Hotel Dengan Gim di Chanthaburi, Thailand

This hotel was very good, nice room with balcony looking out to the sea, good staff and great breakfast buffet, alas, no bacon. Good food at the beach front restaurant. We stayed in one of the front buildings near the pool, modern and clean, most rooms have adjoining rooms with two doors, this can be a pain with kids in the next room opening and closing the door. Water pressure was not great. The beach area surrounding the resort was the biggest let down, in all my travels around Thailand's coastal areas, Chaolao Beach area was the trashiest and dirtiest beach I have seen. If your expecting pristine beaches with palm trees swaying in the breeze, you will be very disappointed. I would recommend this hotel for a short break, however, not for the beach.

Perfect location to explore Chanthaburi, very clean hotel, comfortable bed and plenty of hot water, would stay happy stay again. Good local night markets for street food and cheap clothes as well as modern shopping malls with airconditioning.

Newly opened hotel with really nice style, clean, good location, comfortable and helpful staffs. Room is well decorated, bed also good. I love their hand wash so much and bought it back as well. As the hotel has nice style and decoration, you can take photo everywhere. I will be back again with longer stay.

Started with the reservation, staff very helpful to complete my booking and other requirement. The room was clean and very comfortable, also well maintenance as well as good Wifi. The topnotch for this hotel would be a quiet, peaceful and beautiful river view that you can be enjoyed from balcony. Breakfast can choose one from three with a la carte menu and some snack on buffet line. The convenient location as not far from tourist attraction.

We stayed 1 night while on our way to Koh Chang. The location of the hotel (a rundown soi at this moment) does not suggest a ”Boutique” experience, but in fact it was a nice overnight stay. Very friendly staff at reception. We took a room with river-view and balcony. Room was very spacious and all facilities in good working order: enough power-outlets, bedside lights, excellent rainshower. Only thing not working properly was the (small) fridge. there is a nice new promenade that runs alongside the river (accessible from the nice hotel garden), but if you follow it in the direction of the bridge (city-center) it's a dead-end and you need to exit by going back to the hotel or cross a building site. Other side of the bridge is a busy nigh-market with lots of food-stalls, but I recommend the Japanese restaurant on the right side of the road just before you cross the bridge (around the corner of the Robinson Shopping Cr). Excellent japanese food and just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast (buffet) at the hotel can be taken in the garden. All in all a good deal.

โรงแรมอยู่ชานเมืองออกไปทางท่าแฉลบ เงียบสงบ บรรยากาศดี ไม่วุ่นวาย ห้องพักกว้าง สะอาด มีน้ำดื่ม และกาแฟให้ในห้องพัก มีเสื้อคลุมให้ด้วย ผ้าเช็ดตัวสำหรับลงสระ และผ้าเช็ดตัวปกติ กลางคืนมีโอวัลตินร้อนเสริฟให้ทุกห้องค่ะ อาหารเช้า เป็น set มีให้เลือกล่วงหน้าในวันเข้าพัก พนักงานอัธยาศัยดี สุภาพ ให้บริการดีค่ะ

ที่พักดีมากค่ะ พนักงานต้อนรับถึงแม้ว่าจะไปค่ำแล้วก็ยังต้อนรับดีมาก ที่พักสะอาด ราคาดีมากๆ แต่ไม่ชอบห้องน้ำค่ะมันต้องลงบันไดลงไป ไม่มีไดรท์เป่าผม (แต่ส่วนตัวคือพกของตัวเองไปอยู่แล้วแต่ถ้ามีจะดีมากค่ะ) แต่ที่ชอบก็คือสามารถไปเล่นสระของที่พักอิ่มสุขได้ค่ะ อันนี้แฮปปี้มากๆค่ะ ไม่แบ่งชนชั้นการจองของโรงแรมดี มีโอกาสจะกลับไปพักอีกแน่นอนค่ะ 😊😊😊 บรรยากาศสวยทั้ง2ที่ค่ะ แอร์เย็น 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

My wife and I stayed 3 nights from December 30th. Positives first, we had a pool access room which was great, the pool was very good and the resort generally good. Nice beach which they appear to clean which should be mandatory for all beach hotels, but so few actually do. The negatives are all food, beverage and service related. Breakfast generally was very poor, my omelette on the first day was cooked by a girl who was clearly being taught on the job, it was awful. On NY day we received a call in the room saying breakfast was extended from 9.30 until 10 am, we got there at 9.35 and both the Omelette station (yes i was prepared to try again) and Fried Egg stations were closed so we could not get either. I was offered 2 fried eggs both of which were stone cold. On our first night i bought their last bottle of a particularly good Red wine (THB2100) we wanted on NY Eve to go with a Steak we had seen on the menu. On NY Eve at 7.30 pm the wine came to the table to breath and we shortly afterwards tried to order, Starting with the Steak, this was sold out, we then tried to order 4 other items which would go with the wine, non of which they had. We ended up with a Chicken dish which neither paired well with the wine or tasted nice. Whilst there were some senior staff, many were no more than children, and whilst polite, they had no idea of service. Trying to order a vodka and Coke was a particularly interesting experience. No Gin and Tonic and only 2 Beers to choose from. I place no blame on the young staff, the blame is entirely aimed at the management and whoever is responsible for teaching them, or not in this case. Yes it was New Year and yes it was busy but that is no excuse whatsoever, this wasn't the first NY Eve the resort has had. To add insult to injury on checkout they charged me THB 120 for a glass they say was missing from the room. We never used the glasses the entire stay, so it was clearly missing to start with, i had no appetite to argue so just paid it and left. So many good hotel restaurants along this beach such as Taosong Beach, so will not be visiting here again.

