Hotel Sogo in Tarlac offers a budget-friendly accommodation option in the area. During our stay, we encountered issues with cleanliness, including stained linens and bathroom fixtures in need of repair. The staff were polite but could benefit from additional training in guest service and efficiency. The hotel lacks additional facilities such as a restaurant or recreational areas, limiting options for dining and leisure activities onsite. While Hotel Sogo provides an affordable option for budget-conscious travelers, improvements in cleanliness and guest services would enhance the overall guest experience.

We often stay here during the Undas. Now we stayed this Oct 30 to 31, 2022. We added extra bed for P800 pesos with breakfast included. The room we stayed is the Business Deluxe with 1 large bed 2 adults included breakfast. We ordered an extra breakfast for my son amouting to 175. The room includes electric kettle,complimentary,coffee,sugar,cream,bottled water, soap, shampoo. The AC is cold in the room. Here are some suggestions: -C.R doesn't have water heater -TV dont have netflix -Poor reception of tv -Can't connect in the wifi in the room.

ARRIVAL: From the moment I entered the fragrant reception hall, it was evident that this Microtel by Wyndham Tarlac is truly special. The beautifully landscaped garden fronting the facade and the warm welcome from the staff (Security Personnel to the Front Office Agents) set the stage for a curated experience. The entire team's attention to detail was remarkable and made me feel truly valued, all throughout my stay. Mind you, they have spacious parking too. BESPOKE STAYCATION: It is unforgettable how Sir Rob, the Front Office Supervisor, made personalized approach and really expressed eagerness to assist me with any inquiries or special requests was truly commendable. Ms. Nicole too went above and beyond duty and heeded my requests and inquiries in a timely manner. It is a business hotel but she certainly created an atmosphere of staycation for me. The comfort of the bed was certainly beyond compare. The heavenly queen sized bed provided the most restful night's sleep, and the quality of linens and pillows made it difficult to leave in the morning. I woke up refreshed and the sun is high up in the sky already - a clear sign of quality rest and sleep. JAPANESE CUISINE: I love Japanese cuisine the restaurant right beside the hotel building served my favorite dishes - the rice rolls and sashimi. It was a culinary journey that I did not actually expected but I loved all the way. I left with full tummy and a happy heart. You are my new Japanese Restaurant go to in Tarlac - IZAKAYA COWAN! It is hard to bade goodbye to the Microtel by Wyndham Tarlac team after staying with them for almost 24 hours. They made me felt like I am part of their family. It felt warm and welcoming. I wish to be back above all else!

Terible hotel! Avoid this at all cost I tried staying here at first in May. Since my preferred hotel is fully book ( Microtel) and it will be just for 1 night I opted to stay in this hotel since it is close to my work place. Impressions: ＞ parking is okay ＞ front desk is just okay ＞ internet is okay ＞ room smells dirty! ＞ Carpet Feel sticky and itchy! ＞ Window type aircon is very very noisy! ＞ Heater does not work! ＞ toilet shower is dirty ＞ Shower area lacks lighting It was a terrible stay! But since it was just one night i just let passed by. On my second travel in July last week since Microtel is again fully booked, I booked for 2 nights and asked if they have a premium room. But they offered only the deluxe room and with bath tub. Impression: ＞ since it was raining parking is flooded. Be sure to have extra shoes or remove your shoe or else it will be soaked in water! ＞ front desk is just okay ＞ internet is okay ＞ room offered still smells dirty! ＞ Carpet Feels still sticky and itchy! ＞ Window type aircon is very very very very very noisy! ＞ Heater does not work again! ＞ toilet shower is dirty! ＞ Shower area lacks lighting ＞ land line does not work. You have to go to lobby just to ask! ＞ there are no tissue upon using the room. ＞ I stayed two nights but you will never See someone clean or vacuum the carpet! Or hear any vacuum. Who knows if they even clean the carpet or when?! Here is the worst part: Upon check out Friday, “SHIELA” in the front desk did my transaction for I paid through my credit card. And she encountered an error (receipt didn’t print). So I left my card to and told her I will be back (I got something from my car) I came back and she said everything was okay. Upon arriving home I just noticed that in my credit card statement there were two (2) transactions done. So I called them back and found out that she made a mistake on swiping the card again after the first attempt. She could have voided the first transaction BUT OBVIOUSLY she wasn’t trained to do so. There was no supervisor or manager to assist her at that time as well. BUT WHY DID SHE NOT TELL ME BEFORE I LEFT!!! Now i kept on chasing the refund from them. “SHIELA” Even mentioned they do not offer refund anymore.! ***! It was not my mistake if you charge me twice! *** supper stupid! She offered me credit for the next stay only. And I refused since I will not be staying in their hotel anymore! I have to wait Monday before I got proper update. I was able to receive my refund Only until Thursday August 5! Another issue is that the refund received was less than the actual charge! Credit Card Charge was 3436! Receipt was 3406! The refund was 3401.64! See how stupid! Mahirap lng ikaw pa mag fofolow Up sa kanila para e refund ka! Parang gusto nila ako pa mag hahabol sa ginawa nilang kamalian! I know this is a low cost hotel but all services you get will also be low cost! This is the most disappointing and frustrating in my entire travel experience! Negati

A bit expensive but very nice and good service. The huts are quaint but the shared bathroom is not so good. We upgraded to a better room and got private bath. Definitely recommend

The place is clean and the room is comfortable to stay in. Met the owner (and family) who are all super friendly and accommodating (even provided us with cooking facility to reheat lechon for new year's eve). The other staff helped us with laundry which was not within their roles. The location being outside of the main city was still easily accessible yet, quiet from the hustle and bustle of the main roads. The 2nd floor balcony enabled good view of the fireworks during the New Year's Eve. Enjoyed the use of the pool to cool down after the day's walking around. Well recommended.

Hotel is located quite near to shopping centers, and even everybody here is using ”tricycle” there are many restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are tidy even li'l bit old, aircon and other electricity works only when your keycard is inserted to slot next to door. Pool is nice, warm water heated by sun, but quite small. For me big disappointment was breakfast. It was typical Filipino style, with just rice and another dish changed daily ( dried fish, chicken adobo, sardines.. etc). With those you can have an omelet or fried egg and toast. All internatiolal foods were missing. No bacon or beans, no cheese, ham or salami with your toast. Anyway, the staff is extreamly friendly and willing to help you with all your needs. Room rates are affodrable, especially when booked in advance ( Walk in rates vary)

Due to the Chinese Plague you have to find your gems closer to home. After not being able to leave for Baler for the weekend the girlfriend went on Google and came up with The Farmhouse by EDL. I'm all ears when things are not expensive so we booked two nights. The friendly staff made us feel welcome immediately. First impression: cosy, quiet, friendly, clean, very nice pool... Upon arrival we were the only guests so the staff took the liberty to upgrade our room. Due to the absence of guests we had to whole place to ourselves the entire stay. Just relax and enjoy the sound of birds and streaming water. Peace and quiet, no internet... It's not a surprise that we booked an extra night. Due to COVID it wasn't possible to do any activities during the time we were around, this was only told after arrival, it would've been nice to have known this earlier but the rest I found here made up for it.
