Adakah Rakyat Malaysia Memerlukan Visa untuk Melawat Australia?
Ya, bagi warganegara Malaysia perlu visa untuk melawat Australia. Untuk lawatan singkat (pelancongan/perniagaan ≤3 bulan setiap masuk), pilihan biasa ialah:
- Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) – Subclass 601
- Mohon melalui aplikasi “Australian ETA” sahaja.
- Caj perkhidmatan sekitar AUD $20. ( Caj perkhidmatan tidak boleh dikembalikan)

🗂️ Jenis Visa untuk Rakyat Malaysia Melancong ke Australia
Berikut jenis visa/permit paling relevan untuk rakyat Malaysia yang mahu melancong (atau lawatan ringkas) ke Australia:
Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) – Subkelas 601
- Untuk lawatan pelancongan atau perniagaan jangka pendek.
- Mohon hanya melalui aplikasi mudah alih “Australian ETA” (Android/iOS).
- Sah sehingga 12 bulan, membenarkan kemasukan berulang, maksimum 3 bulan setiap masuk.
- Terdapat caj perkhidmatan ~AUD 20 bagi permohonan melalui aplikasi.

- Tidak dibenarkan bekerja atau menerima bayaran di Australia

We stayed at Meriton Suites Kent Street and really enjoyed the location and apartment-style setup. We chose it mainly because it included a kitchenette, washing machine, and more of a home-style layout rather than just a standard hotel room, which made our three-night stay much more comfortable.
The location was excellent, close to Chinatown, making it easy to explore local restaurants, markets, and the seafood market, while still being within walking distance of Sydney’s main attractions and landmarks.
The hotel itself was functional and suited us well. We actually liked not having daily cleaning service, as it gave us more privacy and made the stay feel more relaxed and independent. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and we would definitely stay there again.DariCAD 178

This hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of Sydney, making it incredibly convenient to get around. You're just steps away from light rail, train, and bus stops. During breakfast, you can even look up and see the clock tower through the glass ceiling – a lovely touch! What I loved most was how spacious and bright the room was. Although it's simple, the design is very thoughtful and practical. The bathroom had hooks for bathrobes and a rod for hanging face towels (something most hotels lack!), a bathtub, and a full-wall mirror above the vanity. The wet and dry areas were separate, which is great. Outside the bathroom is a walk-in closet with a row of wardrobes, all with full-length mirrored doors. The hotel also provides ironing facilities, complimentary toiletries, slippers, and bottled water. All this comes at a really reasonable price, offering excellent value for money. The breakfast was decent too. There was a slight hiccup though: for two mornings in a row, there was drilling noise that woke my daughter up. After I brought it to the hotel's attention, they immediately moved us to the 30th floor. Overall, the service was very attentive. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Sydney.DariCAD 249

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the pier, tram, and subway, about a 7-8 minute walk, which also helps avoid noisy environments. The service staff are quite good, and you can get drinking water yourself in the hotel lobby. However, the bathroom sink is a disaster; when you wash your hands or face, water instantly splashes all over the counter. The shower drain is extremely slow; halfway through washing your hair, your feet are already submerged. You have to ask for toothbrushes; they're not provided automatically. Furthermore, the quality of the shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste is very poor, leaving hair dry and brittle after washing. The fireworks at Darling Harbour were absolutely stunning, and our room faced Darling Harbour directly. The kids basically lived on the balcony, doing homework, watching fireworks, and eating – they called it the best hotel of the trip. Personally, I found the room a bit small; once we opened our two 28-inch suitcases, there was no space left. Also, the lighting was a bit dim and lacked brightness. Breakfast was quite Western-style, good quality but with limited variety. The kids were quite sad when they realized there was no ice cream, no chocolate fountain, no dessert bar, and no self-service juice (compared to the Crown in Melbourne and Langham where we stayed). But as parents, we were thrilled! Less sugar intake, and the fruits and yogurt were excellent quality. The eggs used for omelets and Eggs Benedict were organic. The downside is that it's a bit far from the subway station, and the walk back to the hotel area at night felt a little dark. My biggest complaint is that in the morning, the kids left a cup on the breakfast table, and when we checked out, they wouldn't even look for it, claiming the breakfast bar staff had gone off duty. We are family of 4 staying for 3 nights. The location is superb & so much convenience. Can easily get light rail tram & all shopping and amenities just surround the hotel. Buffet may not the best but reasonable for the price. Customer service is friendly and approachable at anytime. The only downside is one of the lift is under servicing and only left 2 lift to service all room to 25th floor. Every morning we have to wait at least 15 mins to get in the lift. The hotel's parking is actually at a Wilson Parking lot. We were told that booking overnight parking in advance through the Wilson app would be much cheaper; we didn't pre-book and it cost us 67 AUD for one night.
If you're driving, you can navigate directly to Wilson Parking - Sofitel Wentworth, Sydney CBD, NSW Car Park. The car park entrance is on Blight Street, just behind the hotel's main entrance.
When you arrive, you leave your keys with the Wilson staff and they'll park the car for you. You pay when you pick up the car, and they'll bring it back out to you.DariCAD 230