Lovely hotel with a reasonable price, we stayed during Songkran (Thai new year) So it was quite full and the price was full. This is ok especially to support traveling business in Thailand which suffer from Covid 19. The Hotel is on the beach area, very nice and easy to go to many tourist place around... Not in the city of Chanthaburi though. We arrived a bit early before 2 PM. So we did check in and went for a lunch. When we backed at 2.30 our room was not finished, we waited about 30 mins... The internet was not working the whole time, none of our friends in 4 different rooms can access to the internet, we told the staff and nothing they can do.. The breakfast was horrible. The staff only chatting and not looking what are short to fill it up.... milk, bread etc.... our friends went at 9.40 am and there were nothing left at the breakfast... There are no supervisor to manage and to talk to the guests. We asked the room to be cleaned, and one of our friend room was not cleaned. Our room was near the artificial waterfall, so we had so many mosquito inside the room. Quality of the bed is OK. One of the good thing is the cafe by the beach which let us drink and corkage charge only 200 THB. I would not go back nor suggest anyone to go until they improve what I address.

Situé à Chao Lao (et non à Chanthaburi), les chambres sont situées dans un jardin agréable. Pour aller à la plage, on traverse le jardin, un petit pont romantique et une minuscule route où ne passe personne. La plage est très tranquille, nature, longue et très sympa. Il n'y a pas de touristes et aucun étranger (je ne sais pas comment ç'est hors période covid, mais Chao Lao a l'air d'être fréquenté uniquement par les thaïs). Les chambres sont assez grandes et bien conçues. Le petit déjeuner est varié (nous avons apprécié les oeufs en forme de coeur, gentille attention pour le couple que nous étions). En résumé, un très bon séjour avec un personnel très gentil.

สถานที่ของโรงแรมใหญ่ ร่มรื่น จัดสวนสวยมากเลยค่า ห้องสะอาด ที่นอนดี หลับสนิท(ไม่รู้จากเหนื่อยมากหรือเปล่า) ห้องน้ำ และอุปกรณ์เครื่องใช้อาบน้ำดีมากเลยค่า ไปพักในโอกาสที่ไปไหว้พระธาตุบนเข้าคิชฌกูฏ คะ กลับมาทุกคนน่าจะต้องใช้สบู่อละแชมพูเยอะมาก เหงื่อโชก และฝุ่นมากมายคะ ถ้าเป็นขวดเล็กๆแบบโรงแรมอื่น สงสัยคงต้องขอเพิ่ม เพื่อใช้คนละ 2 ขวด อย่างน้อย เพราะผมน่าจะต้องสระอย่างน้อยคนละ 2 รอบกว่าจะสะอาด แต่โรงแรมให้มาทีเดียวขวดใหญ่ หอมมากด้วยคะ แต่มีข้อเสนอแนะดังนี้คะ ทางเข้ามาถึงโรงแรม ถ้าวิ่งตาม google map คือพาไปทางเล็กมาก โดยเฉพาะกลางคืนไม่มีไฟถนน น่ากลัวจะเกิดอุบัติเหตุมากด้วยคะ (คือทางกลุ่ม กว่าจะเดินลงมาจากพระธาตุก้อ 4 ทุ่มแล้วคะ) ทางกลับถึงกลับกรี๊ดมืดมากไม่มีไฟ ถ้าทางโรงแรมมีแนะนำเส้นทางกับลูกค้าที่มาพักจะดีมากเลยค่า แนะนำว่าทางใหญ่อ้อมกว่าเยอะมากจริง แต่สว่างและกว้างกว่ามากคะ และอีกเรื่องคือ อาหารเช้าอร่อย และมีปริมาณพอเพียงนะคะ แต่ขอให้ปรับปรุงเรื่องการกำจัดแมลงหน่อยนะคะ แมลงวันให้ห้องอาหารเยอะมาก จานไหนเปิดวางไว้ไม่มีที่ปิด เช่น พวก ผัก ผลไม้ ถึงกลับไม่กล้ากินเลยคะ กลัวน้องแมลงวันตอมไปแล้ว และอีกเรื่องคะ พนักงานประจำห้องอาหาร น่าจะต้องไป เรียนรู้เรื่องการให้บริการเพิ่มเติมนะคะ คือ ไม่สนใจลูกค้า เอาแต่นั่งเล่นโทรศัพท์

บรรยากาศธรรมชาติเหมาะแก่การผักผ่อน มีอาหารเช้า เด็กๆ 4ขาน่ารักมาก น้องน้ำหวานน่ารักปุ๊กปิ๊ก
