Me and my friends have just come home from this hotel, a six day holiday. The hotel was in an excellent location for shops bars and restaurants of which there was a fantastic choice, something for everyone and all reasonably priced. The hotel was on the beach so great views of the sea and sandy beach. The hotel was spotlessly clean, light and airy with a large outside terrace where you could have breakfast. Our room was good but in the bathroom there was not a great deal of shelving or hooks to put toiletries on or to hang up towels, no extractor fan which meant it turned the bathroom into sauna. Beds were comfy. However the tea and coffee wasn't always replenished and we had to ask for more milk and sugar several times. Unfortunately we found the majority of the staff, surly and unhelpful and on our first evening after arriving on a late flight we ordered drinks from the bar. Suddenly the lights went out and everyone was sat in the dark. The bar closes at 1.00 am but it would have been courteous for the barman to advise us of this instead of just going off. Everything seemed to be an effort, it takes nothing to be pleasant and smile. On leaving not one member of staff asked if everything had been OK and had we enjoyed our holiday. Whilst we had a fab holiday the hotel felt very flat with no atmosphere. Protaras is a great resort, well worth visiting.

We spent just under a week at the Atlantica Aqua Blue in October 2024. Although this was close to the end of the high season, the hotel was still busy but not hectic. Our room was lovely, spacious and well-maintained. It had lots of storage and all the necessities. The only exception was an iron, for which you have to ask at reception. Housekeeping kept everything clean and topped up. When we did need a repair, it was dealt with within a few minutes. We stayed half-board, and breakfasts and lunches came with lots of options and were always excellent. All of the staff in the dining room were friendly, helpful and willing to stop and chat. Particular mention must go to Andreas who was funny, great conversation and who went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out. There was entertainment on every night we were there (either at 9pm or 10pm): the acts were always enjoyable and a nice way to pass part of the evening. The hotel is well-located. On the same side of the road as the hotel, buses 101, 102 and 711 will take you to Ayia Napa (the stop is less than a minute's from the hotel). From the same stop, bus 102 will take you to Konnos Beach and Capo Greco (less than 10 minutes). Capo Greco is well worth a visit: you don't need to be a hiker to be able to get around and the views are stunning. From the same stop, bus 711 will take you to Larnaca (approx 1 h 45m). If you're going to Ayia Napa, visit the sculpture park - great sculptures and a great view of the sea and the town (especially at sunset). From across the road from the hotel, buses 101. 102 and 711 will take you to Protaras (approx 10 minutes). The town is a bit touristy, but nice enough, although the beach is definitely worth a vist. The beach is about half an hour's walk from the hotel, and the walk will eventually take you into the town. At the time of writing (October 2024), a single journey by bus is 1.5 Euros and a day ticket is 5 Euros.

We arrived at the Blue Ivy a week ago. We have been fortunate to stay in some really fantastic hotels in our time but this hotel with its amazing staff takes 1st place. Reading reviews (we booked because of these reviews) before arriving I thought it couldn’t be possible to have consistent 5 star reviews. Now we are here I can absolutely see why and will give 5 stars also. At the heart of this lovely hotel is the general manager Nikos. He is the most warm, welcoming, kind hearted and professional manager I have ever had the pleasure to meet and it’s sincere and genuine not just for show or to get good stats/reviews. He leads by example and it shows. Nikos knows all his staff and takes pride in them which I really love - their well being is clearly important to him too. . Whilst you are in “his home” he will introduce himself and you will always see him around - not just smiling and welcoming but getting stuck in with anything and everything - that is special. My husband doesn’t have great health but whilst here I know that anything we could possibly need or want would be catered for and supported which helps a lot. Keep doing what you do so well Nikos and your amazing team. We will be sad to leave tomorrow but hope to return again one day,

This hotel is lovely, it was very clean, the room was good with everything that was needed including robes and slippers. Lovely high powered shower. We had twin beds pushed together with separate bedding but wanted one bed with one set of bedding. We requested this after our first night and it was sorted that day without bother. The food in all of the restaurants and buffet was always good, only once had lasagne in the Italian which had pretty much no meat in it but apart from that you could not fault any of it. The staff were really nice, especially Charlotta who greeted everyone with a huge smile, she was especially helpful and friendly a real asset to the hotel. We stayed on half board basis which we would probably change to B&B on any return visit only because the drinks at the hotel are pretty steep, much cheaper to drink in the bars and restaurants on the *****. We like wine with our meals and found it very expensive having it with our meals in the evenings. Location for night time entertainment was great literally on the doorstep. The beach at fig tree bay which the hotel is situated on is just lovely, soft sand from beach right through walking down through the water to swim, play games or do water sports. Beautiful clear sea, as good as we have found in the Maldives just perfect. Would recommend definitely

Lovely hotel, amazing food and fantastic staff. Would definitely go back. Relaxing pool area great location one minute walk to the beach and short stroll to the towns bars and restaurants. Couple of negatives the pool and restaurant toilets are a bit of a hike and please supply more vegetables on Roast Night.