Absolutely superb hotel. The location is obviously perfect, being just a couple of minutes from Circular Quay train station and on top of the wharf for ferries to everywhere as well as just across the road from the Royal Botanic Garden and a short stroll from the Sydney Opera House. The best hostel for solo travellers. I was a bit hesitant at first given that the only available room was the mixed dorm. However, the room is clean, quiet, enough space for luggages. A standard Langham pink, this hotel is super girly! We arrived early for check-in and were able to use the 9th-floor spa center to freshen up. Our room overlooked the Yarra River, and the view from the window was incredibly soothing. The 9th-floor pool is also a sight to behold; even though it was winter when we visited, the pool was wonderfully warm and heated at night. Downstairs, there's a whole street of restaurants and bars in Southbank, making dining and drinks very convenient. There's a place called Waterfront that I think is highly rated nearby, and I tried it out – it was pretty good. The toiletries are Diptyque, and the hotel bedding is incredibly comfortable. Disappointed with the customer service
The checkin experience was robotic, unfriendly and did not show any interest, care or effort to deliver a welcome.
The hotel itself is very nice, quality finishes and large rooms.
The property has a dedicated service elevator however the housemaids use the guest elevator for transit between floors without any smile, hello or care towards guests. It's also obvious the damage to guest elevator from cleaning carts.

We booked a King Standard hotel for this trip as we have the special rate from Trip.com. Before we arrived we received an email from Trip urging us to write an email to ask for early check in as we also booked an airline ticket thru Trip. When arrived in hotel ard 9.45 am we were offered a room ( with immediate availability ) but with a payment of AUD 50. When I asked for a twin bed room as usually King and Twin Bed will have same rate, but not this hotel. If we were to change the bed style we have to pay AUD 30/night for 5 nights 😅😅another AUD 150. Enough for all the morning communications so we just ignore the bed details and went straight to our room after the payment. On the day we checked out we came to know that the front officer recharged our hotel fee even when Trip.com confirmed that everything was fully paid.
What a money maker hotel!! Front officer told us they will refund us the amount though.
However the room is small and nice and everything was up to international 4 standard but Crown Casino Tower has a much more beautiful and bigger room. Though both have stunning nice view of the Yarra River as in attached.DariCAD 173

When we arrived, we had an issue with our room—the balcony door wouldn’t lock, and the balcony was somewhat accessible from other apartments. Concerned for our belongings, we asked if we could change rooms. The front desk staff were extremely accommodating and kindly offered us a free upgrade to a higher-floor, two-bedroom apartment.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the new room, the second bedroom was locked and inaccessible. We didn’t bother raising it as we hadn’t booked a two-bedroom apartment and didn’t really need the extra space. However, we are starting to feel that the rooms are becoming a bit... dated. There’s often a musty smell when we check in, and this time, we found someone else’s socks in the dryer—after drying some of our own clothes, which wasn’t pleasant.
A little more attention to cleaning between guests and ensuring faults are properly addressed would go a long way. Sadly, this experience has left us considering other accommodation options for our next stay—something we wouldn’t normally do, as the Oaks’ location is fantastic! That said, I want to reiterate that the front desk staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating.DariCAD 126

