurants right in the hotel:
Crystal Grill – 82nd floor
Seafood and grill buffet.
Jee Ho — 83rd floor
Bar with cocktails and city views.
And at the very top is the famous observation deck, from which Bangkok literally lies before you.
🍜 Infrastructure
Another big plus is the location and the fact that almost everything you need is nearby.
You can combine your stay, dinner, cocktails, and the observation deck without practically leaving the building.
For a first introduction to Bangkok, this is quite convenient.
🛏️ And now for the cons
And here I will be as honest as possible.
If you have extensive experience staying in good hotels in China, Baiyoke Sky might disappoint you a little.
After Chinese hotels, I've become very spoiled in terms of value for money.
China is certainly ahead of the curve here ☺️
Especially when it comes to small things like hair dryers. Girls will understand.
And it's not just about the hair dryer.
Pillows, mattress, soundproofing, room condition, a sense of freshness and cleanliness – all of this is no longer on the level of a modern hotel here.
So, if your main priority is to get a perfect night's sleep in ideal silence on a comfortable bed and have a modern room, I wouldn't choose Baiyoke Sky.

For me, Baiyoke Sky is not so much “a hotel for the sake of a hotel.”
It's more a part of the Bangkok experience.
Yes – if you want to see the city from above, feel its atmosphere, stay in an iconic place, and get a stunning view.
No – if your main criteria are a modern room, perfect silence, a comfortable mattress, good pillows, and impeccable cleanliness.

Stayed 2x weeks, it’s Located at 7-10 mins walks to Pom Phrong BTS, which is a big far in case of rainy days or at afternoon which could be scorching hot. In-room washer make the long stay very pleasant and convenient, so as plenty of drinking water provided. There is no scenery view from hotel due to its location. The breakfast is average , where in some days below average. I truly enjoyed almost daily their swimming pool and onsen, just the operating hours only start at 7am which is a bit late. If could start at 6am instead would be perfect, else it will be a bit rush after use , prior go to work at 8am. The services was excellent. I would rate it 4 star instead , gates by its location and breakfast spread/ food. Aside from this they deserve 4.5star. Will stay again in future if visit BKK again. Oya, there is mini Japanese grocery minimart below the hotel, provide almost most of daily necessities, if you need it. There is pharmacy and 7-11 in opposite road and Tops besides it. 1) Excellent service. They upgraded our room knowing it was our anniversary and even sent us dessert.
2) Housekeeping was very prompt, even cleaning twice. The first time was for general tidiness, and the second was for detailed touches (like laying out absorbent mats, etc.). My cosmetics were also neatly organized.
3) The room was very spacious, with comfortable bedding and a sofa.
4) They provided aromatherapy candles and other amenities, and someone even knocked on our door every evening to deliver facial mist.
5) High floor with great views.
Now, the cons:
1) Currently undergoing extensive renovation, so the public areas are very small. The hotel lobby entrance requires going through a narrow, cardboard-partitioned corridor, which looks undignified.
2) Due to the renovation, check-in was on the 19th floor, and the waiting time was extremely long. It was the longest I've ever waited to check in. Every time we returned to our room, we had to go to the 19th floor to switch elevators to the guest room area.
3) A bit far from the subway station. Although there's a shuttle service, it's hourly and requires advance booking, so we didn't end up using it.
4) The in-room facilities are indeed old. The showerhead was difficult to use, with low water pressure and couldn't be fixed in place.
5) The TV placement was puzzling, but we didn't watch it anyway.

Fantastic hotel! The service was incredibly attentive, everything was spotless and hygienic, and the breakfast offered a great variety. This time, we stayed in the newer section, which locals call Bangkok Ji. The advantage here is that it's only about a 5-6 minute walk to the BTS station; you just walk a few steps downstairs and you're there to catch the BTS. Overall, the hotel is quite large, but the downside of this particular section is that it's very close to a bridge, so if you open the balcony door, the traffic noise can be quite loud. For the first two nights of my trip to Thailand, I stayed at the Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok, right next to the On Nut BTS Skytrain station (you can find it on Google Maps by searching 'Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok').
There are various room types available. I opted for a room without a bathtub or a balcony, and I didn't book breakfast either. That's because on those two mornings, I had other plans:
* One day, I explored the old town's morning market.
* On the other, I had brunch at a nearby Burmese restaurant.
I checked in on a Friday evening and checked out on Sunday noon, which is a fairly popular time. The total for two nights was 4,919 Thai Baht (roughly 1:1 with NTD), and I got an additional 10% cashback by paying with my MEXC Card.

The two biggest advantages of this hotel are:
❶ It's very new, bright, and clean.
❷ Its location is exceptionally good.
It's super close to the BTS Skytrain station. You can walk directly from the skybridge into the second floor of a large shopping mall, then take the elevator down to the first floor, which leads straight to the hotel check-in. This means that even if you encounter a heavy downpour during Thailand's rainy season, you can calmly walk into the hotel without getting a single drop on you ☔️.
Furthermore, getting from On Nut to the city center is very convenient, as it's directly on the BTS Green Line. If you plan to visit attractions along the Green Line, you can ride all the way without needing to transfer.

* It's a decent size. There's enough space for a sofa and a desk where I can use my laptop (which I really need).
* It has good natural light.
* The shower has strong water pressure and sufficiently hot water.
The shower stall even has an electric roll-up privacy blind. When the blind is retracted, the bathroom instantly becomes transparent, which is quite intriguing (?). 😏

The hotel is not far from Nana station, about an 8-minute walk. Taxis can drop you right at the entrance. Downstairs is a bustling bar street, which gets very lively and congested after 11 PM. Everything was great, and the environment was good. Although it's a bit tucked away in an alley, there's a shuttle bus to the alley entrance, which is quite convenient! There's only one thing that wasn't so good: the soundproofing is really terrible. I'm not someone who's overly sensitive to noise, but the sound insulation is genuinely very poor! On the first night, I could hear the people in the next room chatting very loudly, and they continued until past 5 AM, making it impossible to sleep, so I left early! When I returned to the room on the second day, there were two Korean guys next door, making a lot of noise all night, constantly ”****” (explicit word removed), again until 5 or 6 AM. It was only on the last night that it finally quieted down. Besides the soundproofing, everything else was basically good, and the hotel staff were very friendly! This was my first stay at 130 Hotel, and I tested it out for a week. The room was very clean, the air conditioning was cold, and the fridge was large. It had a safe, and the bathroom was spotless with a separate wet and dry area. The sink area was very practical. There was a kettle and a hairdryer, but no toothbrush. It also had a square table and two chairs, which were very useful.
For shopping, there's a 7-Eleven to the left of the hotel, Lotus's to the right, and a CJ MORE supermarket further right. It was incredibly convenient! The breakfast restaurant was excellent, and the food was good too. I also recommend the small shop next to 7-Eleven; both the taste and prices were super. I only booked for one night. I checked in around 7 or 8 PM, and the front desk told me I had to check out by 11 AM. I couldn't understand why and kept asking, but they insisted on 11 AM. The next day, when I checked out at 11 AM, the computer screen clearly showed 'checkout 12 PM'. I was really angry. I booked this room for the infinity pool, but I didn't even get to take any photos there, which was a loss. It's also far from the subway. I would have been better off staying somewhere closer to the subway. It was very noisy at night; I could hear the motorcycles from downstairs.
