Myself and a friend stayed in this hotel for a weekend break, and it was a wonderful experience! before we had even arrived we received an email explaining there was going to be work being done to the hotel, despite this, our stay wasn’t interrupted at all! All staff were very accommodating! but a special mention to Kris who made us a cup of tea after being out in the cold wondering all morning! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Really helpful staff they couldn’t do more for us, beautiful venue for my friend’s wedding and food was just lovely! The starter of the deep fried brie was one of the best starters I’ve ever had! Only thing was our room was located so far from where we had to get ready in the morning so had to do a few trips but understand this isn’t a reflection of how brilliant the overall stay was! Would recommend and return!

We only visited the bar and did not stay overnight but I can honestly say we’ve never had such a welcome as we did there. There was a gang of us from North Wales staying local for my brothers 60th and decided to go out for the afternoon Aug bank holiday Sunday and boy were we glad we did. Seriously all the staff and locals could not go enough to welcome us and to ensure we had a great time. I. Met some lovely characters outside and learnt more about the local area. Ellie was amazing and allowed me access to the disabled toilet as I was struggling with a limb complaint. The pub was so busy as live music was on during the afternoon but we never waited long at the bar as they were so efficient. The beers was a fab pint and they even arranged taxis back for us all. It was lovely to have a brief chat with Jackie who again couldn’t have made us feel more welcome if she tried. Great afternoon of beer, laughter, chatter, horse racing, music……. What more could we have all asked for!!! Thank you all so much and fingers crossed we will be back to see you one day!!! 🤞
