Just returned from 10 days at the Vista Sur apartments. Lovely modern accommodation & right on the beach. Super clean & modern. All the staff we dealt with were friendly & very helpful. Loads of shops, bars & restaurants nearby & a 30 second stroll to the beach. Would highly recommend. They even delivered a bottle of Cava on my birthday & another bottle & some sweet treats for Christmas - such a lovely surprise. It’s the details that matter! Will definitely be back.

OMG if your looking for an adults only hotel with a bit of class and relaxation then look elsewhere... this felt more like an 18-25yrs holiday camp! advertised on EasyJet as 4star it most definitely isn't and just seen is classed as 2 star... even that is generous. yes rooms were clean and modern apart from some ants in the kitchen that we quickly rectified, the kitchen wasn't cleaned properly from previous guests so once we cleaned we didn't have an issue. no air con, but you have a ceiling fan that if you wish cold air you'll need to listen to the clink clink clink of the cord hitting of the fan or ceiling!! no glass at poolside for H&S.. fab!! but that doesn't include the young team, staff don't want to challenge as it causes a fuss... so rules for decent guests and another set of rules for the young ones! The noise of music from around 8pm-1130pm before they went out wasn't an issue i get it we are on holiday.... but to stagger home, back out on balcony and tunes blaring from around 3am-8am is just not on!! adults only hotel so no inflatables or balls in pool and no music at poolside... boring!! think the lifeguard on duty just wanted to have his nose in his phone for the full shift, pick up a few plastic tumblers and have an easy day... in this pool you were only allowed to get wet! some of the cleaning staff were pleasant, night porter not so much, maintenance man helpful and pleasant but the lady behind the bar/food area ooft don't cross her... no problem with getting a sunbed they had plenty as not many stayed around a pool all day with no music or fun allowed, pool doesn't open till 10am 10 days too long and i wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

I am absolutely gobsmacked at some of the negative reviews for this resort. Currently here with my husband and 3 children. My anxiety was through the roof worrying about what the resort was going to be like due to reading these reviews after booking but prior to going. I don't no wether everyone else is just beyond ridiculously picky and looking 5* benefits for 3* prices, but I really couldn't fault the hotel. Food is very versatile and caters for everyone. Meats of all kinds, salads, kids options, chips and potatoes, breads and your choice of pastas. Choices of deserts and ice creams. Selection of drinks alcohol and non alcoholic. Rooms are very clean and cleaned regularly. Beds are very comfy. There is 4x pools 2 of which is kids pools along with a kids park area. There is activities all day long. And the snacks in-between meals are again versatile and all the food we have eaten so far is delicious. Staff are beyond friendly and accommodating. Shop on site and the hotel is within walking distance of beach and main shopping areas. It has been above our expectations due to what we thought we were heading into due to such ridiculously poor rated reviews from picky abnormal people. In future don't bother reading these they are completely not true.

We arrived 30th July for a week and were in Block 4, behind reception. Room wasn’t ready but they kept cases behind reception. Lovely, friendly staff. Found an Irish bar round the corner called Hole in the Wall and reception phoned when the room was ready. We booked a Superior room, self catering with a pool view. Room clean, modern and spacious with loads of storage. A little disappointed that we didn’t have a private balcony, people walking past, but no issues. There was a comfy sofa on the balcony. The door from the balcony is the only access in and out and a bit fiddly until you get the hang of it. Safety deposit box €15 a week plus €6 refundable deposit on departure. No AC but fans in the living room and bedroom, although noisy so had to switch off in the night. Wish we'd ordered an air conditioning unit as night time was unbearable for sleeping some nights. Bathroom was extremely hot. We found cockroaches in the bathroom on 2 mornings, but after leaving the light on all the time we never saw anymore. I would advise taking an extension lead as sockets are in the middle of the walls with no surface below, except for the sideboard with the lamp. Kids loved the kids poll with canopy, and preferred this to the main pool as it was 1.3metres all the way round, and even came up to my chin stood on tip toes. Hotel supermarket was cheaper than the one outside, but bear in mind it closes at 7PM! Great location, close to the beach and away from the nightlife. We visited the Monkey Park, 10euros each way in a taxi, 10euros entry for adults and 5euros for children. A lovely morning out, no food facilities. Taxis across the road from the hotel or they will phone. Santiago crazy golf the the fountains are a must. We found it cheaper to eat out than Majorca. Lots of places. Turn right out the hotel, next right and you’re on the seafront - row of places to left - Raymond’s, Pier 8, McDs etc or plenty of places to right. Turn right on the hotel head straight down to the shopping centre, down the steps and Vista Sur is great. Then leads onto the back front. Buzz Excursions run by Alan (round the corner to the right) good for boat trips to see the pilot whales. Very knowledgeable. Don't be mislead by all the negative reviews on here, join the facebook group 'Compostela Beach Family Gardens, Tenerife'. Not a bad hotel, but