It seems the room has not been cleaned thoroughly. There is still dust in several areas, and the kitchen , oven and refrigerator do not appear very clean, as if they were not wiped properly. It also feels like the cleaning was done a little hastily, as I had to request garbage bags, dish soap, and cloths from reception. Service was fabulous. Leslie was absolutely wonderful to deal with, a joy. The apartment was a great layout with everything you need for a short stay. First of all, the hotel does not have a reception desk. You need to contact the service staff to check in later or soon. If you don't speak English well, do your homework in advance or choose another room.
Geographical environment: 8-10 minutes walk to crown business district (take a 6-year-old child). The Crown business district is full of food, shopping and casinos. There are many supermarkets in the downstairs for a minute or two. You can buy food and cook, and provide daily living supplies. Very convenient.
Room facilities: The hotel is a bit like a homestay. In a comprehensive apartment. You need to swipe the magnetic card to get in and out, which is relatively safe. The overall space is large, but both bedrooms are 1.5 meters small beds. The kitchen has pans, cutlery, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a dishwasher. But there is no seasoning. Cooking a light meal should be OK. Due to the folklore nature, there is no daily cleaning service. There is a swimming pool in the building.
Parking charges, $ 25 a day. Just come in and out. Friends who drive are highly recommended. City parking is too expensive. It's a good deal to take a taxi.
Disadvantages:
1. Give Ctrip. When booking, it was not marked clearly, I thought there was a hotel with a front desk. Stupidly arrived and found out that it was a homestay type. The current homeowner couldn't get through to the phone, and there was no place to stop and jump straight. Later, the host came and said that Ctrip only told us to check in at 5 o'clock, and did not give the host the contact information, so he was not prepared. Check-in at five is my time for Ctrip, but we flew from Brisbane, that is only approximate time. If Ctrip protects my personal privacy, I will not give the owner contact information, but at least I have to contact me Tell me how to check in, let me contact the owner in advance! !!
2. The overall health of the room is ok, but the smell is really bad. It feels like a guest cooking too much. Hope you can do a good job of ventilation.0 Ulasan

A) Mohon ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) – Subkelas 601
- Semak kelayakan & sediakan pasport (masih sah).
- Muat turun aplikasi mudah alih “Australian ETA” (iOS/Android). Semua pemohon ETA wajib guna app ini.
- Sediakan telefon dengan kamera + NFC & lokasi diaktifkan, serta e-mel aktif (disyorkan oleh Suruhanjaya Tinggi Australia di KL).
- Isi butiran dalam app, imbas pasport & swafoto mengikut arahan.
- Bayar caj perkhidmatan ~AUD 20 dalam aplikasi (tiada “visa application charge” berasingan untuk ETA).
- Terima keputusan secara digital – ETA dipautkan kepada pasport anda; tiada pelekat visa.
ETA lazimnya sah hingga 12 bulan, kemasukan berganda, maksimum 3 bulan setiap lawatan.
B) Mohon Visitor Visa – Subkelas 600 (jika tidak layak ETA / perlukan tinggal lebih lama)
- Pilih aliran yang sesuai (contoh: Tourist stream (outside Australia) atau Business Visitor).
- Cipta/Log masuk ImmiAccount dan mulakan permohonan atas talian.
- Sediakan dokumen sokongan (pasport, foto, bukti dana, itinerari, surat majikan/cuti, undangan jika ada, dsb.) mengikut arahan di laman Home Affairs.
- Bayar yuran yang berkaitan dalam ImmiAccount.
- Biometrik (jika diminta): anda akan terima surat arahan biometrik; tempah janji temu di VFS Global Kuala Lumpur dan hadir untuk cap jari & foto.
- Pantau mesej dalam ImmiAccount untuk sebarang permintaan maklumat tambahan & keputusan. Visa (jika diluluskan) dipautkan secara elektronik kepada pasport anda.

- Jangan beli tiket/tempah hotel tidak boleh dikembalikan wang sebelum visa diluluskan. (Amalan selamat semasa memohon.)
