The Leddie

Recently refurbished to a very high standard and excellent in all areas. Lovely room with comfortable bed and cracking overhead ‘drench’ shower. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Handwritten welcome note and small ‘leaving’ pack of water and shortbread were small but thoughtful touches showing attention to detail often missing in other establishments. Staff were all excellent; professional, helpful and courteous. The Leddie has set the bar very high; it will interesting to see if it can maintain these standards. Will have to visit again to find out!

We have stayed at the Leddie twice now and we cannot fault it, all staff are lovely, the hotel is beautifully presented and looked after, the food and drink are awesome and you feel relaxed and welcome. Credit to the manager and staff!!

We really enjoyed our stay. It still smelt new when we walked into our room, and was very clean too. We were in a Junior Suite which was nice and spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy too. I couldn’t find online if there were irons in the room, but there are! Dinner and breakfast were also lovely. Our waiter recommended the rhubarb and lemon cocktail which was so tasty we had another! Quite expensive, but this was a treat for us so was expected! There is a lounge area, with games- we played chess with a drink and it was bliss! Really chilled atmosphere. I was unsure if I should have booked a hotel in North Berwick but decided to go for the Leddie as it looked so beautiful and it lived up to it! There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you into North Berwick and back at least twice an hour which was so convenient, so we’re glad we chose the nicer hotel and hopped on the bus to explore!

The Leddie is a wonderful place to stay and to eat. The hotel has been completely overhauled and upgraded quite recently and is now luxurious (although not overpriced) and comfortable. Newly done rooms with very modern bathrooms, excellent sleep quality (very quiet, and large comfortable beds) and really welcoming staff. The restaurant is very good too: full waiter service for breakfast, and a lovely menu. The evening menu is somewhat conservative but everything is beautifully cooked and service is great. The location could not be better for coastal walks. The village is so pretty. There is a very good local grocery shop right opposite the hotel which is very useful.

Visited last night using a birthday voucher I received from family. Staff were lovely & attentive, it's a bit pricey had I not had my voucher however the food was really delicious that we had 3 courses which I rarely do & I'll definitely return. If I had to be picky, a couple of less tables in the restaurant would be nice, the couple sat at the next table were so close I could hear their conversation.

Stayed 3 nights, rooms, although small are beautifully furnished and very clean. Bed very comfortable. Food excellent, and staff very professional and friendly. We would definately return.
